¹ "Now at that time, Michael, the great prince, will arise, _⌊the protector_⌋* over the sons of your people, and it will be a time of distress that has not been since your people _⌊have been_⌋* a nation until that time. And at that time your people will escape, _⌊everyone who is found_⌋* written in the scroll.* ² And many from those sleeping _⌊in the dusty ground_⌋* will awake, some to _⌊everlasting life_⌋* and some to disgrace and _⌊everlasting contempt_⌋.* ³ But the ones having insight will shine like the brightness of the expanse, and the ones providing justice for the many* will be like the stars _⌊forever and ever_⌋.* ⁴ But you, Daniel, keep the words secret and seal the scroll* until the time of the end; many will run back and forth and knowledge will increase." ⁵ Then I looked, I myself, Daniel, and look, there were two others standing: _⌊one on this bank of the stream and one on the other_⌋.* ⁶ Then he said to the man who was clothed in linen who was above* the water of the stream,* "_⌊How long until_⌋* the end of the wonders?" ⁷ And I heard the man who was clothed in linen who was above* the water of the stream,* and he raised his right hand and his left hand to heaven and he swore _⌊by the one who lives forever_⌋* that an appointed time, appointed times, and half an appointed time would pass when the shattering of _⌊the power of the holy people_⌋* _⌊would be completed_⌋;* then all these things will be accomplished. ⁸ Now I myself heard, but I did not understand, and I said, "My lord, what will be the outcome of these things?" ⁹ And he said, "Go, Daniel, for the words are secret and are sealed up until the time of the end. ¹⁰ Many will be purified and will be cleansed and will be refined, but the wicked will act wickedly _⌊and none of the wicked will understand_⌋,* but _⌊those who have insight_⌋* will understand. ¹¹ And from the time the regular burnt offering is removed and the abomination that causes desolation _⌊is set up_⌋* there will be one thousand two hundred and ninety days. ¹² Happy is the one who is persevering, and attains to the one thousand three hundred and thirty-five days. ¹³ But you, go on to the end and rest, and you will arise for your allotted inheritance at the end of the days."

³² And now if you will forgive their sin—and if not, please blot me from your scroll that you have written." ³³ And Yahweh said to Moses, "Whoever has sinned against me I will blot him from my scroll.

⁸ You have kept count of my wonderings. Put my tears in your bottle; are they not in your book?

²⁸ Let them be blotted out of the book of the living, and let them not be recorded with the righteous.

³ And this shall happen: He who is left in Zion and he who remains in Jerusalem will be called holy, everyone written for life in Jerusalem,

⁷ _⌊His dominion will grow continually, and to peace there will be no end_⌋* on* the throne of David and over* his kingdom, to establish it* and sustain it with justice and righteousness now and forever. The zeal of Yahweh of hosts will do this.

¹¹ And this shall happen on that day:
The Lord will again extend his hand a second time to acquire the remnant of his people that is left, from Assyria, Egypt, Pathros, Cush, Elam, Shinar, Hamath, and the coastlands of the sea, ¹² and he will raise a signal for the nations. And he will gather the outcasts of Israel, and he will gather the scattered ones of Judah together from the four _⌊corners_⌋* of the earth. ¹³ And the jealousy of Ephraim shall depart, and the enemies of Judah shall be cut off. Ephraim shall not be jealous of Judah, and Judah shall not be an enemy of Ephraim. ¹⁴ But they shall _⌊swoop_⌋* upon the Philistine shoulder,* _⌊westward_⌋.* Together they shall plunder the sons of the east. Edom and Moab _⌊will be under their command_⌋,* and the sons of Ammon will be their subjugated people. ¹⁵ And Yahweh will divide* the tongue* of the sea of Egypt,* and he will wave his hand over the river* with his scorching wind; and he will strike it into seven streams, and he will _⌊make it passable by foot_⌋.* ¹⁶ So there shall be a highway from Assyria for the remnant of his people that remains, as there was for Israel _⌊when_⌋* it went up from the land of Egypt.

²⁰ Go, my people, enter into your chambers and shut your doors* behind you; hide for _⌊a very little_⌋* while, until the wrath has passed over. ²¹ For look! Yahweh is about to come out from his place to punish the iniquity of the inhabitants* of the earth against him, and the earth will disclose her blood and will no longer cover her slain.

¹² And this shall happen:
on that day, Yahweh will thresh from the floodwaters of the Euphrates to the wadi* of Egypt, and as for you, you will be gathered one by one, sons of Israel. ¹³ And this shall happen:
on that day, a great trumpet will be blown,
and those who were lost in the land of Assyria will come, and those who were scattered in the land of Egypt,
and they will bow down to Yahweh on the _⌊holy mountain_⌋* at Jerusalem.

⁷ Alas! For that day is great, _⌊there is none like it_⌋.* And it is a time of distress for Jacob, yet from it he will be delivered.

⁹ "And it will be my hand against the prophets who are seeing falseness and who are practicing lying divination. They will not be in the council of my people, and they will not be written down in the record book of the house of Israel, and into* the land of Israel they will not come, and then you will know that I am the Lord Yahweh.

²⁴ And I, Yahweh, I will be for them _⌊as God_⌋,* and my servant David will be a leader in the midst of them. I, Yahweh, I have spoken.

