Is this act of your harlotries a small matter, ²¹ That you have slain my children, and delivered them to cause them to pass through the fire for them? ²² And in all your abominations and your harlotries you have not remembered the days of your youth, when you were naked and bare, and were polluted in your blood.

⁴ Because of the multitude of the harlotries of the seductive harlot, the mistress of sorceries, that sells nations through her harlotries, and peoples through her sorceries. ⁵ Behold, I am against you, says the LORD of hosts; and I will uncover your skirts over your face, and I will show the nations your nakedness, and the kingdoms your shame. ⁶ And I will cast abominable filth upon you, and make you vile, and will make you a spectacle.

³ Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of braiding the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; ⁴ But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.
