¹¹ And the crowds were saying, "This is the prophet Jesus from Nazareth of Galilee!"

¹⁵ "Yahweh your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from your midst, from your countrymen,* and to him you shall listen. ¹⁶ This is _⌊according to all that you asked_⌋* from Yahweh your God at Horeb, on the day of the assembly, _⌊saying_⌋,* '_⌊I do not want again to hear_⌋* the voice of Yahweh my God, and I do not want to see again this great fire, so that I may not die!' ¹⁷ And Yahweh said to me, 'They are right in what they have said. ¹⁸ I will raise up a prophet for them _⌊from among their countrymen_⌋* like you, and I will place* my words into his mouth, and he shall speak to them _⌊everything that I command him_⌋.* ¹⁹ _⌊And then_⌋* the man that will not listen to my words that he shall speak in my name, I will hold accountable.

²³ And he came and* lived in a town called Nazareth, in order that what was said by the prophets would be fulfilled:* "He will be called a Nazarene."

¹³ Now when* Jesus came to the region of Caesarea _⌊Philippi_⌋,* he began asking* his disciples, saying, "Who do people say that the Son of Man is?" ¹⁴ And they said, _⌊Some_⌋* say John the Baptist, but others Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets."

¹⁵ But others were saying, "He is Elijah," and others were saying, "He is a prophet like one of the prophets."

¹⁶ And fear seized them all, and they began to glorify* God, saying, "A great prophet has appeared among us!" and "God has visited to help his people!"

³⁹ Now when* the Pharisee who invited him saw this,* he spoke to himself, saying, "If this man were a prophet, he would have known who and what kind of woman this is who is touching him, that she is a sinner."

³³ Nevertheless, it is necessary for me to be on the way today and tomorrow and on the next day, because it is not possible for a prophet to perish outside Jerusalem.

¹⁹ And he said to them, "What things?" So they said to him, "The things concerning Jesus the Nazarene, a man who was a prophet, powerful in deed and word before God and all the people,

²⁵ And they asked him and said to him, "Why then are you baptizing, if you are not the Christ, nor Elijah, nor the Prophet?"

⁴⁵ Philip found Nathanael and said to him, "We have found the one whom Moses wrote about in the law, and the prophets wrote about—Jesus son of Joseph from Nazareth!" ⁴⁶ And Nathanael said to him, "Can anything good come out of Nazareth?" Philip said to him, "Come and see!"

¹⁹ The woman said to him, "Sir, I see that you are a prophet.

⁴⁰ Then, when they* heard these words, some from the crowd began to say,* "This man is truly the Prophet!"

¹⁷ So they said to the blind man again, "What do you say about him, because he opened your eyes?" And he said, "He is a prophet."

²² Moses said, 'The Lord God* will raise up for you a prophet like me from your brothers. You will listen to him in everything that he says to you.* ²³ And it will be that every soul who does not listen to that prophet will be destroyed utterly from the people.'*
