¹⁹ if, however, the land of your property is unclean, cross over to the land of Yahweh's property, where Yahweh's tabernacle resides,* and take possession among us. But you must not rebel against Yahweh or against us by building for yourselves an altar other than the altar of Yahweh our God.

¹⁷ You brought them and planted them on the mountain of your inheritance, a place you made for yourself to inhabit, Yahweh, a sanctuary, Lord, that your hands established.

⁸ "And you shall say to them, 'if there is _⌊anyone_⌋* from the house of Israel or* from the alien who dwells in their midst who offers a burnt offering or a sacrifice ⁹ and he does not bring it to the tent of assembly's entrance to _⌊sacrifice_⌋* it for Yahweh, then* that man shall be cut off from his people.

²⁵ So* the land became unclean, and _⌊I have brought the punishment of_⌋* its guilt upon it, and the land has vomited out its inhabitants. ²⁶ But* you (neither the native nor* the alien who is dwelling in your midst) shall keep my statutes and my regulations, and you shall not _⌊practice_⌋* any of these detestable things ²⁷ (because the people of the land, who were _⌊before you_⌋,* did all these detestable things, so the land became unclean), ²⁸ so that the land will not vomit you out when you make it unclean just as it vomited out the nation that was _⌊before you_⌋.*

⁵ _⌊But only_⌋* to the place that Yahweh your God will choose from all of your tribes to place his name there as his dwelling shall you seek, and there you shall go. ⁶ And you shall bring there your burnt offerings and your sacrifices and your tithes and _⌊your donations_⌋* and your votive gifts and your freewill offerings and the firstling of your herd and your flock.

¹ The entire congregation of the _⌊Israelites_⌋* assembled at Shiloh, and they set up there the tent of meeting, and the land was subdued before them.*

¹³ Now the priests and the Levites who were throughout all Israel took their stand with him* from all their territories.

¹⁶ Then after them, from all the tribes of Israel, those who set their heart to seek Yahweh, the God of Israel, came to Jerusalem to offer to Yahweh, the God of their ancestors.* ¹⁷ And they strengthened the kingdom of Judah and made Rehoboam, the son of Solomon, secure for three years, for they walked in the way of David and Solomon for three years.

¹⁷ Therefore, thus says Yahweh, 'Your wife will become a prostitute in the city and your sons and your daughters will fall by the sword and your land will be divided with a line, and you* will die in an unclean land and Israel will surely go into exile from this land.'"

¹⁴ But Peter said, "Certainly not, Lord! For I have never eaten anything common and unclean!" ¹⁵ And the voice came again to him for the second time: "The things which God has made clean, you must not consider unclean!"

⁸ But I said, 'Certainly not, Lord! For nothing common or unclean has ever entered into my mouth!' ⁹ But the voice replied from heaven for the second time, 'The things which God has made clean, you must not consider unclean!'
