¹⁰ Who can count the dust of Jacob, and the number of the fourth part of Israel? Let me die the death of the righteous, and let my last end be like his!

¹⁶ And I will make your descendants as the dust of the earth: so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, then shall your descendants also be numbered.

¹⁷ That in blessing I will bless you, and in multiplying I will multiply your descendants as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the seashore; and your descendants shall possess the gate of their enemies;

¹⁴ And your descendants shall be as the dust of the earth, and you shall spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in you and in your descendants shall all the families of the earth be blessed.

⁹ All that were numbered in the camp of Judah were a hundred and fourscore thousand and six thousand and four hundred, according to their armies. These shall first set forth.

¹⁶ All that were numbered in the camp of Reuben were a hundred and fifty and one thousand and four hundred and fifty, according to their armies. And they shall go forth second.

²⁴ All that were numbered of the camp of Ephraim were a hundred and eight thousand and a hundred, according to their armies. And they shall go forward third.

³¹ All they that were numbered in the camp of Dan were a hundred and fifty and seven thousand and six hundred. They shall go last with their standards.

³⁷ Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace.

¹⁵ Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.

³² The wicked is driven away in his wickedness: but the righteous has hope in his death.

¹ The righteous perishes, and no man lays it to heart: and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil to come. ² He shall enter into peace: they shall rest in their beds, each one walking in his uprightness.

²⁹ Lord, now let your servant depart in peace, according to your word: ³⁰ For my eyes have seen your salvation,

²¹ Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours; ²² Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours;

⁵³ For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. ⁵⁴ So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. ⁵⁵ O death, where is your sting? O grave, where is your victory? ⁵⁶ The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. ⁵⁷ But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

¹ For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

²¹ For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. ²² But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labor: yet what I shall choose I know not. ²³ For I am in a strait between two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better:

⁶ For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. ⁷ I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: ⁸ Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

¹³ Yea, I think it right, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by putting you in remembrance; ¹⁴ Knowing that shortly I must put off this my tabernacle, even as our Lord Jesus Christ has showed me. ¹⁵ Moreover I will endeavor that you may be able after my departure to have these things always in remembrance.

¹³ And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on: Yea, says the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors; and their works do follow them.