²¹ And speak to them, 'Thus says the Lord Yahweh: "Look! I am taking the _⌊Israelites_⌋* from among _⌊the nations to which they went_⌋,* and I will gather them from _⌊everywhere_⌋,* and I will bring them to their own soil. ²² And I will make them into one nation in the land on the mountains of Israel, and _⌊they will all have one king as their king_⌋,* and they* will not again be two nations and will not again divide into two kingdoms again. ²³ And they will not defile themselves again with their idols and with vile idols and with all of their transgressions, and I will save them from all of their apostasy _⌊by which they sinned_⌋,* and I will cleanse them and they will be for me as a people and I, I will be for them as God. ²⁴ " '"And my servant David will be king over them, and one shepherd will be for all of them, and in my regulations they will go, and my statutes they will observe, and they will do them. ²⁵ And they will dwell on the land that I gave to my servant, to Jacob, _⌊in which your ancestors dwelled_⌋,* and they will dwell on it, they and their children and the children of their children _⌊forever_⌋,* and my servant David will be a leader for them _⌊forever_⌋.* ²⁶ And I will make with them a covenant of peace; _⌊an everlasting covenant_⌋* it will be with them. And I will establish them, and I will cause them to increase, and I will put my sanctuary in the midst of them _⌊forever_⌋.* ²⁷ And my tabernacle will be with them, and I will be for them as God, and they will be to me as a nation. ²⁸ And the nations will know that I, Yahweh, am consecrating Israel when my sanctuary is in the midst of them _⌊forever_⌋." '"*

²⁵ Therefore thus says the Lord Yahweh: "Now I will restore the fortunes of Jacob, and I will have compassion on all of the house of Israel, and I will be jealous* for _⌊my holy name_⌋.* ²⁶ And they will forget their disgrace and all of their infidelity that they displayed against me when they dwelt on their soil _⌊in safety_⌋* _⌊with nobody making them afraid_⌋.* ²⁷ When I restore them from the nations and I gather them from the countries of their enemies, then I will show myself holy through them before the eyes of many nations. ²⁸ And they will know that I am Yahweh their God, because of when I deported them into the nations, and I reassembled them to their soil, and _⌊I will not let any of them remain there any longer_⌋.* ²⁹ And I will not hide my face again from them when I pour out my Spirit over* the house of Israel," _⌊declares_⌋* the Lord Yahweh.

¹² And so he has carried out his words which he spoke against us and against our rulers who ruled us, to bring upon us a great calamity which was not done under all of heaven as it was done in Jerusalem.

²⁵ And you must know and you must understand* that from the time of the going out of the word to restore and build Jerusalem until an anointed* one—a leader—will be _⌊seven weeks and sixty-two weeks_⌋;* it will be restored and will be built with streets and a moat, but _⌊in a time of oppression_⌋.* ²⁶ "And after the sixty and two weeks an anointed one* shall be cut off, and _⌊he shall have nothing_⌋,* and the people of the coming leader will destroy the city and the sanctuary,* and its end will be with the flood and on to the end there shall be war; these desolations are determined.

¹³ But the prince of the kingdom of Persia stood _⌊before me_⌋* for twenty-one days. And look,* Michael, one of the chief princes, came to assist me, and I left him there beside the king of the Persians.

²¹ However, I will tell you _⌊what is inscribed_⌋* in the book of truth, and there is not one who contends with me against these beings _⌊except_⌋* Michael, your prince."

⁴⁵ And then he will pitch the tents of his palace between the sea and _⌊the beautiful holy mountain_⌋,* and he will come to his end, and there is no one* helping him."

⁴ The children of Israel will remain for many days without a king and prince, without sacrifice and stone pillar, ephod and teraphim. ⁵ Afterward the children of Israel will return and seek Yahweh their God and David their king. They will come in fear to Yahweh and to his goodness at the end of days.

¹⁶ And Yahweh roars from Zion; from Jerusalem he utters his voice, and the heavens and the earth shake. But Yahweh is a refuge for his people, and a protection for the children of Israel. ¹⁷ And you will know that I, Yahweh your God, am dwelling in Zion, my holy mountain. And Jerusalem will be a place of holiness, and strangers will pass through it no longer. ¹⁸ And it will happen on that day; the mountains will drip new wine, and the hills will flow with milk, and all the channels of Judah will flow with water. A spring from the house of Yahweh will come forth, and it will water the valley of Acacia Trees.* ¹⁹ Egypt will become a desolation, and Edom will become a _⌊desolate desert_⌋,* because of the violence they did against the children of Judah, in whose land they have shed innocent blood. ²⁰ But Judah will be inhabited forever, and Jerusalem _⌊for all generations_⌋.* ²¹ _⌊I will cleanse their bloodguilt_⌋* that _⌊I did not cleanse_⌋,* for Yahweh is dwelling in Zion.

¹¹ On that day I will raise up the booth of David that is fallen, and I will repair its breaches and will raise up its ruins and will build it like the days of old. ¹² Thus they may take possession of the remnant of Edom and all the nations _⌊who are called by my name_⌋,"* _⌊declares_⌋* Yahweh, who does this. ¹³ "Look, days are coming," _⌊declares_⌋* Yahweh, "when the one who plows will overtake the one who reaps, the one who treads grapes will catch up with the one who sows the seed. And the mountains will drip sweet wine and all of the hills will flow with it. ¹⁴ And I will restore the fortunes of my people Israel, and they will rebuild the desolated cities and will inhabit them. And they will plant vineyards and will drink their wine, and they will make gardens and will eat their fruit. ¹⁵ And I will plant them on their land and they will not be uprooted again from their land that I have given to them," says Yahweh your God.

