¹² And the man* replied,* "The woman whom you gave to be with me—she gave to me from the tree and I ate."

²² And Yahweh God fashioned the rib which he had taken from the man* into a woman and brought her to the man.*

²¹ And Moses said to Aaron, "What did this people do to you that you brought on them such a great sin?" ²² And Aaron said, "_⌊Let not my lord become angry_⌋.* You yourself know the people, that _⌊they are intent on evil_⌋.* ²³ And they said to me, 'Make for us gods who will go before us, because this Moses, the man who brought us up from the land of Egypt, we do not know what has become of him.' ²⁴ And I said to them, 'Whoever has gold, take it off.' ²⁰ Then Saul said to Samuel, "I have listened to the voice of Yahweh, and I have gone on the way that Yahweh sent me! I brought Agag the king of Amalek, and the Amalekites I have utterly destroyed. ²¹ The troops took from the plunder, sheep and cattle, the best of the things devoted to destruction, to sacrifice to Yahweh your God at Gilgal." ²² Then Samuel said,
"Is there as much delight for Yahweh in burnt offerings and sacrifices as there is in _⌊obeying_⌋* Yahweh? Look! _⌊To obey_⌋* is better than sacrifice; to give heed than the fat of rams. ²³ For rebellion is like the sin of divination; arrogance is like iniquity and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of Yahweh, he has rejected you from being king!" ²⁴ Then Saul said to Samuel, "I have sinned because I have transgressed _⌊the commandment of Yahweh_⌋* and your words, for I feared the troops and I listened to their voice.

³³ _⌊Have I concealed_⌋* my transgressions as other human beings to hide my iniquity in my bosom

³ As for the folly of humankind, its way leads to ruin, and against Yahweh his heart* will rage.

¹³ He who conceals his transgression will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes will obtain mercy.

²⁹ But he, wanting to justify himself, said to Jesus, "And who is my neighbor?"

³ For ignoring the righteousness of God, and seeking to establish their own,* they did not subject themselves to the righteousness of God.

¹³ No one who is being tempted should say, "I am being tempted by God," for God _⌊cannot be tempted_⌋* by evil, and he himself tempts no one. ¹⁴ But each one is tempted when he* is dragged away and enticed by his own desires. ¹⁵ Then desire, after it* has conceived, gives birth to sin, and sin, when it* is brought to completion, gives birth to death.
