¹¹ And such were some of you: but you are washed, but you are sanctified, but you are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

¹⁴ I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalts himself shall be abased; and he that humbles himself shall be exalted.

¹⁰ Jesus says to him, He that is washed needs not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit: and you are clean, but not all.

³⁹ And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses.

¹⁶ And now why do you tarry? arise, and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord.

¹⁸ To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith that is in me.

²⁴ Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

²⁶ To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believes in Jesus. ²⁷ Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? No: but by the law of faith. ²⁸ Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith outside the deeds of the law. ²⁹ Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also: ³⁰ Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.

⁵ But to him that works not, but believes on him that justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

¹ Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

⁹ Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

¹⁷ But God be thanked, that you were the servants of sin, but you have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. ¹⁸ Being then made free from sin, you became the servants of righteousness. ¹⁹ I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as you have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.

³⁰ Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

³³ Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifies.

² Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both their's and our's:

³⁰ But of him are you in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

² You know that you were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, just as you were led.

¹⁶ Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

⁸ And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In you shall all nations be blessed.

¹¹ But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.

²⁴ Therefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

²² But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, ²³ Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

¹ And you has he given life, who were dead in trespasses and sins; ² Wherein in time past you walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now works in the children of disobedience: ³ Among whom also we all had our conduct in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, just as others.

¹⁷ This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you now on walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, ¹⁸ Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart: ¹⁹ Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness. ²⁰ But you have not so learned Christ; ²¹ If so be that you have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus: ²² That you put off concerning the former conduct the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;

⁸ For you were sometimes darkness, but now are you light in the Lord: walk as children of light:

²⁶ That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,

⁵ Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil sexual desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry: ⁶ For which things' sake the wrath of God comes on the children of disobedience: ⁷ In which you also walked some time, when you lived in them.

¹³ But we are bound to give thanks always to God for you, brothers beloved of the Lord, because God has from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:

³ For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving different lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. ⁴ But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, ⁵ Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; ⁶ Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; ⁷ That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

¹¹ For both he that sanctifies and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brothers,

²² Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

²¹ Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? ²² See you how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? ²³ And the scripture was fulfilled which says, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. ²⁴ You see then that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. ²⁵ Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way? ²⁶ For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

² Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.

²² Seeing you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brothers, see that you love one another with a pure heart fervently:

²¹ The like figure whereunto even baptism does also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:

² That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God. ³ For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries:

⁵ And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,

¹⁴ And I said unto him, Sir, you know. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