¹⁷ But on Mount Zion there will be an escape, and it will be holy, and the house of Jacob will take possession of their dispossessors. ¹⁸ And the house of Jacob will be a fire and the house of Joseph a flame, and the house of Esau stubble; and they will set them on fire and will consume them. And there will not be a survivor for the house of Esau," for Yahweh has spoken. ¹⁹ Those of the Negev will take possession of the mountain of Esau, and those of the Shephelah will possess the land of the Philistines, and they shall take possession of the territory of Ephraim and the territory of Samaria, and Benjamin will take possession of Gilead. ²⁰ And the exiles* of this army of the people of Israel will possess Canaan up to Zarephath, and the exiles* of Jerusalem who are in Sepharad will take possession of the cities of the Negev. ²¹ And those who have been saved will go up on Mount Zion to rule the mountain of Esau. And the kingdom _⌊will belong to_⌋* Yahweh.

³ _⌊And then_⌋* on that day I will make Jerusalem a stone weight* for all the peoples. All those lifting it up will grievously hurt themselves, and all the nations of the earth will assemble against it. ⁴ On that day,' _⌊declares_⌋* Yahweh, 'I will strike every horse with confusion, and the one riding it with madness; but over the house of Judah _⌊I will keep my eyes open_⌋,* and I will strike every horse of the peoples with blindness. ⁵ And the clans of Judah will say _⌊to themselves_⌋,* "The inhabitants of Jerusalem are a strength to us,* through Yahweh of hosts, their God." ⁶ " 'On that day I will make the clans of Judah like a pan of fire among sticks of wood, and like a torch of fire among stalks* of grain, and they will devour to the right and to the left all the surrounding peoples, and Jerusalem will be inhabited again in its place, in Jerusalem. ⁷ And Yahweh will save the tents of Judah first, so that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants* of Jerusalem may not be exalted over Judah. ⁸ On that day Yahweh will put a shield around the inhabitants* of Jerusalem, and the one who stumbles among them on that day will be like David, and the house of David will be like God, like the angel of Yahweh, _⌊before them_⌋.* ⁹ _⌊And then_⌋* on that day I will seek to destroy all the nations coming against Jerusalem. ¹⁰ " 'I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants* of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication, and they will look to me whom they pierced, and they shall mourn over him, as one wails over an only child, and they will grieve bitterly over him as one grieves bitterly over a firstborn.

²¹ For at that time there will be great tribulation, such as has not happened from the beginning of the world until now, nor ever will happen.

¹⁹ For in those days there will be tribulation of such a kind as has not happened from the beginning of the creation that God created until now, and never will happen.

²⁰ Nevertheless, do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are inscribed in heaven."

²³ Woe to those _⌊who are pregnant_⌋* and to those who are nursing their babies* in those days! For there will be great distress on the earth and wrath against this people, ²⁴ and they will fall by the edge of the sword, and will be led captive into all the nations,* and Jerusalem will be trampled down by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.

⁵ So in this way also at the present time, there is a remnant _⌊selected by grace_⌋*. ⁶ But if by grace, it is no longer by works, for otherwise grace would no longer be grace.

¹⁵ For if their rejection means the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance mean except life from the dead?

²⁶ and so all Israel will be saved, just as it is written,
"The deliverer will come out of Zion; he will turn away ungodliness from Jacob.

²¹ above all rule and authority and power and lordship and every name named, not only in this age but also in the coming one,

³ Yes, I ask also you, true yokefellow, help them, who struggled along with me in the gospel with both Clement and the rest of my fellow workers whose names are in the book of life.

⁹ But Michael the archangel, when he argued with the devil, disputing concerning the body of Moses, did not dare to pronounce a blasphemous judgment, but said, "The Lord rebuke you!"

⁵ and from Jesus Christ the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead and the ruler of the kings of the earth.
To the one who loves us and released us from our sins by his blood

⁵ The one who conquers in this way will be dressed in white clothing, and I will never erase his name from the book of life, and I will declare his name before my Father and before his angels.

⁷ And there was war in heaven; Michael and his angels _⌊fought against_⌋* the dragon, and the dragon and his angels _⌊fought back_⌋*.

⁸ And all those who live on the earth will worship him, _⌊everyone whose name is not written_⌋* from the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who was slaughtered.

¹⁷ And the seventh poured out his bowl on the air, and a loud voice came out of the temple, from the throne, saying, "It is done!" ¹⁸ And there were lightnings and sounds and thunders, and there was a great earthquake, as has not happened from the time humanity has been on the earth—so great in this way was the earthquake. ¹⁹ And the great city was split into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell. And Babylon the great was remembered before God, to give her the cup of the wine of his furious wrath.* ²⁰ And every island fled, and mountains were not found. ²¹ And large hailstones, weighing about a hundred pounds,* came down from the sky upon people, and the people blasphemed God because of the plague of hail, because the plague of it was very great.

¹⁴ These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will conquer them, because he is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those with him are called and chosen and faithful."

¹¹ And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and the one seated on it was called "Faithful" and "True," and with justice* he judges and makes war. ¹² Now his eyes were a flame of fire, and on his head were many royal headbands having a name written that no one except he himself knows. ¹³ And he was dressed in an outer garment dipped in blood, and his name is called the Word of God. ¹⁴ And the armies that are in heaven, dressed in clean, white fine linen, were following him on white horses. ¹⁵ And out of his mouth came a sharp sword, so that with it he could strike the nations. And he will shepherd them with an iron rod,* and he stomps the winepress of the wine of the furious wrath of God, the All-Powerful. ¹⁶ And he has a name written on his outer garment and on his thigh: "King of kings and Lord of lords."

