²⁸ And now, little children, abide in Him, that when He is revealed we may have confidence, and not be shamed from Him in His coming.

⁹ And one shall say in that day, Behold, this is our God; we have waited for Him, and He will save us. This is Jehovah; we have waited for Him; we will be glad and rejoice in His salvation.

¹⁷ Israel is saved in Jehovah with everlasting salvation. You shall not be ashamed nor disgraced to the forevers of eternity.

² But who can endure the day of His coming? And who will stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner's fire and like fuller's soap.

⁵ Behold, I am sending you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of Jehovah.

³⁸ For whoever may be ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of man will also be ashamed of him when He comes in the glory of His Father, along with the holy angels.

⁷ so that you are not lacking in any gift, awaiting the revelation of our Lord, Jesus Christ,

²³ But each in his own order: Christ, the firstfruit, afterward those of Christ at His coming.

⁴ Whenever Christ our life is revealed, then also you will be revealed with Him in glory.

¹⁹ For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of glorying? Are you not even to be before our Lord Jesus Christ at His coming?

¹³ in order to establish your hearts blameless in holiness before our God and our Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all His saints.

²³ And may the God of peace Himself fully sanctify you, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

¹⁴ that you keep the commandment spotless, blameless, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ,

⁸ For the rest, the crown of righteousness is laid up for me, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me in that Day, and not only to me, but also to all the ones loving His appearance.

¹³ looking for the blessed hope and appearance of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ,

²⁸ so being once offered "to bear the sins of many," Christ shall appear a second time without sin to those expecting Him for salvation. Isa. 53:12

⁷ so that the proving of your faith, much more precious than perishing gold, but having been proved through fire, may be found to praise and honor and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

⁴ And at the appearing of the Chief Shepherd, you will receive the never fading crown of glory.

⁴ and saying, Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue this way from the beginning of creation. ⁵ For this is hidden from them by their willing it so, that heavens were of old, and earth by water, and through water, being held together by the word of God, ⁶ through which the world which then was, being flooded by water, perished. ⁷ But the heavens and the earth now, having been stored up by the same word, are being kept for fire to a day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men. ⁸ But let not this one thing be hidden from you, beloved, that one day with the Lord is "as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day." Psa. 90:4 ⁹ The Lord of the promise is not slow, as some deem slowness, but is long-suffering toward us, not having purposed any of us to perish, but all of us to come to repentance. ¹⁰ But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with rushing sound, and having burned the elements will be dissolved, and earth and the works in it will be burned up. ¹¹ Then all these being about to be dissolved, what sort ought you to be in holy behavior and godliness, ¹² looking for and hastening the coming of the Day of God, through which the heavens having been set afire will be dissolved; and burning, the elements will melt?

¹ My little children, I write these things to you so that you do not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.

² Beloved, now we are the children of God, and it was not yet revealed what we shall be. But we know that if He is revealed, we shall be like Him, because we shall see Him as He is.

²¹ Beloved, if our heart does not accuse us, we have confidence with God.

¹⁷ By this love has been perfected with us, that we have confidence in the day of judgment, that as He is, we are also in this world.

¹⁴ And this is the confidence we have toward Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.

⁷ "Behold, He comes with the clouds," and "every eye will see Him, and the ones who pierced" Him, and all the tribes of the earth "will wail on account of Him." Yes, Amen. Dan. 7:13; Zech. 12:10
