¹ And the LORD spoke unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying, ² This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you. ³ Speak unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for a house: ⁴ And if the household be too little for the lamb, let him and his neighbor next unto his house take it according to the number of persons; every man according to his eating shall make your count for the lamb. ⁵ Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: you shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats: ⁶ And you shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening. ⁷ And they shall take of the blood, and put it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, in which they shall eat it. ⁸ And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roasted with fire, and unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it. ⁹ Eat not of it raw, nor boiled at all with water, but roasted with fire; its head with its legs, and with the inner parts thereof. ¹⁰ And you shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; and that which remains of it until the morning you shall burn with fire. ¹¹ And thus shall you eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and you shall eat it in haste: it is the LORD'S passover. ¹² For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the LORD. ¹³ And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where you are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt. ¹⁴ And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and you shall keep it a feast to the LORD throughout your generations; you shall keep it a feast by an ordinance forever. ¹⁵ Seven days shall you eat unleavened bread; even the first day you shall put away leaven out of your houses: for whosoever eats leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel. ¹⁶ And in the first day there shall be a holy convocation, and in the seventh day there shall be a holy convocation for you; no manner of work shall be done on them, except that which every man must eat, that only may be done by you. ¹⁷ And you shall observe the feast of unleavened bread; for in this very same day have I brought your armies out of the land of Egypt: therefore shall you observe this day in your generations by an ordinance forever. ¹⁸ In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at evening, you shall eat unleavened bread, until the one and twentieth day of the month at evening. ¹⁹ Seven days shall there be no leaven found in your houses: for whosoever eats that which is leavened, even that soul shall be cut off from the congregation of Israel, whether he be a stranger, or born in the land. ²⁰ You shall eat nothing leavened; in all your dwellings shall you eat unleavened bread. ²¹ Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel, and said unto them, Draw out and take you a lamb according to your families, and kill the passover. ²² And you shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and strike the lintel and the two side posts with the blood that is in the basin; and none of you shall go out at the door of his house until the morning. ²³ For the LORD will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he sees the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the LORD will pass over the door, and will not allow the destroyer to come in unto your houses to slay you. ²⁴ And you shall observe this thing for an ordinance to you and to your sons forever. ²⁵ And it shall come to pass, when you are come to the land which the LORD will give you, according as he has promised, that you shall keep this service. ²⁶ And it shall come to pass, when your children shall say unto you, What mean you by this service? ²⁷ That you shall say, It is the sacrifice of the LORD'S passover, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he smote the Egyptians, and delivered our houses. And the people bowed the head and worshiped. ²⁸ And the children of Israel went away, and did as the LORD had commanded Moses and Aaron, so did they. ²⁹ And it came to pass, that at midnight the LORD smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sat on his throne to the firstborn of the captive that was in the dungeon; and all the firstborn of cattle. ³⁰ And Pharaoh rose up in the night, he, and all his servants, and all the Egyptians; and there was a great cry in Egypt; for there was not a house where there was not one dead. ³¹ And he called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said, Rise up, and go forth from among my people, both you and the children of Israel; and go, serve the LORD, as you have said. ³² Also take your flocks and your herds, as you have said, and be gone; and bless me also. ³³ And the Egyptians were urgent upon the people, that they might send them out of the land in haste; for they said, We are all dead men. ³⁴ And the people took their dough before it was leavened, their kneading troughs being bound up in their clothes upon their shoulders. ³⁵ And the children of Israel did according to the word of Moses; and they requested of the Egyptians jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and clothing: ³⁶ And the LORD gave the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they gave unto them such things as they required. And they spoiled the Egyptians. ³⁷ And the children of Israel journeyed from Rameses to Succoth, about six hundred thousand on foot that were men, besides children. ³⁸ And a mixed multitude went up also with them; and flocks, and herds, even very many cattle. ³⁹ And they baked unleavened cakes of the dough which they brought forth out of Egypt, for it was not leavened; because they were thrust out of Egypt, and could not tarry, neither had they prepared for themselves any provisions. ⁴⁰ Now the sojourning of the children of Israel, who dwelt in Egypt, was four hundred and thirty years. ⁴¹ And it came to pass at the end of the four hundred and thirty years, even the very same day it came to pass, that all the hosts of the LORD went out from the land of Egypt. ⁴² It is a night to be much observed unto the LORD for bringing them out from the land of Egypt: this is that night of the LORD to be observed by all the children of Israel in their generations. ⁴³ And the LORD said unto Moses and Aaron, This is the ordinance of the passover: There shall no foreigner eat of it: ⁴⁴ But every man's servant that is bought for money, when you have circumcised him, then shall he eat thereof. ⁴⁵ A foreigner and a hired servant shall not eat of it. ⁴⁶ In one house shall it be eaten; you shall not carry forth any of the flesh outside of the house; neither shall you break a bone of it. ⁴⁷ All the congregation of Israel shall keep it. ⁴⁸ And when a foreigner shall sojourn with you, and will keep the passover to the LORD, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it; and he shall be as one that is born in the land: for no uncircumcised person shall eat of it. ⁴⁹ One law shall be to him that is homeborn, and unto the foreigner who sojourns among you. ⁵⁰ Thus did all the children of Israel; as the LORD commanded Moses and Aaron, so did they. ⁵¹ And it came to pass the very same day, that the LORD did bring the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt by their hosts.