¹² And I saw the dead—the great and the small—standing before the throne, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the book of life, and the dead were judged by what was written in the books, according to their deeds.

¹⁵ And if anyone was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

²⁵ But* I myself* know that my redeemer is alive, and at the last he will stand up upon _⌊the earth_⌋.* ²⁶ And after my skin has been thus destroyed, but* from* my flesh I will see God, ²⁷ whom _⌊I will see for myself_⌋,* and whom my eyes will see and not a stranger.* _⌊My heart faints within me_⌋.*

¹⁹ Your dead shall live; _⌊their corpses_⌋* shall rise. Wake up and sing for joy, dwellers of the dust, for your dew is _⌊celestial dew_⌋,* and the earth will give birth to dead spirits.*

²⁴ "And they shall go out and look at the corpses of the people* _⌊who have rebelled_⌋* against me,
for their worm shall not die, and their fire shall not be quenched, and they shall be an abhorrence to all flesh."

¹¹ But Yahweh is with me like a powerful warrior. _⌊Therefore_⌋* my persecutors will stumble and will not prevail. They will be very ashamed, for they will not achieve success. Their _⌊everlasting insult_⌋* will not be forgotten.

¹ The hand of Yahweh was upon me, and he brought me by the Spirit of Yahweh, and he _⌊let me rest_⌋* in the midst of the valley, and it was full of bones. ² And he led me _⌊all around_⌋* over them, and look, very many on the surface of the valley, and look, very dry. ³ And he said to me, "Son of man,* can these bones live?" And I said, "Lord Yahweh, you know." ⁴ And he said to me, "Prophesy to these bones, and you must say to them, to the dry bones, 'Hear the word of Yahweh!

¹² Therefore prophesy, and you must say to them, 'Thus says the Lord Yahweh: "Look! I am opening your graves, and I will bring you up from your graves, my people, and I will bring you to the land of Israel!

¹⁴ Should I redeem them from _⌊the power_⌋* of Sheol? * Should I deliver them from death? Where are your plagues, O Death? Where is your destruction, O Sheol?* Compassion is hidden from my eyes.

²⁹ But Jesus answered and* said to them, "You are mistaken, because* you do not know the scriptures or the power of God! ³⁰ For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels of God* in heaven. ³¹ Now concerning the resurrection of the dead, have you not read what was spoken to you by God, who said, ³² "I am the God of Abraham and the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob"?* He is not the God of the dead, but of the living!"

⁴⁶ And these will depart into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life."

²⁸ "Do not be astonished at this, because an hour is coming in which all those in the tombs will hear his voice ²⁹ and they will come out—those who have done good things to a resurrection of life, but those who have practiced evil things to a resurrection of judgment.

²³ Jesus said to her, "Your brother will rise again." ²⁴ Martha said to him, "I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day." ²⁵ Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me, even if he dies, will live, ²⁶ and everyone who lives and believes in me will never die _⌊forever_⌋.* Do you believe this?"

¹⁵ having a hope in God which these men also themselves await: that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.

²¹ Or does the potter not have authority over the clay, to make from the same lump a vessel that is for _⌊honorable use_⌋* and one that is for _⌊ordinary use_⌋*?

²⁰ But now Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep. ²¹ For since through a man came death, also through a man came the resurrection of the dead. ²² For just as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive.

⁵¹ Behold, I tell you a mystery: we will not all fall asleep, but we will all be changed, ⁵² in a moment, in the blink of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. ⁵³ For it is necessary for this perishable body to put on incorruptibility, and this mortal body to put on immortality. ⁵⁴ But whenever this perishable body puts on incorruptibility and this mortal body puts on immortality, then the saying that is written will take place:
"Death is swallowed up in victory.

¹⁴ For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, thus also God will bring those who have fallen asleep through Jesus together with him.

¹⁸ But the path of the righteous ones is like the light of dawn, leading and shining until the day _⌊is full_⌋.*

³⁰ The fruit of righteousness is a tree of life, and he who captures souls* is wise.

²² But if they had stood in my council, then they would have proclaimed my words to my people, and they would have caused them to turn from their evil way, and from the evil of their deeds.

³³ And those who have insight _⌊will instruct_⌋* the many, but they will fall by sword and by flame, by captivity and by plunder _⌊for some time_⌋.*

³⁵ And even some of those _⌊who have insight_⌋* will fall* in order for them to be refined by it, and to be purified and cleansed until the time of the end, for the appointed time is still to come.

⁴³ Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father.* The one who has ears, let him hear!

²⁸ And Jesus said to them, "Truly I say to you that in the renewal of the world,* when the Son of Man sits on his glorious throne, you who have followed me—you also will sit on twelve thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

⁴⁵ "Who then is the faithful and wise slave whom the master has put in charge of his household slaves to give them their* food at the right time?

¹⁶ And he will turn many of the sons of Israel to the Lord their God. ¹⁷ And he will go on before him in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the righteous, to prepare for the Lord a people made ready."

³⁶ The one who reaps receives wages and gathers fruit for eternal life, in order that the one who sows and the one who reaps can rejoice together.

³⁵ That one was the lamp which was burning and shining, and you wanted to rejoice for an hour in his light.

¹ Now there were prophets and teachers in Antioch in the church that was there: Barnabas, and Simeon (who was called Niger), and Lucius the Cyrenian, and Manaen (a close friend of Herod the tetrarch), and Saul.

¹⁰ According to the grace of God given to me, like a skilled master builder I laid a foundation, and another is building upon it. But each one must direct his attention to how he is building upon it.

