Psalms 37:35 Cross References - KJ2000

35 I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a green bay tree.

Esther 5:11

11 And Haman told them of the glory of his riches, and the multitude of his children, and all the things in which the king had promoted him, and how he had advanced him above the princes and servants of the king.

Job 5:3

3 I have seen the foolish taking root: but suddenly I cursed his habitation.

Job 8:13-19

13 So are the paths of all that forget God; and the hypocrite’s hope shall perish: 14 Whose confidence shall be cut off, and whose trust shall be a spider’s web. 15 He shall lean upon his house, but it shall not stand: he shall hold it fast, but it shall not endure. 16 He grows green in the sun, and his branch shoots forth in his garden. 17 His roots are wrapped about the stone heap, and looks for a place in the stones. 18 If he is destroyed from his place, then it will deny him, saying, I have not seen you. 19 Behold, this is the joy of his way, and out of the earth shall others grow.

Job 21:7-17

7 Why do the wicked live, become old, yea, are mighty in power? 8 Their descendants are established in their sight with them, and their offspring before their eyes. 9 Their houses are safe from fear, neither is the rod of God upon them. 10 Their bull breeds, and fails not; their cow calves, and casts not her calf. 11 They send forth their little ones like a flock, and their children dance. 12 They sing to the tambourine and harp, and rejoice at the sound of the flute. 13 They spend their days in wealth, and in a moment go down to the grave. 14 Therefore they say unto God, Depart from us; for we desire not the knowledge of your ways. 15 What is the Almighty, that we should serve him? and what profit should we have, if we pray unto him? 16 Lo, their prosperity is not in their hand: the counsel of the wicked is far from me. 17 How often is the lamp of the wicked put out! and how often comes their destruction upon them! God distributes sorrows in his anger.

Psalms 73:3-11

3 For I was envious at the foolish, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked. 4 For there are no pains in their death: but their strength is firm. 5 They are not in trouble as other men; neither are they plagued like other men. 6 Therefore pride surrounds them as a chain; violence covers them as a garment. 7 Their eyes stand out with abundance: they have more than heart could wish. 8 They are corrupt, and speak wickedly concerning oppression: they speak loftily. 9 They set their mouth against the heavens, and their tongue walks through the earth. 10 Therefore his people return here: and waters of a full cup are wrung out to them. 11 And they say, How does God know? and is there knowledge in the most High?

Isaiah 14:14-19

14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. 15 Yet you shall be brought down to sheol, to the sides of the pit. 16 They that see you shall gaze upon you, and consider you, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms; 17 That made the world like a wilderness, and destroyed its cities; that opened not the house of his prisoners? 18 All the kings of the nations, even all of them, lie in glory, everyone in his own tomb. 19 But you are cast out of your sepulcher like an abominable branch, and as the garment of those that are slain, thrust through with a sword, that go down to the stones of the pit; as a corpse trodden underfoot.

Ezekiel 31:6-10

6 All the fowls of heaven made their nests in its boughs, and under its branches did all the beasts of the field bring forth their young, and under its shadow dwelt all great nations. 7 Thus was it beautiful in its greatness, in the length of its branches: for its root reached to great waters. 8 The cedars in the garden of God could not hide it: the fir trees were not like its boughs, and the chestnut trees were not like its branches; nor any tree in the garden of God was like unto it in its beauty. 9 I have made it beautiful by the multitude of its branches: so that all the trees of Eden, that were in the garden of God, envied it. 10 Therefore thus says the Lord GOD; Because you have lifted up yourself in height, and it has shot up its top among the thick boughs, and its heart is lifted up in its height;

Ezekiel 31:18

18 To whom are you thus like in glory and in greatness among the trees of Eden? yet shall you be brought down with the trees of Eden unto the lower parts of the earth: you shall lie in the midst of the uncircumcised with them that are slain by the sword. This is Pharaoh and all his multitude, says the Lord GOD.

Daniel 4:20-33

20 The tree that you saw, which grew, and was strong, whose height reached unto the heaven, and its sight to all the earth; 21 Whose leaves were fair, and its fruit much, and in it was food for all; under which the beasts of the field dwelt, and upon whose branches the fowls of the heaven had their habitation: 22 It is you, O king, that have grown and become strong: for your greatness has grown, and reached unto heaven, and your dominion to the end of the earth. 23 And since the king saw a watcher and a holy one coming down from heaven, and saying, Hew the tree down, and destroy it; yet leave the stump of its roots in the earth, even with a band of iron and bronze, in the tender grass of the field; and let it be wet with the dew of heaven, and let his portion be with the beasts of the field, till seven times pass over him; 24 This is the interpretation, O king, and this is the decree of the most High, which has come upon my lord the king: 25 That they shall drive you from men, and your dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field, and they shall make you eat grass like oxen, and they shall wet you with the dew of heaven, and seven times shall pass over you, till you know that the most High rules in the kingdom of men, and gives it to whomever he will. 26 And since they commanded to leave the stump of the tree roots; your kingdom shall be sure unto you, after you shall have known that the heavens do rule. 27 Therefore, O king, let my counsel be acceptable unto you, and break off your sins by practicing righteousness, and your iniquities by showing mercy to the poor; if it may be a lengthening of your tranquility. 28 All this came upon the king Nebuchadnezzar. 29 At the end of twelve months he walked in the palace of the kingdom of Babylon. 30 The king spoke, and said, Is not this great Babylon, that I have built for the house of the kingdom by the might of my power, and for the honor of my majesty? 31 While the word was in the king's mouth, there fell a voice from heaven, saying, O king Nebuchadnezzar, to you it is spoken; The kingdom has departed from you. 32 And they shall drive you from men, and your dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field: they shall make you to eat grass like oxen, and seven times shall pass over you, until you know that the most High rules in the kingdom of men, and gives it to whomever he will. 33 The same hour was the thing fulfilled upon Nebuchadnezzar: and he was driven from men, and did eat grass like oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven, till his hair had grown like eagles' feathers, and his nails like birds' claws.