⁴ This day you came out in the month Abib.

¹⁵ You shall keep the feast of unleavened bread: (you shall eat unleavened bread seven days, as I commanded you, in the time appointed of the month Abib; for in it you came out from Egypt: and none shall appear before me empty:)

¹⁸ The feast of unleavened bread shall you keep. Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread, as I commanded you, in the time of the month Abib: for in the month Abib you came out from Egypt.

⁵ In the fourteenth day of the first month at evening is the LORD's passover.

¹⁶ And on the fourteenth day of the first month is the passover of the LORD.

¹ Observe the month of Abib, and keep the passover unto the LORD your God: for in the month of Abib the LORD your God brought you forth out of Egypt by night.

⁷ In the first month, that is, the month Nisan, in the twelfth year of king Ahasuerus, they cast Pur, that is, the lot, before Haman from day to day, and from month to month, to the twelfth month, that is, the month Adar.

⁴ And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering:

⁸ And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.

³⁰ And Aaron spoke all the words which the LORD had spoken unto Moses, and did the signs in the sight of the people.

⁶ Therefore say unto the children of Israel, I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will deliver you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm, and with great judgments:

⁶ And you shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening.

¹⁵ And the LORD said unto Moses, Why do you cry unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward:

¹⁹ And they said unto Moses, Speak you with us, and we will hear: but let not God speak with us, lest we die.

² Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, If any man of you brings an offering unto the LORD, you shall bring your offering of the cattle, even of the herd, and of the flock.

⁶ And he shall bring his trespass offering unto the LORD for his sin which he has sinned, a female from the flock, a lamb or a kid of the goats, for a sin offering; and the priest shall make an atonement for him concerning his sin.