⁴⁰ and heavenly bodies and earthly bodies. But the glory of the heavenly bodies is of one kind, and the glory of the earthly bodies is of another kind. ⁴¹ There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars, for star differs from star in glory. ⁴² Thus also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruptibility.

¹¹ And he himself gave some as apostles and some as prophets and some as evangelists and some as pastors and teachers

¹⁶ holding fast to the word of life, for a source of pride* to me in the day of Christ, that I did not run in vain or labor in vain. ¹⁷ But even if I am being poured out as a drink offering on the sacrifice and service of your faith, I rejoice and rejoice with all of you.

¹⁹ For who is our hope or joy or crown of boasting? Is it not even you, in the presence of our Lord Jesus at his coming? ²⁰ For you are our glory and joy.

¹² For indeed, although you* ought to be teachers _⌊by this time_⌋*, you have need of someone to teach you again the beginning elements of the oracles of God, and _⌊you have need of_⌋* milk, not* solid food.

¹⁹ My brothers, if anyone among you should wander away from the truth and someone turns him back, ²⁰ he should know that the one who turns a sinner back from the error of his way will save that person's* soul from death, and will cover over a great number of sins.

¹⁵ And regard the patience of our Lord as salvation, just as also our dear brother Paul wrote to you, according to the wisdom that was given to him,

²⁰ As for the mystery of the seven stars which you saw in my right hand and the seven gold lampstands—the seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands are the seven churches.

¹⁶ Bind up the testimony; seal the teaching among my disciples.

⁹ They will not injure and they will not destroy on all of my _⌊holy mountain_⌋,* for the earth will be full of the knowledge of Yahweh, as the waters cover the sea.

¹⁸ And on that day, the deaf shall hear the words of a scroll, and the eyes of the blind shall see out of gloom and darkness. ¹⁹ And the meek _⌊have joy after joy_⌋* in Yahweh, and the needy of the people shall rejoice in the holy one of Israel.

²⁶ And the light of the full moon will be like the light of the sun, and the light of the sun will be sevenfold, like the light of seven days, on the day when Yahweh binds up the breakage of his people, and he heals the wound of his blow.

³ And the eyes of those who see will not gaze,* and the ears of those who hear will listen.

¹⁷ And he came beside _⌊where I was standing_⌋,* and _⌊when he came_⌋* I became terrified and I fell prostrate on my face. And he said to me, "Understand, son of man,* that the vision is for the time of the end."

²⁶ And the vision of the evening and the morning that has been _⌊described_⌋,* it is true; and you, seal up the vision, for _⌊it refers to many days to come_⌋."*

¹ In the third year of Cyrus the king of the Persians, a word* was revealed to Daniel, who was called by his name Belteshazzar, and the word* was reliable and it concerned a great tribulation,* and he understood the word* and _⌊he received understanding_⌋.*

⁴⁰ "And at the time of the end the king of the south will attack him, and the king of the north will storm against him with chariots* and with horsemen and with many ships, and he will advance against the countries and _⌊he will sweep through like a flood_⌋.*

⁹ And he said, "Go, Daniel, for the words are secret and are sealed up until the time of the end.

¹³ But you, go on to the end and rest, and you will arise for your allotted inheritance at the end of the days."

⁶ _⌊And then_⌋* on that day there will not be light,* the precious things will congeal.* ⁷ There shall be continuous day—it is known to Yahweh—not day and not night; and at evening time there will be light. ⁸ _⌊And then_⌋* on that day, living waters will flow out from Jerusalem, half of them to the eastern sea,* and the other half to the western sea;* it will happen both in the summer and in the winter. ⁹ And Yahweh will be king over all the earth; on that day Yahweh will be one and his name one. ¹⁰ All the land will be transformed into a desert plateau* from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem. But it* will rise up high and it will stay* in its place from the Gate of Benjamin to the place of the former gate, up to the Corner Gate and from the Tower of Hananel to the king's winepresses.

¹⁴ And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed in the whole inhabited earth for a testimony to all the nations,* and then the end will come.

¹⁸ But I say, they have not heard, have they?* On the contrary,
"Their voice has gone out to all the earth, and their words to the ends of the inhabited world."*

⁴ And when the seven thunders spoke,* I was about to write, and I heard a voice from heaven saying, "Seal up the things which the seven thunders spoke, and do not write them!"

⁶ And I saw another angel flying _⌊directly overhead_⌋*, having an eternal gospel to proclaim to those who reside on the earth, and to every nation and tribe and language and people, ⁷ saying with a loud voice, "Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of his judgment has come, and worship the one who made the heaven and the earth and the sea and the springs of water!"

¹⁰ And he said to me, "Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is near!

⁴ And then on the twenty-fourth day of the first month, I myself* was on the bank of the great river; that is, the Tigris. ⁵ And I lifted up my eyes and I saw,* and there was a man, and he was dressed in linen, and his waist was girded with the gold of Uphaz. ⁶ Now his body was like turquoise,* and his face was like the appearance of lightning, and his eyes were like torches of fire, and his arms and his legs were like the gleam of polished bronze, and the sound of his words was like the sound of a multitude.

¹⁰ And look, a hand touched me and it roused me to my knees* and the palms* of my hands.

¹⁶ Then look, there was _⌊one in the form of a human_⌋;* he touched my lips and I opened my mouth and I spoke and I said to the one standing _⌊before me_⌋,* "My lord, because of the vision my anxieties fell upon me and I have not retained my strength.

⁹ We do not see our signs, and there is no longer a prophet. No one with us knows how long.

