² according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit to obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace and peace be multiplied to you.

⁶ For you are a holy people to Jehovah your God. Jehovah your God has chosen you to be His own treasure out of all the people on the face of the earth.

⁷ Let the wicked forsake his way and the vain man his thoughts; and let him return to Jehovah, and He will have mercy on him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.

⁹ And I will bring forth a seed out of Jacob, and out of Judah one to inherit My mountains. And My chosen one shall inherit, and My servants shall live there.

²² They shall not build, and another live in them; they shall not plant, and another eat. For like the days of the tree are the days of My people; and My elect shall grow old to the work of their hands.

¹ Nebuchadnezzar the king to all the peoples, the nations, and the tongues that dwell in all the earth: Your peace be multiplied.

²⁵ Then king Darius wrote to all the peoples, the nations, and the languages who were living in all the earth: Peace be multiplied to you.

²² And except those days were shortened, not any flesh would be saved. But on account of the elect, those days will be shortened.

²⁴ For false christs and false prophets will rise up. And they will give great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect.

³¹ And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather His elect from the four winds, from the ends of the heavens to their ends.

²⁰ And if the Lord had not shortened the days, not any flesh would be saved; but because of the elect whom He chose, He has shortened the days.

²² For false christs and false prophets will be raised, and they will give signs and wonders in order to lead astray, if possible, even the elect.

²⁷ And then He will send His angels and will gather His elect from the four winds, from the end of earth to the end of heaven.

⁷ and will God not at all execute the avenging of His elect, those crying to Him day and night, also having been long-suffering over them?

¹⁶ You have not chosen Me, but I chose you out and planted you, that you should go and should bear fruit, and your fruit remain, that whatever you should ask the Father in My name, He may give you. ¹⁷ These things I command you, that you love one another. ¹⁸ If the world hates you, you know that it has hated Me before it has hated you. ¹⁹ If you were of the world, the world would love its own. But because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, for this reason the world hates you.

²³ this One given to you by the before-determined counsel and foreknowledge of God, you having taken by lawless hands, having crucified Him, you put Him to death.

¹⁸ All His works are known to God from eternity.

³² And now, brothers, I commend you to God and to the Word of His grace, which is able to build up and to give you inheritance among all those having been sanctified.

⁵ by whom we received grace and apostleship to obedience of faith among all the nations, for His name's sake,

⁷ to all those who are in Rome, beloved of God, called-out saints, Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

¹³ for if you live according to flesh, you are going to die. But if by the Spirit you put to death the practices of the body, you will live.

²⁹ because whom He foreknew, He also predestinated to be conformed to the image of His Son, for Him to be the First-born among many brothers. ³⁰ But whom He predestinated, these He also called; and whom He called, these He also justified; but whom He justified, these He also glorified.

³³ Who will bring any charge against God's elect? God is the One justifying!

²³ and that He make known the riches of His glory on vessels of mercy which He before prepared for glory, ²⁴ whom He also called, not only us, of Jews, but also out of nations.

² "God did not thrust away His people" whom He foreknew. Psa. 94:14 Or do you not know what the Scripture said in Elijah, how he pleaded with God against Israel, saying,

⁵ So then, also in the present time a remnant according to election of grace has come into being. Isa. 29:10, Deut. 29:4 ⁶ But if by grace, no longer is it of works; else grace no longer becomes grace. But if of works, it is no longer grace; else work is no longer work. ⁷ What then? What Israel seeks, this it did not obtain, but the election obtained it, and the rest were hardened;

²⁸ Indeed, as regards the gospel, enemies for you, but as regards the election, beloved for the sake of the fathers.

¹⁶ for me to be a minister of Jesus Christ to the nations, sacredly ministering the gospel of God, that the offering of the nations might be acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.

¹⁹ For your obedience reached to all; therefore, I rejoice over you. But I desire you to be truly wise as to good, but simple toward evil.

²⁶ but now has been made plain, and by prophetic Scriptures, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known for obedience of faith to all the nations;

³⁰ But of Him, you are in Christ Jesus, who was made to us wisdom from God, both righteousness and sanctification and redemption,

¹¹ And some were these things, but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God.

⁵ pulling down imaginations and every high thing lifting up itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought into the obedience of Christ,

⁴ according as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, for us to be holy and without blemish before Him in love, ⁵ predestinating us to adoption through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will,

¹² Then put on as the elect of God, holy and beloved, tender feelings of compassions, kindness, humility, meekness, long-suffering,

¹³ But we ought to thank God always concerning you, brothers, beloved by the Lord, because God chose you from the beginning to salvation in sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth,

¹⁰ Because of this, I endure all things on account of the elect, that they also may obtain salvation in Christ Jesus, with everlasting glory.

¹ Paul, a slave of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ according to the faith of the elect of God and full knowledge of the truth according to godliness,

⁹ and being perfected, He became the Author of eternal salvation to all the ones obeying Him,

¹⁹ For when every command had been spoken according to Law by Moses to all the people, he took the blood of the calves and goats, with water and scarlet wool and hyssop, and he sprinkled both the scroll and all the people, ²⁰ saying, "This is the blood of the covenant which God enjoined to you." Ex. 24:8 ²¹ And he likewise sprinkled both the tabernacle and all the service vessels with the blood. ²² And almost all things are cleansed by blood according to the Law; and apart from shedding of blood no remission occurs.

²² let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, our hearts having been sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our body having been washed in pure water;

²⁸ By faith he made the Passover, and the sprinkling of blood, that the destroyer of the first-born might not touch them.

²⁴ and to Jesus the Mediator of a new covenant, and to blood of sprinkling speaking better things than that of Abel.

²² Having purified your souls in the obedience of the truth through the Spirit to unpretended brotherly love, love one another fervently out of a pure heart,

⁹ But you are "an elect race," "a royal priesthood," "a holy nation," "a people for possession," so that "you may openly speak of the virtues" of the One who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; LXX-Ex. 23:22; MT-Ex. 19:5, 6

² Grace to you, and peace be multiplied by a full knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord.

¹ The elder to the elect lady and her children, whom I love in truth; and not I only, but also all those who have known the truth,

¹³ The children of your elect sister greet you. Amen.
