¹³ And I heard a certain holy one speaking, and a certain other holy one said to the specific one _⌊who was speaking_⌋,* "_⌊For how long_⌋* is the vision concerning the regular burnt offering, and the transgression that makes desolate, and the giving over of the sanctuary and the host to trampling?"

² Then* he said,
"Yahweh came from Sinai, and he dawned upon them from Seir; he shone forth from Mount Paran, and he came with myriads of holy ones, at his right hand a fiery law for them.*

¹⁸ But the angel of Yahweh said to him, "Why do you ask my name? It is too wonderful."

⁹ We do not see our signs, and there is no longer a prophet. No one with us knows how long.

⁵ How long, O Yahweh? Will you be angry forever? Will your jealousy burn like fire?

¹¹ Then I said, "Until when, Lord?"
And he said,
"Until the cities lie wasted without inhabitant, and houses without people, and the land is ruined and a waste,

⁶ For a child has been born for us; a son has been given to us. And the dominion will be on his shoulder, and his name is called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

¹⁸ _⌊Your holy people_⌋* took possession for a little while; our adversaries have trampled down your sanctuary.

¹³ " 'I was looking in the vision of my head as I lay on my bed, and look, a watcher,* and a holy one, came down from heaven.

²³ And inasmuch that the king saw the watcher, a holy one coming down from heaven* and he said, "Cut down the tree and destroy it, but the stump of its root in the earth leave with a band of iron and bronze in the grass of the field, and let it be watered with the dew of heaven and let his lot be with the animals of the field _⌊until seven times have passed over him_⌋."*

¹⁶ So I approached one of the attendants and I asked him* about the truth concerning all this; and he told me* that he would make known to me the explanation of the matter.

²³ "And he said, 'The fourth beast is the fourth kingdom that will be on the earth that will be different from all the other kingdoms, and it will devour the whole earth and it will trample it and it will crush it.

¹¹ Even against the prince of the hosts it acted arrogantly and took away from him the regular burnt offering, and the place of his sanctuary was overthrown. ¹² And on account of transgression, the host was given over to the horn in addition to the regular burnt offering. And it cast down truth to the ground, and it _⌊acted_⌋,* and it had success.

²⁷ And he will make a strong covenant with the many for one week, but in half of the week he will let cease sacrifice and offering _⌊and in its place_⌋* a desolating abomination comes even until _⌊the determined complete destruction_⌋* is poured out on the desolator."

³¹ And military forces from him _⌊will occupy_⌋* and will profane* the _⌊sanctuary stronghold_⌋,* and they will abolish the regular burnt offering, and they will set up the abomination that causes desolation.

⁵ Then I looked, I myself, Daniel, and look, there were two others standing: _⌊one on this bank of the stream and one on the other_⌋.* ⁶ Then he said to the man who was clothed in linen who was above* the water of the stream,* "_⌊How long until_⌋* the end of the wonders?"

¹¹ And from the time the regular burnt offering is removed and the abomination that causes desolation _⌊is set up_⌋* there will be one thousand two hundred and ninety days.

⁹ And I asked, "What are these, my lord?" And the angel who was talking with me said, "I will show you what these are." ¹⁰ And the man standing between the myrtle shrubs answered and said, "These are those whom Yahweh has sent to patrol* the earth." ¹¹ And they answered the angel of Yahweh who was standing between the myrtle shrubs, and they said, "We have patrolled* the earth, and look, all the earth _⌊is dwelling in peace_⌋."* ¹² The angel of Yahweh answered and said, "O Yahweh of hosts, _⌊how long_⌋* will you have no compassion on Jerusalem and the cities of Judah, with which you showed fury these seventy years?"*

¹⁹ And I said to the angel who was talking with me, "What are these?" And he said to me, "These are the horns that have scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem."

³ And look, the angel who was talking to me was coming forward, and another angel was coming forward to meet him. ⁴ And he said to him, "Run, say to that young man, 'Jerusalem shall be inhabited _⌊like villages without walls_⌋* because of the multitude of people and animals in its midst.

⁵ And you will flee by the valley of my mountains, because the valley of the mountains will reach to Azal, and you will flee like you fled from the earthquake in the days of King Uzziah of Judah. And Yahweh my God will come, and all the holy ones with him.*

²⁷ All things have been handed over to me by my Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and _⌊anyone to whom_⌋* the Son wants to reveal him.*

¹⁵ "So when you see the abomination of desolation* spoken about by the prophet Daniel standing in the holy place" (let the one who reads understand),

¹⁴ "But when you see the abomination of desolation standing where it should not be" (let the one who reads understand), "then those in Judea must flee to the mountains!

²² All things have been handed over to me by my Father, and no one knows who the Son is except the Father and who the Father is except the Son, and anyone to whom the Son wants to reveal him."*

²⁰ "But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation has come near.

²⁴ and they will fall by the edge of the sword, and will be led captive into all the nations,* and Jerusalem will be trampled down by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.

¹⁸ No one has seen God at any time; the one and only, God, the one who is in the bosom of the Father—that one has made him* known.

¹³ so that your hearts may be established blameless in holiness before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all his saints.*

²⁹ How much worse punishment do you think the person will be considered worthy of who treats with disdain the Son of God and who considers ordinary the blood of the covenant by which he was made holy and who insults the Spirit of grace?

¹² to whom it was revealed that they were serving not themselves but you with reference to the same things which now have been announced to you through those who proclaimed the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven, _⌊things into which_⌋* angels desire to look.

¹⁴ And Enoch, the seventh from Adam, also prophesied about* these people, saying, "Behold, the Lord came with tens of thousands of his holy ones

¹⁰ and they cried out with a loud voice, saying, "_⌊How long_⌋*, holy and true Lord, will you not judge and avenge our blood from those who live on the earth?"

² And leave out the courtyard outside of the temple, and do not measure it, because it has been given to the Gentiles, and they will trample the holy city for forty two months.