² And look! Six men coming from the way of _⌊the upper gate_⌋* that faced _⌊northward_⌋,* and each with his weapon for* shattering in his hand; and one man was in the midst of them, dressed in linen, and the* writing case of the scribe was at his side. And they came and stood beside the bronze altar.

¹³ And I heard a certain holy one speaking, and a certain other holy one said to the specific one _⌊who was speaking_⌋,* "_⌊For how long_⌋* is the vision concerning the regular burnt offering, and the transgression that makes desolate, and the giving over of the sanctuary and the host to trampling?"

¹⁶ And I heard the voice of a human at the Ulai, and he called and said, "Gabriel, make this man understand the vision."

¹² The angel of Yahweh answered and said, "O Yahweh of hosts, _⌊how long_⌋* will you have no compassion on Jerusalem and the cities of Judah, with which you showed fury these seventy years?"* ¹³ With gracious* and comforting words Yahweh answered the angel who was talking with me.

¹⁰ in order that the many-sided wisdom of God might be made known now to the rulers and the authorities in the heavenly places through the church,

¹² to whom it was revealed that they were serving not themselves but you with reference to the same things which now have been announced to you through those who proclaimed the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven, _⌊things into which_⌋* angels desire to look.

¹⁰ and they cried out with a loud voice, saying, "_⌊How long_⌋*, holy and true Lord, will you not judge and avenge our blood from those who live on the earth?"

² and holding in his hand a little scroll that was opened. And he put his right foot on the sea and his* left on the land. ³ And he cried out with a loud voice like a lion roars, and when he cried out, the seven thunders sounded* their own voices. ⁴ And when the seven thunders spoke,* I was about to write, and I heard a voice from heaven saying, "Seal up the things which the seven thunders spoke, and do not write them!" ⁵ And the angel whom I saw standing on the sea and on the land raised his right hand to heaven

⁶ and the seven angels who had the seven plagues came out from the temple, dressed in clean, bright linen garments, and girded with golden belts around their* chests.

¹⁴ And the armies that are in heaven, dressed in clean, white fine linen, were following him on white horses.

⁶ For you are a holy people for Yahweh your God; Yahweh your God has chosen you to be for him a people, a treasured possession from among all the peoples that are on the face* of the earth.

¹⁹ _⌊and that he then will set you_⌋* high above all the nations that he has made for his praise and _⌊for fame_⌋* and for honor and _⌊for you to be a holy people_⌋* to Yahweh your God, as he _⌊promised_⌋."*

⁴⁰ For indeed I lift up my hand to heaven, And I promise _⌊as I live forever_⌋,*

² "_⌊As God lives_⌋,* he has removed my justice, and Shaddai has made my inner self* bitter.

¹² And they shall call them "The _⌊Holy People_⌋,* The Redeemed Of Yahweh," and _⌊you_⌋* shall be called "Sought After, A City Is Not Forsaken."

² and you swear, '_⌊As Yahweh lives_⌋,'* in truth, in justice, and in righteousness, then nations will be blessed by him, and in him they will boast."

³⁴ "But at the end of _⌊that period_⌋,* I, Nebuchadnezzar, lifted up my eyes to heaven, and then my reason returned to me; and I blessed the Most High and _⌊the one who lives forever_⌋* I praised and I honored.
"For his sovereignty is an everlasting sovereignty, and his kingdom continues from generation to generation.

²⁵ And he will speak words against the Most High, and he will wear out the holy ones* of the Most High, and he will attempt to change times and law, and they will be given into his hand for a time and two times and half a time.

¹⁴ And he said to me, "For two thousand three hundred evenings and mornings, then the sanctuary will be restored."

²⁴ And his power will grow, but not by his own power, and he will cause fearful destruction, and he will succeed and _⌊he will act_⌋,* and he will destroy the mighty and the people of the holy ones.*

¹³ And the king of the north will again raise a multitude, greater than the former, and _⌊at the end of some years_⌋* he will surely come with a great army and with great supplies.*

⁶ Then he said to the man who was clothed in linen who was above* the water of the stream,* "_⌊How long until_⌋* the end of the wonders?"

¹¹ And from the time the regular burnt offering is removed and the abomination that causes desolation _⌊is set up_⌋* there will be one thousand two hundred and ninety days. ¹² Happy is the one who is persevering, and attains to the one thousand three hundred and thirty-five days.

¹⁴ _⌊Therefore make up your minds_⌋* not to prepare in advance to speak in your own defense,

²⁴ and they will fall by the edge of the sword, and will be led captive into all the nations,* and Jerusalem will be trampled down by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.

⁹ But you are a chosen race,* a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God's possession, so that you may proclaim the virtues of the one who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light,

⁵ And the angel whom I saw standing on the sea and on the land raised his right hand to heaven ⁶ and swore by the one who lives _⌊forever and ever_⌋*, who created heaven and the things in it, and the earth and the things in it, and the sea and the things in it, "There will be no more delay! ⁷ But in the days of the sound of the seventh angel, whenever he is about to blow the trumpet, then* the mystery of God is completed, as he announced to his own slaves the prophets."

² And leave out the courtyard outside of the temple, and do not measure it, because it has been given to the Gentiles, and they will trample the holy city for forty two months. ³ And I will grant authority* to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for one thousand two hundred sixty days, dressed in sackcloth."