¹ And the LORD spoke unto Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the tabernacle of meeting, on the first day of the second month, in the second year after they were come out of the land of Egypt, saying, ² Take you the sum of all the congregation of the children of Israel, after their families, by the house of their fathers, with the number of their names, every male individually; ³ From twenty years old and upward, all that are able to go forth to war in Israel: you and Aaron shall number them by their armies. ⁴ And with you there shall be a man of every tribe; every one head of the house of his fathers. ⁵ And these are the names of the men that shall stand with you: of the tribe of Reuben; Elizur the son of Shedeur. ⁶ Of Simeon; Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai. ⁷ Of Judah; Nahshon the son of Amminadab. ⁸ Of Issachar; Nethanel the son of Zuar. ⁹ Of Zebulun; Eliab the son of Helon. ¹⁰ Of the children of Joseph: of Ephraim; Elishama the son of Ammihud: of Manasseh; Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur. ¹¹ Of Benjamin; Abidan the son of Gideoni. ¹² Of Dan; Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai. ¹³ Of Asher; Pagiel the son of Ocran. ¹⁴ Of Gad; Eliasaph the son of Deuel. ¹⁵ Of Naphtali; Ahira the son of Enan. ¹⁶ These were the renowned of the congregation, leaders of the tribes of their fathers, heads of thousands in Israel. ¹⁷ And Moses and Aaron took these men who had been mentioned by name: ¹⁸ And they assembled all the congregation together on the first day of the second month, and they declared their ancestry by their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, individually. ¹⁹ As the LORD commanded Moses, so he numbered them in the wilderness of Sinai. ²⁰ And the children of Reuben, Israel's eldest son, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, individually, every male from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war; ²¹ Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Reuben, were forty and six thousand and five hundred. ²² Of the children of Simeon, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, those that were numbered of them, according to the number of the names, individually, every male from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war; ²³ Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Simeon, were fifty and nine thousand and three hundred. ²⁴ Of the children of Gad, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war; ²⁵ Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Gad, were forty and five thousand six hundred and fifty. ²⁶ Of the children of Judah, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war; ²⁷ Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Judah, were threescore and fourteen thousand and six hundred. ²⁸ Of the children of Issachar, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war; ²⁹ Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Issachar, were fifty and four thousand and four hundred. ³⁰ Of the children of Zebulun, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war; ³¹ Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Zebulun, were fifty and seven thousand and four hundred. ³² Of the children of Joseph, namely, of the children of Ephraim, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war; ³³ Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Ephraim, were forty thousand and five hundred. ³⁴ Of the children of Manasseh, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war; ³⁵ Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Manasseh, were thirty and two thousand and two hundred. ³⁶ Of the children of Benjamin, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war; ³⁷ Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Benjamin, were thirty and five thousand and four hundred. ³⁸ Of the children of Dan, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war; ³⁹ Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Dan, were threescore and two thousand and seven hundred. ⁴⁰ Of the children of Asher, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war; ⁴¹ Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Asher, were forty and one thousand and five hundred. ⁴² Of the children of Naphtali, throughout their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war; ⁴³ Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Naphtali, were fifty and three thousand and four hundred. ⁴⁴ These are those that were numbered, who Moses and Aaron numbered, and the leaders of Israel, being twelve men: each one representing the house of his fathers. ⁴⁵ So were all those that were numbered of the children of Israel, by the house of their fathers, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war in Israel; ⁴⁶ Even all they that were numbered were six hundred thousand and three thousand and five hundred and fifty. ⁴⁷ But the Levites after the tribe of their fathers were not numbered among them. ⁴⁸ For the LORD had spoken unto Moses, saying, ⁴⁹ Only you shall not number the tribe of Levi, neither take the sum of them among the children of Israel: ⁵⁰ But you shall appoint the Levites over the tabernacle of testimony, and over all the vessels thereof, and over all things that belong to it: they shall bear the tabernacle, and all the vessels thereof; and they shall minister unto it, and shall encamp round about the tabernacle. ⁵¹ And when the tabernacle moves forward, the Levites shall take it down: and when the tabernacle is to be encamped, the Levites shall set it up: and the stranger that comes near shall be put to death. ⁵² And the children of Israel shall pitch their tents, every man by his own camp, and every man by his own standard, throughout their armies. ⁵³ But the Levites shall encamp round about the tabernacle of testimony, that there be no wrath upon the congregation of the children of Israel: and the Levites shall keep the charge of the tabernacle of testimony. ⁵⁴ And the children of Israel did according to all that the LORD commanded Moses, so did they.

¹¹ Thus shall it be done for one bullock, or for one ram, or for a lamb, or a kid.

¹⁴ In the morning therefore you shall be brought according to your tribes: and it shall be, that the tribe which the LORD takes shall come according to the families thereof; and the family which the LORD shall take shall come by households; and the household which the LORD shall take shall come man by man.

⁹ And Samuel took a sucking lamb, and offered it for a whole burnt offering unto the LORD: and Samuel cried unto the LORD for Israel; and the LORD heard him.

