⁶ Be anxious for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

⁷ Then Jacob was greatly afraid and distressed: and he divided the people that were with him, and the flocks, and herds, and the camels, into two bands; ⁸ And said, If Esau comes to the one company, and smites it, then the other company which is left shall escape. ⁹ And Jacob said, O God of my father Abraham, and God of my father Isaac, the LORD who said unto me, Return unto your country, and to your kindred, and I will deal well with you: ¹⁰ I am not worthy of the least of all the mercies, and of all the truth, which you have showed unto your servant; for with my staff I passed over this Jordan; and now I have become two bands. ¹¹ Deliver me, I pray you, from the hand of my brother, from the hand of Esau: for I fear him, lest he will come and smite me, and the mother with the children. ¹² And you said, I will surely do you good, and make your descendants as the sand of the sea, which cannot be numbered for multitude.

¹⁵ O Lord, open my lips; and my mouth shall show forth your praise.

¹⁷ Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.

²² Cast your burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain you: he shall never permit the righteous to be moved.

⁸ Trust in him at all times; you people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.

⁵ Trust in the LORD with all your heart; and lean not unto your own understanding. ⁶ In all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct your paths.

⁸ The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD: but the prayer of the upright is his delight.

³ Commit your works unto the LORD, and your thoughts shall be established.

¹⁴ O my dove, in the clefts of the rock, in the secret places of the cliff, let me see your face, let me hear your voice; for sweet is your voice, and your countenance is lovely.

³ Call unto me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you know not.

¹⁶ Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter.

⁸ Be not therefore like them: for your Father knows what things you have need of, before you ask him.

²⁵ Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what you shall eat, or what you shall drink; nor yet for your body, what you shall put on. Is not life more than food, and the body than clothing? ²⁶ Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much better than they? ²⁷ Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? ²⁸ And why take you thought for clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: ²⁹ And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. ³⁰ Therefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? ³¹ Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, How shall we be clothed? ³² (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knows that you have need of all these things. ³³ But seek you first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

⁷ Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: ⁸ For every one that asks receives; and he that seeks finds; and to him that knocks it shall be opened.

¹⁹ But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what you shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what you shall speak.

²² He also that received seed among the thorns is he that hears the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful.

⁴¹ And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things:

²² And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what you shall eat; neither for the body, what you shall put on.

²⁹ And seek you not what you shall eat, or what you shall drink, neither be of anxious mind.

¹ And he spoke a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;

⁷ And shall not God avenge his own elect, who cry day and night unto him, though he bears long with them?

²¹ Are you called being a servant? care not for it: but if you may be made free, use it rather.

³² But I would have you without concern. He that is unmarried cares for the things that belong to the Lord, how he may please the Lord:

¹¹ You also helping together by prayer for us, that for the gift bestowed upon us by the means of many persons, thanks may be given by many on our behalf.

²⁰ Giving thanks always for all things unto God, even the Father, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;

¹⁸ Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thus with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

¹⁵ And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you are called in one body; and be thankful.

¹⁷ And whatsoever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father by him.

² Continue in prayer, and watch in it with thanksgiving;

¹⁷ Pray without ceasing. ¹⁸ In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

⁷ But the end of all things is at hand: be therefore sober minded, and watch unto prayer.

⁷ Casting all your care upon him; for he cares for you.

²⁰ But you, beloved, building up yourselves in your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, ²¹ Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
