⁸ This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that you affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.

²⁴ Truthfully, truthfully, I say unto you, He that hears my word, and believes on him that sent me, has everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

⁴⁴ Jesus cried and said, He that believes on me, believes not on me, but on him that sent me.

¹⁵ And they said unto her, You are mad. But she constantly affirmed that it was even so. Then said they, It is his angel.

⁵ But to him that works not, but believes on him that justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

¹³ We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;

¹² For the administration of this service not only supplies the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God; ¹³ Whiles by the experiment of this ministration they glorify God for your professed subjection unto the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal distribution unto them, and unto all men; ¹⁴ And by their prayer for you, which long after you for the exceedingly grace of God in you. ¹⁵ Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.

¹⁵ This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

⁹ Holding fast the faithful word as he has been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the opponents.

¹⁴ Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

¹ Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work,

¹⁴ And let our's also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, that they be not unfruitful.

¹¹ Which in time past was to you unprofitable, but now profitable to you and to me:

²¹ Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.

¹⁰ He that believes on the Son of God has the witness in himself: he that believes not God has made him a liar; because he believes not the record that God gave of his Son. ¹¹ And this is the record, that God has given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. ¹² He that has the Son has life; and he that has not the Son of God has not life. ¹³ These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may believe on the name of the Son of God.