⁷ And Josiah gave to the people, from the flock, lambs and kids, all for the passover offerings, for all that were present, to the number of thirty thousand, and three thousand bullocks: these were of the king’s possessions.

²⁹ The next day John saw Jesus coming unto him, and said, Behold the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world.

³⁶ And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he said, Behold the Lamb of God!

¹ Then Jesus six days before the passover came to Bethany, where Lazarus was who had been dead, whom he raised from the dead.

¹² On the next day many people that were come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,

⁷ Purge out therefore the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, as you are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:

⁶ And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as though it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth. ⁷ And he came and took the scroll out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne. ⁸ And when he had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of saints. ⁹ And they sang a new song, saying, You are worthy to take the scroll, and to open the seals thereof: for you were slain, and have redeemed us to God by your blood out of every tribe, and tongue, and people, and nation; ¹⁰ And have made us unto our God a kingdom and priests: and we shall reign on the earth. ¹¹ And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the living creatures and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; ¹² Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honor, and glory, and blessing. ¹³ And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honor, and glory, and power, be unto him that sits upon the throne, and unto the Lamb forever and ever.

⁹ After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and tribes, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; ¹⁰ And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God who sits upon the throne, and unto the Lamb. ¹¹ And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four living creatures, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshiped God, ¹² Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honor, and power, and might, be unto our God forever and ever. Amen. ¹³ And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, Who are these who are arrayed in white robes? and from where did they come? ¹⁴ And I said unto him, Sir, you know. And he said to me, These are they who came out of the great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

⁸ And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

³ If his offering be a burnt sacrifice of the herd, let him offer a male without blemish: he shall offer it of his own voluntary will at the door of the tabernacle of meeting before the LORD.

¹⁰ And if his offering be of the flocks, namely, of the sheep, or of the goats, for a burnt sacrifice; he shall bring a male without blemish.

¹⁸ Speak unto Aaron, and to his sons, and unto all the children of Israel, and say unto them, Whosoever he be of the house of Israel, or of the strangers in Israel, that will offer his offering for all his vows, and for all his freewill offerings, which they will offer unto the LORD for a burnt offering; ¹⁹ You shall offer of your own free will a male without blemish, of the cattle, of the sheep, or of the goats. ²⁰ But whatsoever has a blemish, that shall you not offer: for it shall not be acceptable for you. ²¹ And whosoever offers a sacrifice of peace offerings unto the LORD to accomplish his vow, or a freewill offering in cattle or sheep, it shall be perfect to be accepted; there shall be no blemish in it. ²² Blind, or broken, or maimed, or having a discharge, or an itching disease, or scabs, you shall not offer these unto the LORD, nor make an offering by fire of them upon the altar unto the LORD. ²³ Either a bullock or a lamb that has any limb too long or too short, that may you offer for a freewill offering; but for a vow it shall not be accepted. ²⁴ You shall not offer unto the LORD that which is bruised, or crushed, or broken, or cut; neither shall you make any offering of it in your land.

¹² And you shall offer that day when you wave the sheaf a male lamb without blemish of the first year for a burnt offering unto the LORD.

¹ You shall not sacrifice unto the LORD your God any bullock, or sheep, in which is a blemish, or any defect: for that is an abomination unto the LORD your God.

¹ Saul reigned one year; and when he had reigned two years over Israel,

⁷ You offer polluted bread upon my altar; and you say, How have we polluted you? In that you say, The table of the LORD is contemptible. ⁸ And if you offer the blind for a sacrifice, is it not evil? and if you offer the lame and sick, is it not evil? offer it now unto your governor; will he be pleased with you, or accept your person? says the LORD of hosts.

¹⁴ But cursed be the deceiver, who has in his flock a male, and vows, and sacrifices unto the Lord a corrupt thing: for I am a great King, says the LORD of hosts, and my name is feared among the nations.

²⁶ For such a high priest was befitting for us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;

¹³ For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifies to the purifying of the flesh: ¹⁴ How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

¹⁸ Since you know that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain manner of life received by tradition from your fathers; ¹⁹ But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

¹⁸ In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at evening, you shall eat unleavened bread, until the one and twentieth day of the month at evening.