⁷ And when they have completed their testimony, the beast that comes up from the abyss will make war with them and will conquer them and will kill them. ⁸ And their dead bodies will lie in the street of the great city which is called symbolically Sodom and Egypt, where also their Lord was crucified. ⁹ And those from peoples and tribes and languages and nations will see their dead bodies three and a half days, and they will not allow their dead bodies to be placed in a tomb. ¹⁰ And those who live on the earth will rejoice over them, and will celebrate and will send gifts to one another, because these two prophets tormented those who live on the earth. ¹¹ And after the three and a half days, the breath of life from God entered into them, and they stood on their feet, and great fear fell on those who saw them. ¹² And they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, "Come up here," and they went up into heaven in a cloud, and their enemies watched them. ¹³ And at that hour a great earthquake took place, and a tenth of the city collapsed, and seven thousand _⌊people_⌋* were killed by the earthquake, and the rest became terrified and gave glory to the God of heaven. ¹⁴ The second woe has passed. Behold, the third woe is coming quickly! ¹⁵ And the seventh angel blew the trumpet, and there was a loud voice in heaven saying,
"The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he will reign _⌊forever and ever_⌋*."

⁶ And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she had a place prepared there by God, so that they could feed her there for one thousand two hundred sixty days.

¹⁴ And the two wings of a great eagle were given to the woman, in order that she could fly into the wilderness, to her place where she is fed there for a time, and times, and half a time, from the presence of the serpent.

⁵ And a mouth was given to him speaking great things and blasphemies, and authority to act was given to him for forty-two months.

¹⁴ And I have come* to instruct you about what* will happen to your people _⌊in the future_⌋,* for there is a further vision here _⌊for the future_⌋.*

³⁴ And they understood none of these things, and this saying was concealed from them, and they did not comprehend the things that were said.

¹⁶ (His disciples did not understand these things at first, but when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things had been written about him and they did these things to him.)

⁷ But he said to them, "It is not for you to know the times or seasons that the Father has set by his own authority.

¹¹ investigating for what person or which time the Spirit of Christ in them was indicating when he* testified beforehand to the sufferings with reference to Christ and the glories after these things,

¹¹ And the vision of all this has become for you like the words of a sealed document. When they give it to one who knows the* document, saying, "_⌊Read_⌋* this now!" He says, "I am not able, for it is sealed."

⁴ But you, Daniel, keep the words secret and seal the scroll* until the time of the end; many will run back and forth and knowledge will increase."

¹³ Just as the ancient proverb says, 'From the wicked, wickedness goes out,' but my hand will not be against you!

⁷ Purify me with hyssop, and I shall be clean. Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

⁴³ Whoever is wise, then let him observe these things, and let them consider Yahweh's acts of loyal love.

⁵ may the wise hear and increase learning, and the one who understands gain direction,*

¹ My child, if you will receive* my sayings, and hide my commands with you, ² in order to incline your ear toward wisdom, then you shall apply your heart to understanding. ³ For if you cry out for understanding,* if you lift* your voice for insight, ⁴ if you seek her like silver and search her out _⌊like treasure_⌋,* ⁵ then you will understand the fear of Yahweh, and the knowledge of God you will find.

¹⁸ "Come now, and let us argue," says Yahweh. "Even though your sins are like scarlet, they will be white like snow; even though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool.

⁶ For a fool speaks folly, and his _⌊mind_⌋* does iniquity: to _⌊behave wickedly_⌋,* and to speak error concerning Yahweh, to leave the throat of the hungry empty, and he deprives the thirsty of drink. ⁷ And a scoundrel, his weapons are evil; he plans evil devices to ruin the poor with words of deception even* when the speech of the needy is right.

²⁵ And I will sprinkle on you pure water, and you will be clean from all of your uncleanness, and I will cleanse you from all of your idols.

¹¹ But its marshes and its swamps will not be cured, for they were given for salt.

³ But the ones having insight will shine like the brightness of the expanse, and the ones providing justice for the many* will be like the stars _⌊forever and ever_⌋.*

⁹ Who is wise that he can understand these things? Who is discerning that he knows them? The ways of Yahweh are right, and the righteous walk in them; but transgressors stumble in them.

⁹ And I will bring the remaining third into the fire, and I will refine them like one refines silver, and I will test them like one tests gold. They* will call my name, and I will answer them.* I will say, 'They* are my people,' and they* will say, 'Yahweh is my God.'"

¹¹ And he said to them, "To you has been granted the secret of the kingdom of God, but to those who are outside everything is in parables,

²⁵ And he said to them, "O foolish and slow in heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken!

¹⁷ If anyone wants to do his will, he will know about my* teaching, whether it is from God or I am speaking from myself.

⁴⁷ The one who is from God listens to the words of God. Because of this you do not listen—because you are not of God."

³⁷ Then Pilate said to him, "So then you are a king!" Jesus replied, "You say that I am a king. For this reason I was born, and for this reason I have come into the world: in order that I can testify to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears my voice."

⁸ just as it is written,
"God gave them a spirit of stupor, eyes that do not see and ears that do not hear, until this very day."* ⁹ And David says,
"Let their table become a snare and a trap, and a cause for stumbling and a retribution to them; ¹⁰ let their eyes be darkened so that they do not see, and cause their backs to bend _⌊continually_⌋*."*

¹⁰ For* to us God has revealed them through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God. ¹¹ For who among men knows the things of a man, except the spirit of the man that is in him? Thus also no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. ¹² Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, in order that we may know the things freely given to us by God, ¹³ things which we also speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in words taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual things to spiritual people.* ¹⁴ But the natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he is not able to understand them, because they are spiritually discerned. ¹⁵ Now the spiritual person discerns all things, but he himself is judged by no one. ¹⁶ "For who has known the mind of the Lord; who has advised him?"* But we have the mind of Christ.

