⁶ But he said to them, "Do not be alarmed. You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene who was crucified. He has been raised, he is not here! See the place where they laid him!

²⁰ You who have caused me* to see many troubles and evils, you will again revive me.* And from the depths of the earth you will again bring me up.

³ Boast about his holy name. Let the heart of those who seek Yahweh rejoice. ⁴ Make supplication to Yahweh and his might; seek his face continually.

¹⁷ I love _⌊those who love me_⌋,* and those who seek me diligently shall find me.

⁴⁰ For just as Jonah was in the belly of the huge fish three days and three nights, so the Son of Man will be in the heart of the earth three days and three nights.

²⁶ But the disciples, when they* saw him walking on the sea, were terrified, saying, "It is a ghost!" and they cried out in fear. ²⁷ But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, "Have courage, I am he! Do not be afraid!"

⁴ And the guards trembled from the fear of him and became like dead men. ⁵ But the angel answered and* said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. ⁶ He is not here, for he has been raised, just as he said. Come, see the place where he was lying. ⁷ And go quickly, tell his disciples, 'He has been raised from the dead, and behold, he is going ahead of you into Galilee. You will see him there.' Behold, I have told you."

²⁴ saying, "_⌊Leave us alone_⌋,* Jesus the Nazarene! Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are—the Holy One of God!"

⁹ And as* they were coming down from the mountain, he ordered them that they should tell no one the things that they had seen, except when the Son of Man had risen from the dead. ¹⁰ And they kept the matter to themselves, discussing what this rising from the dead _⌊meant_⌋.*

³⁴ And they will mock him and spit on him and flog him and kill him,* and after three days he will rise."

⁴ And it happened that while they were perplexed about this, behold, two men in gleaming clothing stood near them. ⁵ And as* they were terrified and bowed their faces to the ground, they said to them, "Why are you looking for the living among the dead? ⁶ He is not here, but has been raised! Remember how he spoke to you while he* was still in Galilee, ⁷ saying that the Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of men who are sinners, and be crucified, and on the third day rise?" ⁸ And they remembered his words,

²⁰ and how our chief priests and rulers handed him over to a sentence of death, and crucified him. ²¹ But we were hoping that he was the one who was going to redeem Israel. But in addition to all these things, this is the third day _⌊since_⌋* these things took place. ²² But also some women from among us astonished us, who were at the tomb early in the morning, ²³ and when they* did not find his body, they came back saying they had seen even a vision of angels, who said that he was alive! ²⁴ And some of those with us went out to the tomb and found it* like this, just as the women had also said, but him they did not see." ²⁵ And he said to them, "O foolish and slow in heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken! ²⁶ Was it not necessary that the Christ suffer these things and enter into his glory?" ²⁷ And beginning from Moses and from all the prophets, he interpreted to them the things concerning himself in all the scriptures.

⁴⁶ and said to them, "Thus it is written that the Christ would suffer and would rise from the dead on the third day,

¹⁹ Jesus answered and said to them, "Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up!" ²⁰ Then the Jews said, "This temple has been under construction* forty-six years, and will you raise it up in three days?" ²¹ But he was speaking about the temple of his body. ²² So when he was raised from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this, and they believed the scripture and the saying that Jesus had spoken.

¹⁹ And Pilate also wrote a notice and placed it* on the cross, and it was written: "Jesus the Nazarene, the king of the Jews." ²⁰ So many of the Jews read this notice, because the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city. And it was written in Aramaic, in Latin, and in Greek.

²² "Israelite men, listen to these words! Jesus the Nazarene, a man attested to you by God with deeds of power and wonders and signs that God did through him in your midst, just as you yourselves know— ²³ this man, delivered up by the determined plan and foreknowledge of God, you executed by* nailing to a cross* through the hand of lawless men.

¹⁰ let it be known to all of you and to all the people of Israel that by the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead—by him this man stands before you healthy!

³⁸ Jesus of Nazareth—how God anointed him with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, because God was with him. ³⁹ And we are witnesses of all the things that he did both in the land of the Judeans and in Jerusalem, whom they also executed by* hanging him* on a tree. ⁴⁰ God raised this one up on the third day and granted that he should become visible,

³ For I passed on to you _⌊as of first importance_⌋* what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures, ⁴ and that he was buried, and that he was raised up on the third day according to the scriptures, ⁵ and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve, ⁶ then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers at once, the majority of whom remain until now, but some have fallen asleep. ⁷ Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles,

¹⁷ And when I saw him, I fell at his feet like a dead person, and he placed his right hand on me, saying, "Do not be afraid! I am the first and the last, ¹⁸ and the one who lives, and I was dead, and behold, I am living _⌊forever and ever_⌋*, and I hold the keys of death and of Hades.
