¹ And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him:

¹⁸ And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brothers, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers. ¹⁹ And he says unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. ²⁰ And they directly left their nets, and followed him. ²¹ And going on from there, he saw other two brothers, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in a boat with Zebedee their father, mending their nets; and he called them. ²² And they immediately left the boat and their father, and followed him.

²⁵ And there followed him great multitudes of people from Galilee, and from Decapolis, and from Jerusalem, and from Judaea, and from beyond the Jordan.

² Now the names of the twelve apostles are these; The first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother; ³ Philip, and Bartholomew; Thomas, and Matthew the publican; James the son of Alphaeus, and Lebbaeus, whose surname was Thaddaeus; ⁴ Simon the Canaanite, and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him.

² And great multitudes were gathered together unto him, so that he went into a boat, and sat; and the whole multitude stood on the shore.

²⁹ And Jesus departed from there, and came close unto the sea of Galilee; and went up into a mountain, and sat down there.

¹³ And he goes up into a mountain, and calls unto him those whom he desired: and they came unto him.

²⁰ And the multitude comes together again, so that they could not so much as eat bread.

¹ And he began again to teach by the seaside: and there was gathered unto him a great multitude, so that he entered into a boat, and sat in the sea; and the whole multitude was by the sea on the land.

¹³ And when it was day, he called unto him his disciples: and of them he chose twelve, whom also he named apostles; ¹⁴ Simon, (whom he also named Peter,) and Andrew his brother, James and John, Philip and Bartholomew, ¹⁵ Matthew and Thomas, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon called Zelotes, ¹⁶ And Judas the brother of James, and Judas Iscariot, which also was the traitor.

² And a great multitude followed him, because they saw his miracles which he did on them that were diseased. ³ And Jesus went up into a mountain, and there he sat with his disciples.
