²⁸ And Moses stripped Aaron of his garments, and put them upon Eleazar his son; and Aaron died there on the top of the mountain: and Moses and Eleazar came down from the mount.

²⁹ And the holy garments of Aaron shall be his sons' after him, to be anointed in them, and to be consecrated in them. ³⁰ And that son that is priest in his stead shall put them on seven days, when he comes into the tabernacle of meeting to minister in the holy place.

²⁶ And strip Aaron of his garments, and put them upon Eleazar his son: and Aaron shall be gathered unto his people, and shall die there.

¹⁶ Let the LORD, the God of the spirits of all flesh, set a man over the congregation, ¹⁷ Who may go out before them, and who may go in before them, and who may lead them out, and who may bring them in; that the congregation of the LORD be not as sheep which have no shepherd. ¹⁸ And the LORD said unto Moses, Take you Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom is the spirit, and lay your hand upon him; ¹⁹ And set him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation; and give him a charge in their sight. ²⁰ And you shall put some of your honor upon him, that all the congregation of the children of Israel may be obedient. ²¹ And he shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall ask counsel for him after the judgment of Urim before the LORD: at his word shall they go out, and at his word they shall come in, both he, and all the children of Israel with him, even all the congregation. ²² And Moses did as the LORD commanded him: and he took Joshua, and set him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation: ²³ And he laid his hands upon him, and gave him a charge, as the LORD commanded by the hand of Moses.

⁶ And the children of Israel took their journey from Beeroth Benejaakan to Mosera: there Aaron died, and there he was buried; and Eleazar his son ministered in the priest's office in his stead.

⁷ And Moses called unto Joshua, and said unto him in the sight of all Israel, Be strong and of a good courage: for you must go with this people unto the land which the LORD has sworn unto their fathers to give them; and you shall cause them to inherit it. ⁸ And the LORD, he it is that does go before you; he will be with you, he will not fail you, neither forsake you: fear not, neither be dismayed.

⁴⁹ Get you up into this mountain Abarim, unto mount Nebo, which is in the land of Moab, that is opposite Jericho; and behold the land of Canaan, which I give unto the children of Israel for a possession: ⁵⁰ And die in the mount which you go up, and be gathered unto your people; as Aaron your brother died in mount Hor, and was gathered unto his people:

⁵ So Moses the servant of the LORD died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the LORD.

⁹ And Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom; for Moses had laid his hands upon him: and the children of Israel hearkened unto him, and did as the LORD commanded Moses.

¹¹ Now, my son, the LORD be with you; and prosper you, and build the house of the LORD your God, as he has said of you. ¹² Only the LORD give you wisdom and understanding, and give you charge concerning Israel, that you may keep the law of the LORD your God.

¹⁷ David also commanded all the princes of Israel to help Solomon his son, saying,

⁵ And of all my sons, (for the LORD has given me many sons,) he has chosen Solomon my son to sit upon the throne of the kingdom of the LORD over Israel. ⁶ And he said unto me, Solomon your son, he shall build my house and my courts: for I have chosen him to be my son, and I will be his father. ⁷ Moreover I will establish his kingdom forever, if he is steadfast to keep my commandments and my judgments, as at this day. ⁸ Now therefore in the sight of all Israel the congregation of the LORD, and in the hearing of our God, keep and seek for all the commandments of the LORD your God: that you may possess this good land, and leave it for an inheritance for your children after you forever. ⁹ And you, Solomon my son, know you the God of your father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD searches all hearts, and understands all the imaginations of the thoughts: if you seek him, he will be found of you; but if you forsake him, he will cast you off forever.

²⁵ And now, behold, I know that you all, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom of God, shall see my face no more. ²⁶ Therefore I testify to you this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men. ²⁷ For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God. ²⁸ Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he has purchased with his own blood. ²⁹ For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.

²⁴ But this man, because he continues forever, has an unchangeable priesthood. ²⁵ Therefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever lives to make intercession for them.

¹⁵ Moreover I will endeavor that you may be able after my departure to have these things always in remembrance.