¹² I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel: speak unto them, saying, At evening you shall eat flesh, and in the morning you shall be filled with bread; and you shall know that I am the LORD your God.

¹ And the LORD spoke unto Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the first month of the second year after they were come out of the land of Egypt, saying, ² Let the children of Israel also keep the passover at its appointed time. ³ In the fourteenth day of this month, at evening, you shall keep it in its appointed time: according to all its rites, and according to all its ceremonies, shall you keep it.

¹¹ The fourteenth day of the second month at evening they shall keep it, and eat it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs.

¹⁸ On the first day shall be a holy convocation; you shall do no manner of regular work on it:

¹ Observe the month of Abib, and keep the passover unto the LORD your God: for in the month of Abib the LORD your God brought you forth out of Egypt by night. ² You shall therefore sacrifice the passover unto the LORD your God, of the flock and the herd, in the place which the LORD shall choose to place his name there. ³ You shall eat no leavened bread with it; seven days shall you eat unleavened bread with it, even the bread of affliction: for you came forth out of the land of Egypt in haste: that you may remember the day when you came forth out of the land of Egypt all the days of your life. ⁴ And there shall be no leavened bread seen with you in all your territory seven days; neither shall there any part of the flesh, which you sacrificed the first day at evening, remain all night until the morning. ⁵ You may not sacrifice the passover within any of your gates, which the LORD your God gives you: ⁶ But at the place which the LORD your God shall choose to place his name in, there you shall sacrifice the passover at evening, at the going down of the sun, at the time that you came forth out of Egypt.

¹⁵ Then they killed the passover on the fourteenth day of the second month: and the priests and the Levites were ashamed, and sanctified themselves, and brought in the burnt offerings into the house of the LORD. ¹⁶ And they stood in their place according to their custom, according to the law of Moses the man of God: the priests sprinkled the blood, which they received from the hand of the Levites. ¹⁷ For there were many in the congregation that were not sanctified: therefore the Levites had charge of the killing of the passover lambs for everyone that was not clean, to sanctify them unto the LORD. ¹⁸ For a multitude of the people, even many of Ephraim, and Manasseh, Issachar, and Zebulun, had not cleansed themselves, yet did they eat the passover contrary to what was written. But Hezekiah prayed for them, saying, The good LORD pardon everyone

⁶ All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned everyone to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.

²¹ In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month, you shall have the passover, a feast of seven days; unleavened bread shall be eaten.

²⁰ But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitude that they should ask for Barabbas, and destroy Jesus.

²⁵ Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children.

⁴⁶ And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? ⁴⁷ Some of them that stood there, when they heard that, said, This man calls for Elijah. ⁴⁸ And immediately one of them ran, and took a sponge, and filled it with vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink. ⁴⁹ The rest said, Let be, let us see whether Elijah will come to save him. ⁵⁰ Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up his spirit.

¹ And immediately in the morning the chief priests held a consultation with the elders and scribes and the whole council, and bound Jesus, and carried him away, and delivered him to Pilate.

⁸ And the multitude crying aloud began to desire him to do as he had always done unto them.

¹¹ But the chief priests stirred up the people, that he should rather release Barabbas unto them.

²⁵ And it was the third hour, and they crucified him.

³³ And when the sixth hour was come, there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour. ³⁴ And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?

¹ And the whole multitude of them arose, and led him unto Pilate.

¹⁸ And they cried out all at once, saying, Away with this man, and release unto us Barabbas:

²³ Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, you have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:

¹⁴ But you denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you;

²⁷ For of a truth against your holy child Jesus, whom you have anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together,

²² And you shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and strike the lintel and the two side posts with the blood that is in the basin; and none of you shall go out at the door of his house until the morning. ²³ For the LORD will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he sees the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the LORD will pass over the door, and will not allow the destroyer to come in unto your houses to slay you.

⁷ In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

²² And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.

