⁷ Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;

² And he shall bring it to Aaron's sons the priests: and he shall take out a handful of the flour, and of the oil, with all the frankincense; and the priest shall burn it as a memorial upon the altar, to be an offering made by fire, of a sweet aroma unto the LORD:

⁴ And he shall bring the bullock unto the door of the tabernacle of meeting before the LORD; and shall lay his hand upon the bullock's head, and kill the bullock before the LORD. ⁵ And the priest that is anointed shall take of the bullock's blood, and bring it to the tabernacle of meeting: ⁶ And the priest shall dip his finger in the blood, and sprinkle some of the blood seven times before the LORD, before the veil of the sanctuary. ⁷ And the priest shall put some of the blood upon the horns of the altar of sweet incense before the LORD, which is in the tabernacle of meeting; and shall pour the rest of the blood of the bullock at the bottom of the altar of the burnt offering, which is at the door of the tabernacle of meeting. ⁸ And he shall take off from it all the fat of the bullock for the sin offering; the fat that covers the entrails, and all the fat that is upon the entrails, ⁹ And the two kidneys, and the fat that is upon them, which is by the flanks, and the fat above the liver, with the kidneys, it shall he take away, ¹⁰ As it was taken off from the bullock of the sacrifice of peace offerings: and the priest shall burn them upon the altar of the burnt offering. ¹¹ And the skin of the bullock, and all its flesh, with its head, and with its legs, and its entrails, and its dung, ¹² Even the whole bullock shall he carry forth outside the camp unto a clean place, where the ashes are poured out, and burn it on the wood with fire: where the ashes are poured out shall it be burned. ¹³ And if the whole congregation of Israel sins through ignorance, and the thing be hid from the eyes of the assembly, and they have done somewhat against any of the commandments of the LORD concerning things which should not be done, and are guilty; ¹⁴ When the sin, which they have sinned, is known, then the congregation shall offer a young bullock for the sin, and bring it before the tabernacle of meeting.

¹⁹ He brought me forth also into a large place; he delivered me, because he delighted in me. ²⁰ The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands has he recompensed me.

A Psalm of David.] My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? why are you so far from helping me, and from the words of my groaning? ² O my God, I cry in the daytime, but you hear not; and in the night season, and am not silent. ³ But you are holy, O you that inhabit the praises of Israel. ⁴ Our fathers trusted in you: they trusted, and you did deliver them. ⁵ They cried unto you, and were delivered: they trusted in you, and were not disappointed. ⁶ But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people. ⁷ All they that see me laugh me to scorn: they shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying, ⁸ He trusted in the LORD that he would deliver him: let him deliver him, seeing he delighted in him. ⁹ But you are he that took me out of the womb: you did make me hope when I was upon my mother's breasts. ¹⁰ I was cast upon you from birth: you are my God from my mother's womb. ¹¹ Be not far from me; for trouble is near; for there is none to help. ¹² Many bulls have compassed me: strong bulls of Bashan have beset me round about. ¹³ They gaped on me with their mouths, as a ravening and a roaring lion. ¹⁴ I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint: my heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of my body. ¹⁵ My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue clings to my jaws; and you have brought me to the dust of death. ¹⁶ For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have enclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet. ¹⁷ I can count all my bones: they look and stare upon me. ¹⁸ They part my garments among them, and cast lots for my clothing. ¹⁹ But be not far from me, O LORD: O my strength, haste you to help me. ²⁰ Deliver my soul from the sword; my life from the power of the dog. ²¹ Save me from the lion's mouth: for you have heard me from the horns of the wild oxen.

²⁴ For he has not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither has he hid his face from him; but when he cried unto him, he heard.

A Psalm of David.] I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. ² He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my steps. ³ And he has put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.

¹³ But as for me, my prayer is unto you, O LORD, in an acceptable time: O God, in the multitude of your mercy hear me, in the truth of your salvation. ¹⁴ Deliver me out of the mire, and let me not sink: let me be delivered from them that hate me, and out of the deep waters. ¹⁵ Let not the floodwater overflow me, neither let the deep swallow me up, and let not the pit shut its mouth upon me. ¹⁶ Hear me, O LORD; for your lovingkindness is good: turn unto me according to the multitude of your tender mercies.

⁸ Thus says the LORD, In an acceptable time have I heard you, and in a day of salvation have I helped you: and I will preserve you, and give you for a covenant to the people, to establish the earth, to cause them to inherit the desolate heritages;

³ He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

¹¹ He shall see the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.

²⁸ For this is my blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. ²⁹ But I say unto you, I will not drink again of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom. ³⁰ And when they had sung a hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives. ³¹ Then said Jesus unto them, All you shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad. ³² But after I am risen again, I will go before you into Galilee. ³³ Peter answered and said unto him, Though all men shall be offended because of you, yet will I never be offended. ³⁴ Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto you, That this night, before the cock crows, you shall deny me three times. ³⁵ Peter said unto him, Though I should die with you, yet will I not deny you. Likewise also said all the disciples. ³⁶ Then came Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and said unto the disciples, Sit you here, while I go and pray yonder. ³⁷ And he took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and very distressed. ³⁸ Then said he unto them, My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even unto death: tarry you here, and watch with me. ³⁹ And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as you will. ⁴⁰ And he came unto the disciples, and found them asleep, and said unto Peter, What, could you not watch with me one hour? ⁴¹ Watch and pray, that you enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. ⁴² He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, your will be done. ⁴³ And he came and found them asleep again: for their eyes were heavy. ⁴⁴ And he left them, and went away again, and prayed the third time, saying the same words.

⁵² Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again your sword into its place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword. ⁵³ Think you that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?

⁴⁶ And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?

⁵⁰ Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up his spirit.

³² And they came to a place which was named Gethsemane: and he said to his disciples, Sit here, while I shall pray. ³³ And he took with him Peter and James and John, and began to be greatly distressed, and to be very troubled; ³⁴ And said unto them, My soul is exceedingly sorrowful unto death: tarry you here, and watch. ³⁵ And he went forward a little, and fell on the ground, and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from him. ³⁶ And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto you; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what you will. ³⁷ And he came, and found them sleeping, and said unto Peter, Simon, do you sleep? could you not watch one hour? ³⁸ Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak. ³⁹ And again he went away, and prayed, and spoke the same words.

³⁴ And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?

³⁷ And Jesus cried with a loud voice, and gave up his spirit.

⁴¹ And he was withdrawn from them about a stone's cast, and kneeled down, and prayed, ⁴² Saying, Father, if you be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but yours, be done. ⁴³ And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him. ⁴⁴ And being in agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.

⁴⁶ And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into your hands I commend my spirit: and having said this, he gave up the spirit.

¹⁴ And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

³⁵ Jesus wept.

⁴² And I knew that you hear me always: but because of the people who stand by I said it, that they may believe that you have sent me.

²⁷ Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour. ²⁸ Father, glorify your name. Then came there a voice from heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.

¹ These words spoke Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour has come; glorify your Son, that your Son also may glorify you:

⁴ I have glorified you on the earth: I have finished the work which you gave me to do. ⁵ And now, O Father, glorify me with your own self with the glory which I had with you before the world was.

³ For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

⁴ But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,

¹⁶ And without doubt great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

¹⁴ Since then the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;

²⁸ Therefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:

²⁰ Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,

³ And every spirit that confesses not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, of which you have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

⁷ For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.
