⁶ And Solomon said, You have shown great kindness to Your servant, my father David, as he walked before You in truth and in righteousness and in uprightness of heart with You. And You have kept for him this great kindness, and have given to him a son sitting on his throne, as today.

⁷ It is not so with My servant Moses! He is faithful in all My house.

⁵ Go, and you shall say to My servant, to David, So says Jehovah, Will you build a house for Me, for My dwelling?

⁸ And now, so you shall say to My servant, to David, So says Jehovah of hosts, I have taken you from the resting place, from following the flock, to be ruler over My people, over Israel. ⁹ And I have been with you wherever you went, and have cut off all your enemies from before you and have made you a great name, like the name of the great men who are on the earth. ¹⁰ And I will designate a place for My people Israel, and will plant them, that they may dwell in their own place and not be made to tremble any more. Nor shall the sons of evil afflict them again, as at the first, ¹¹ even from the day I commanded judges to be over My people Israel. And I will cause you to rest from all your enemies. And Jehovah declares to you that Jehovah will make you a house. ¹² When your days are fulfilled, and you lie with your fathers, then I shall raise up your seed after you, who shall come out from your bowels, and I shall establish his kingdom.

⁷ And Nathan said to David, You are the man! So says Jehovah, the God of Israel, I anointed you as king over Israel, and I delivered you out of the hand of Saul. ⁸ And I gave you the house of your master, and your master's wives into your bosom. And I gave you the house of Israel and of Judah. And if that were too little, then I would have added to you these and those things .

⁴⁷ Jehovah lives! And blessed is the rock of my salvation. ⁴⁸ He is God who is giving vengeance for me, and brings down peoples under me, ⁴⁹ and brings me forth from my enemies; yea, You raise me up above those rising up against me; You deliver me from the violent man. ⁵⁰ On account of this I will confess You, Jehovah, among nations. and I will sing praise to Your name. ⁵¹ A tower of salvation is He to His king; even doing mercy to His anointed, to David and to his seed, until forever!

⁴⁸ And also the king has said, Blessed is Jehovah the God of Israel who has today given one sitting on my throne, and my eyes seeing it.

⁴ so that Jehovah may establish His word which He spoke to me, saying, If your sons take heed to their way, to walk before me in truth, with all their heart, and with all their soul, saying, There shall not be a man to you cut off from the throne of Israel.

⁴ And you, if you walk before me as your father David walked, in singleness of heart, and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded you; you shall keep My statutes and My judgments;

⁵ For David did that which is right in the eyes of Jehovah, and did not turn aside from all that He commanded him all the days of his life, except in the matter of Uriah the Hittite.

³ I pray to You, O Jehovah, please remember how I have walked always before your face in truth, and with a perfect heart, and I have done the good in Your eyes. And Hezekiah wept with a great weeping.

¹² and the riches, and the honor come from before You, and You rule over all; and in Your hand is power and might; and it is in Your hand to make great, and to give strength to all. ¹³ And now, our God, we are giving thanks to You, and giving praise to Your glorious name; ¹⁴ yea, for who am I, and who my people, that we should be able to offer willingly in this way? For all is of You, and we have given to You out of Your hand;

⁶ I will sing to Jehovah, because He has rewarded me.

² He who walks uprightly and works righteousness, and speaks the truth in his heart.

²⁰ Jehovah rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands, He has repaid me. ²¹ For I have kept the ways of Jehovah, and have not wickedly departed from my God. ²² For all His judgments were before me, and I did not turn away His statutes from me. ²³ For I was upright with Him, and kept myself from my guilt. ²⁴ And Jehovah has returned to me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands before His eyes.

⁷⁰ He also chose His servant David, and took him from the sheepfolds; ⁷¹ He brought him in from the suckling ewes; He brought him to feed His people Jacob, and His inheritance, Israel. ⁷² And he fed them in the integrity of his heart; and guided them in the skillfulness of his hands.

⁷ Return to your rest, O soul; for Jehovah has blessed you.

¹⁷ Gimel. Deal bountifully with Your servant that I may live, and I will keep Your word.

⁵ Therefore, I thought it necessary to exhort the brothers, that they go forward to you and arrange beforehand your promised blessing, this to be ready, thus as a blessing and not as greediness.

¹¹ in everything you being enriched to all generosity, which works out thanksgiving to God through us.
