¹³ But I deem it right, so long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by a reminder,

¹⁴ And Jehovah stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel, the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua, the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people. And they came and worked on the house of Jehovah of hosts, their God,

¹ For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle is taken down, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in Heaven. ² For indeed in this we groan, greatly desiring to be clothed with our dwelling place out of Heaven, ³ if indeed in being clothed, we shall not be found naked. ⁴ For indeed, being in the tabernacle, we groan, having been weighted down, inasmuch as we do not wish to be unclothed, but to be clothed, so that the mortal may be swallowed up by the life.

⁸ we are fully assured, then, and are pleased rather to go away from home out of the body, and to come home to the Lord.

⁶ For which cause I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands.

³ Be mindful of the prisoners, as having been bound with them; of those ill-treated, as also being in the body yourselves.

¹² For this reason I will not neglect to cause you to remember always concerning these things, though you know and have been confirmed in the present truth.

¹⁴ knowing that the putting off of my tabernacle is soon, as indeed our Lord Jesus Christ made clear to me.

¹ Beloved, I now write to you this second epistle, in which by reminder I stir up your sincere mind to remember
