² God has not cast away his people which he foreknew. Don't you know what the scripture says of Elijah? how he makes intercession to God against Israel saying,

¹ And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from the Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,

¹ When therefore the LORD knew how the Pharisees had heard that Jesus made and baptized more disciples than John, ² (Though Jesus himself baptized not, but his disciples,) ³ He left Judaea, and departed again into Galilee.

¹¹ The woman says unto him, Sir, you have nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from where then have you that living water?

¹⁷ And now, brothers, I know that through ignorance you did it, as did also your rulers.

⁴⁰ Saying unto Aaron, Make us gods to go before us: for as for this Moses, which brought us out of the land of Egypt, we know not what is become of him.

⁴⁸ And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed.

¹⁸ Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world.

²⁹ For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. ³⁰ Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

⁶ Not as though the word of God has taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel:

²³ And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had previously prepared unto glory,

² Do you not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters?

²² But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labor: yet what I shall choose I know not.

¹ God, who at various times and in different manners spoke in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, ² Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.
