¹¹ And He did not stretch out His hand to the nobles of the sons of Israel. And they saw God, and they ate and drank.

¹³ And she called the name of Jehovah, the One speaking to her, You, a God of vision! For she said, Even here I have looked after the One seeing me?

¹⁸ And Abraham shall become a great and powerful nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?

⁵⁴ And Jacob sacrificed a sacrifice on the mountain, and called his brothers to eat bread. And they ate bread and stayed on the mountain.

²⁴ And Jacob was left alone. And a Man wrestled with him until the ascending of the dawn. ²⁵ And He saw that He had not prevailed against him. And He touched on his hip socket, and Jacob's hip socket was unhinged as he wrestled with Him. ²⁶ And He said, Send me away, for the dawn has ascended. And he said, I will not let you go unless You bless me. ²⁷ And He said to him, What is your name? And he said, Jacob. ²⁸ And He said, Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel, because you have wrestled with God and with men, and have prevailed. ²⁹ And Jacob asked and said, Please reveal Your name. And He said, Why this that you ask about My name? And He blessed him there. ³⁰ And Jacob called the name of the place Penuel, because I saw God face to face, and my life is delivered. ³¹ And the sun rose on him as he passed over Penuel, and he was limping on his thigh. ³² On account of this the sons of Israel do not eat the sinew of the thigh that is on the hip socket until this day, because He touched on Jacob's hip socket, on the sinew of the thigh.

¹² And Jethro, the father-in-law of Moses, took a burnt offering and sacrifices to God. And Aaron and all the elders of Israel came to eat bread before God with Moses' father-in-law.

²¹ And Jehovah said to Moses, Go down, warn the people lest they break through to gaze at Jehovah, and many of them fall.

¹ And He said to Moses, Come up to Jehovah, you and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy from the elders of Israel. And bow yourselves from a distance.

⁹ And Moses and Aaron went up with Nadab and Abihu, and seventy from the elders of Israel. ¹⁰ And they saw the God of Israel. And under His feet was as the work of a pavement of sapphire, and the same as the heavens for clearness.

²⁰ And he said, You are not able to see My face; for no man can see Me and live. ²¹ And Jehovah said, Behold, a place by Me! And you shall stand on a rock. ²² And as My glory is passing it will be that I will put you in a cleft of the rock; and I will cover My palm over you during My passing. ²³ And I will remove My palm, and you shall see My back; but My face cannot be seen.

¹⁸ The well which the rulers dug, which the nobles of the people dug with their staves, at the word of the Lawgiver. And from the wilderness they went to Mattanah.

³³ as a people heard the voice of God speaking from the midst of the fire, as you have heard, and lived?

⁷ And you shall eat there before Jehovah your God, and shall rejoice in all that you put your hand to, you and your households, with which Jehovah your God has blessed you.

¹³ Then He caused me to tread on the remnant of the noble ones of the people; Jehovah trod for me among the warriors.

²² And Manoah said to his wife, We shall surely die, because we have seen God.

⁸ And she wrote letters in the name of Ahab, and sealed with his seal, and sent the letters to the elders and to the nobles of his city, dwelling with Naboth.

²⁰ And he took the commanders of the hundreds, and the honorable ones, and the rulers among the people, and all the people of the land, and brought the king down from the house of Jehovah; and they came in through the Upper Gate to the king's house, and made the king sit on the throne of the kingdom.

¹⁶ And the rulers did not know where I had gone, or what I was doing. Nor had I told it yet to the Jews, or to the priests, or to the nobles, or to the rulers, or to the rest that did the work.

⁷ Go, eat your bread with joy, and drink your wine with a merry heart, for God now is pleased with your works.

³ And their nobles have sent their little ones for water. They came to the cisterns; they found no water. They returned with their vessels empty. They were ashamed and confounded and covered their head.

²³ And bring the fattened calf, slaughter and let us eat and be merry; ²⁴ for this son of mine was dead, and lived again, and was lost, and was found. And they began to be merry.

¹⁶ The cup of blessing that we bless, is it not a partaking of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not a partaking of the body of Christ? ¹⁷ Because we, the many, are one bread, one body, for we all partake of the one bread. ¹⁸ Look at Israel according to flesh; are not those eating the sacrifices partakers of the altar?
