⁶ as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord; whose children you became, doing good, and fearing no terror. Gen. 18:12

¹² And Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After my being old, shall there be pleasure to me; my lord also being old?

¹⁵ And Sarah denied, saying, I did not laugh; for she was afraid. And He said, No, but you did laugh.

¹¹ And whom have you dreaded and feared? You have lied and have not remembered Me, not laying it on your heart. Have I not been silent, even from forever, and you have not feared Me?

¹⁶ Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to return a word to you on this matter. ¹⁷ If it is so that our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning, fiery furnace, then He will deliver out of your hand, O king. ¹⁸ And if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the golden image which you have set up.

⁶⁹ And Peter sat outside in the court. And one girl came near to him, saying, And you were with Jesus the Galilean. ⁷⁰ But he denied before all, saying, I do not know what you say. ⁷¹ And he, going out into the porch, another saw him and said to those there, And this one was with Jesus the Nazarene. ⁷² And again he denied with an oath, I do not know the man. ⁷³ And after a little, coming near, those standing by said to Peter, Truly you also are of them, for even your speech makes you known. ⁷⁴ Then he began to curse and to swear, I do not know the man. And immediately a cock crowed. ⁷⁵ And Peter recalled the word of Jesus, saying to him, Before a cock crows, you will deny Me three times. And going out, he wept bitterly.

⁸ Then being filled of the Holy Spirit, Peter said to them, Rulers of the people and elders of Israel, ⁹ if we are being examined today on a good work of an infirm man, by what this one has been healed, ¹⁰ let it be known to all of you, and to all the people of Israel, that in the name of Jesus Christ the Nazaraean, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, in this name this one stands before you whole. ¹¹ This One is the Stone counted worthless by you the builders, which has become to be the Head of the Corner; Psa. 118:22 ¹² and there is salvation in no other One, for neither is there any other name under Heaven having been given among men by which we must be saved. ¹³ But seeing the boldness of Peter and John, and having perceived that they are untaught and uneducated men, they marveled. And they recognized them, that they were with Jesus.

¹⁹ But answering them Peter and John said, Whether it is right before God to listen to you rather than God, you judge.

⁷ nor because they are Abraham's seed are all children, but "In Isaac a Seed shall be called to you." Gen. 21:12 ⁸ That is: Not the children of flesh are children of God, but the children of the promise are counted for a seed. ⁹ For the word of promise is this, According to this time I will come, and a son will be to Sarah. Gen. 18:10

²² For it has been written, Abraham had two sons, one out of the slave woman and one out of the free woman. ²³ But, indeed, he of the slave woman has been born according to flesh, and he out of the free woman through the promise, ²⁴ which things are being allegorized, for these are two covenants, one, indeed, from Mount Sinai bringing forth to slavery (which is Hagar, ²⁵ for Hagar is Mount Sinai in Arabia and corresponds to the present Jerusalem, and she slaves with her children), ²⁶ but the Jerusalem from above is free, who is the mother of us all;

¹⁴ But if you truly suffer because of righteousness, blessed are you . "But do not fear their fear, nor be troubled. ¹⁵ But sanctify" Isa. 8:12, 13 the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give an answer to everyone asking you a reason concerning the hope in you, with meekness and fear,
