And whoever is chosen I will appoint over it. For who is like me, and who can summon me? And who is this, the shepherd who can stand _⌊before me_⌋?"*

¹¹ Who is like you among the gods, Yahweh? Who is like you—glorious in holiness, awesome in praiseworthy actions, doing wonders?*

¹⁵ When those carrying the ark came up to the Jordan, and the priests carrying the ark dipped their feet in the edge of the water (the Jordan was flowing over its banks during all the days of harvest),

¹⁵ These were they who crossed the Jordan in the first month, when it was filled over its banks. And they put to flight all who were in the valley to the east and to the west.

No, but he himself* would give heed to me. ⁷ There an upright person could reason with him, and I would be acquitted forever by my judge.

² "Shall a faultfinder contend with Shaddai? Anyone who argues with God must answer it." ³ So Job answered Yahweh and said, ⁴ "Look, I am insignificant. What shall I answer you? I lay my hand on my mouth. ⁵ Once I have spoken, and I will not answer; even* twice, but* I will not proceed." ⁶ Then* Yahweh answered Job from the storm, and he said, ⁷ "_⌊Prepare yourself for a difficult task like a man_⌋,* and I will question you, and you shall declare to me. ⁸ "Indeed, would you annul my justice? Would you condemn me, so that you might be righteous?

¹⁰ Is it not fierce when somebody stirs it? Who then is he who would stand _⌊before it_⌋?*

³ 'Who is this darkening counsel without knowledge?' Therefore I uttered, but* I did not understand; _⌊things too wonderful for me_⌋,* but I did not know. ⁴ 'Hear and I will speak; I will question you, then* inform me.' ⁵ By the ear's hearing I heard of you, but* now my eye has seen you.

⁷ _⌊You, indeed, are to be feared_⌋,* and who can stand before you when you are angry? *

⁶ For who in the sky* is equal to Yahweh? Who is like Yahweh among the sons of God,

⁸ O Yahweh God of hosts, who is mighty like you, O Yah, with* your faithfulness surrounding you?

⁵ Who is like Yahweh our God, who is enthroned on high,* ⁶ who _⌊condescends to look at_⌋* what is in the heavens and in the earth?

² And do not enter into judgment with your servant, because no one alive is righteous before you.

²⁵ "And to whom you will compare me, and am I equal?" says the holy one.

⁷ A lion has gone up from his thicket, and a destroyer of nations has set out. He has gone out from his place to make your land as a horror, your cities will go to ruin _⌊without_⌋* inhabitant.

⁵ "If you run with foot soldiers and they have made you weary, then how will you compete with horses? If you have fallen in _⌊a peaceful land_⌋,* then how will you do in the thickets of the Jordan?

²¹ And their noble will be from them, and their ruler will come out from their midst. And I will bring him near and he will approach me. For who is he that would pledge his heart to approach me?' _⌊declares_⌋* Yahweh.

For who is like me, and who can summon me, and who is this shepherd who can stand _⌊before me_⌋?* ⁴⁵ _⌊Therefore_⌋* hear the plan of Yahweh that he has planned against Babylon, and his plans that he has planned against the land of the Chaldeans. _⌊Surely_⌋* they will drag them away, the little ones of the flock. _⌊Surely_⌋* he will cause their grazing place to be desolate over them. ⁴⁶ At the sound, 'Babylon has been captured,' the earth will quake, and a cry for help among the nations will be heard."

⁶ His indignation—who can stand before it? Who can endure _⌊his fierce anger_⌋?* His wrath is poured out like fire; rocks are shattered before* him.

³ Listen to the wailing of the shepherds, for their splendor is ruined! Listen to the roar of the young lions, for the thickets of the Jordan are ruined!

¹⁷ because the great day of their wrath has come, and who is able to stand?"
