⁸ O Jehovah, be merciful to Your people Israel, whom You have redeemed, and do not allow innocent blood in the midst of Your people Israel. And the blood shall be forgiven them.

³³ And you shall not pollute the land in which you are, for blood pollutes the land. And no ransom is to be taken for the land for blood which is shed in it, except for the blood of him who sheds it; ³⁴ and you shall not defile the land in which you are living. I dwell in its midst, for I, Jehovah, am dwelling among the sons of Israel.

²⁸ And afterward David heard, and said, I and my kingdom are guiltless before Jehovah forever from the blood of Abner the son of Her.

⁴ and also the innocent blood that he shed; for he filled Jerusalem with innocent blood, and Jehovah was not willing to forgive.

¹² Who can discern errors? Acquit me from secret faults,

¹⁵ But know for certain that if you put me to death, you shall surely bring innocent blood on yourselves, and on this city, and on its inhabitants. For truly Jehovah has sent me to you, to speak all these words in your ears.

³ And they fornicated in Egypt; in their youth they fornicated. Their breasts were handled, and there their virgin nipples were worked.

²⁴ And they shall come against you with weapons, chariots, and wheels, and with a group of peoples; buckler and shield and helmet shall set against you all around. And I will give before them judgment, and they will judge you by their judgments. ²⁵ And I will give My jealousy against you, and they will deal with you in fury. Your nose and your ears they will take, and the rest of you shall fall by the sword. They will take your sons and your daughters, and the rest of you shall be devoured by the fire.

¹⁴ And they cried out to Jehovah, and said, We beseech You, O Jehovah, we beseech You, do not let us perish for this man's life, and do not lay innocent blood on us. For You, O Jehovah, have done as You desired.

³⁵ so that should come on you all the righteous blood poured out on the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah the son of Berechiah whom you murdered between the Holy Place and the altar.

¹⁵ who both killed the Lord Jesus and their own prophets, also driving us out, and not pleasing God, and being contrary to all men, ¹⁶ hindering us from speaking to the nations in order that they be saved, to fill up their sins always. But the wrath has come on them to the uttermost.