¹¹ And some of you were these things, but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus* and by the Spirit of our God.

¹ Therefore since we* have these promises, dear friends, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilement of body and spirit, accomplishing holiness in the fear of God.

¹⁰ and with every unrighteous deception against those who are perishing, in place of which they did not accept the love of the truth, so that they would be saved. ¹¹ And because of this, God sends them _⌊a powerful delusion_⌋* so that they will believe the lie, ¹² in order that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth, but delighted in unrighteousness.

¹⁴ who gave himself for us, in order that he might redeem us from all lawlessness and purify for himself a people for his own possession, zealous for good deeds.

¹⁰ For they disciplined us for a few days according to what seemed appropriate to them, but he does so for our benefit, in order that we can have a share in his holiness.

⁷ so that the genuineness of your faith, more valuable than gold that is passing away, but is tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ,

²² Having purified your souls by your obedience to the truth for sincere brotherly love, love one another fervently from the heart,*

²⁰ And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, in order that we may know the one who is true, and we are in the one who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. This one is the true God and eternal life.

¹⁸ I advise you to buy from me gold refined by fire, in order that you may become rich, and white clothing, in order that you may be clothed and the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed, and eye salve to smear on your eyes, in order that you may see.

¹³ And one of the elders answered, saying to me, "These who are dressed in the white robes—who are they, and from where have they come?" ¹⁴ And I said to him, "My lord, you know." And he said to me,
"These are the ones who have come out of the great tribulation, and have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

²⁰ And the rest of humanity who were not killed by these plagues did not repent of the works of their hands, _⌊in order not to worship_⌋* the demons and the gold and silver and bronze and stone and wooden idols, which are able neither to see nor to hear nor to walk, ²¹ and they did not repent of their murders or of their magic spells or of their sexual immorality or of their thefts.

¹¹ And they blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pain and because of their sores, and they did not repent of their deeds.

⁸ And it has been granted to her that she be dressed in bright, clean fine linen (for the fine linen is the righteous deeds of the saints).

¹¹ The one who does evil, let him do evil still, and the defiled, let him be defiled still, and the righteous, let him practice righteousness still, and the holy, let him be holy still."

¹² "Please test your servants for ten days, and let them give us _⌊some of the vegetables_⌋,* and let us eat and let us drink water.

¹¹ Even against the prince of the hosts it acted arrogantly and took away from him the regular burnt offering, and the place of his sanctuary was overthrown. ¹² And on account of transgression, the host was given over to the horn in addition to the regular burnt offering. And it cast down truth to the ground, and it _⌊acted_⌋,* and it had success. ¹³ And I heard a certain holy one speaking, and a certain other holy one said to the specific one _⌊who was speaking_⌋,* "_⌊For how long_⌋* is the vision concerning the regular burnt offering, and the transgression that makes desolate, and the giving over of the sanctuary and the host to trampling?" ¹⁴ And he said to me, "For two thousand three hundred evenings and mornings, then the sanctuary will be restored."

²⁷ And he will make a strong covenant with the many for one week, but in half of the week he will let cease sacrifice and offering _⌊and in its place_⌋* a desolating abomination comes even until _⌊the determined complete destruction_⌋* is poured out on the desolator."

³¹ And military forces from him _⌊will occupy_⌋* and will profane* the _⌊sanctuary stronghold_⌋,* and they will abolish the regular burnt offering, and they will set up the abomination that causes desolation.

¹⁵ "So when you see the abomination of desolation* spoken about by the prophet Daniel standing in the holy place" (let the one who reads understand),

¹⁴ "But when you see the abomination of desolation standing where it should not be" (let the one who reads understand), "then those in Judea must flee to the mountains!

¹⁸ Therefore Yahweh waits to be gracious to you, and therefore he will rise up to show you mercy, for Yahweh is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for him.

⁴ And I saw thrones, and they sat down on them, and authority to judge was granted to them. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of the testimony about Jesus and because of the word of God, and who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and did not receive the mark on their* forehead and on their hand, and they came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.

⁵ Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous;

⁵ Yahweh is the portion which is my share and my cup. You hold my lot.

¹ The righteous one perishes, and there is no one who takes* it to heart. And men of faithfulness are gathered, while there is no one who understands, for the righteous is gathered from the presence of wickedness. ² he enters into peace; they will rest on their beds, walking straight ahead of him.

⁷ "Thus says Yahweh of hosts: 'If you will walk in my ways, and if you will keep my requirements, then you will judge* my house, and you will also guard my courtyards, and I will give to you passageways* among these that are standing here.

²⁹ "Now dismiss your slave in peace, Lord, according to your word. ³⁰ For my eyes have seen your salvation

³⁶ But be alert at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to happen, and to stand before the Son of Man."

¹ For we know that if our earthly house, the tent, is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made by hands, eternal in the heavens.

⁷ and to you who are being afflicted, rest with us at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with his powerful angels,

⁷ I have fought the good fight, I have completed the race, I have kept the faith. ⁸ Finally, the crown of righteousness is reserved for me, that the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to me, but also to all who have loved his appearing.

¹⁴ And Enoch, the seventh from Adam, also prophesied about* these people, saying, "Behold, the Lord came with tens of thousands of his holy ones ¹⁵ to execute judgment against all, and to convict all the ungodly* concerning all their ungodly deeds that they have committed in an ungodly way, and concerning all the harsh things that ungodly sinners have spoken against him.

¹³ And I heard a voice from heaven saying, "Write:
'Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on!'"
"Yes," says the Spirit, "in order that they may rest from their labors, for their deeds follow after them."