¹⁴ For by one offering he has perfected forever them that are sanctified.

²⁹ Of how much worse punishment, suppose you, shall he be thought worthy, who has trodden under foot the Son of God, and has counted the blood of the covenant, with which he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and has done insult unto the Spirit of grace?

²⁸ Through faith he kept the passover, and the sprinkling of blood, lest he that destroyed the firstborn should touch them.

² Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.

¹⁴ And they made their lives bitter with hard bondage, in mortar, and in brick, and in all manner of service in the field: all their service, in which they made them serve, was with rigor.

³ And Moses said unto the people, Remember this day, in which you came out from Egypt, out of the house of bondage; for by strength of hand the LORD brought you out from this place: there shall no leavened bread be eaten.

⁷ Unleavened bread shall be eaten seven days; and there shall no leavened bread be seen with you, neither shall there be leaven seen with you in all your quarters.

¹⁸ You shall not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leavened bread; neither shall the fat of my sacrifice remain until the morning.

²⁵ You shall not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leaven; neither shall the sacrifice of the feast of the passover be left unto the morning.

¹¹ The fourteenth day of the second month at evening they shall keep it, and eat it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs. ¹² They shall leave none of it until the morning, nor break any bone of it: according to all the ordinances of the passover they shall keep it.

³ You shall eat no leavened bread with it; seven days shall you eat unleavened bread with it, even the bread of affliction: for you came forth out of the land of Egypt in haste: that you may remember the day when you came forth out of the land of Egypt all the days of your life. ⁴ And there shall be no leavened bread seen with you in all your territory seven days; neither shall there any part of the flesh, which you sacrificed the first day at evening, remain all night until the morning.

⁷ And you shall roast and eat it in the place which the LORD your God shall choose: and you shall turn in the morning, and go unto your tents.

¹⁴ I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint: my heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of my body.

¹⁰ Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he has put him to grief: when you shall make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his offspring, he shall prolong his days, and the will of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.

⁵ And offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving with leaven, and proclaim and publish the free offerings: for this you love, O you children of Israel, says the Lord GOD.

¹⁰ And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the Spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourns for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.

¹² Then understood they that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.

²⁶ And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and broke it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.

⁵² The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat? ⁵³ Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except you eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, you have no life in you. ⁵⁴ Whosoever eats my flesh, and drinks my blood, has eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. ⁵⁵ For my flesh is food indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. ⁵⁶ He that eats my flesh, and drinks my blood, dwells in me, and I in him. ⁵⁷ As the living Father has sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eats me, even he shall live by me.

⁶ Your glorying is not good. Know you not that a little leaven leavens the whole lump? ⁷ Purge out therefore the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, as you are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us: ⁸ Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. ⁹ A little leaven leavens the whole lump.

⁶ And you became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Spirit:

⁸ And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roasted with fire, and unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it.

¹³ From above has he sent fire into my bones, and it prevails against them: he has spread a net for my feet, he has turned me back: he has made me desolate and faint all the day.

³⁴ And if any of the flesh of the consecrations, or of the bread, remain unto the morning, then you shall burn the remainder with fire: it shall not be eaten, because it is holy.

¹⁵ And the flesh of the sacrifice of his peace offerings for thanksgiving shall be eaten the same day that it is offered; he shall not leave any of it until the morning. ¹⁶ But if the sacrifice of his offering be a vow, or a voluntary offering, it shall be eaten the same day that he offers his sacrifice: and the next day also the remainder of it shall be eaten: ¹⁷ But the remainder of the flesh of the sacrifice on the third day shall be burnt with fire.

³⁰ On the same day it shall be eaten up; you shall leave none of it until morning: I am the LORD.

⁴ And there shall be no leavened bread seen with you in all your territory seven days; neither shall there any part of the flesh, which you sacrificed the first day at evening, remain all night until the morning. ⁵ You may not sacrifice the passover within any of your gates, which the LORD your God gives you:

¹³ And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where you are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.

²¹ Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel, and said unto them, Draw out and take you a lamb according to your families, and kill the passover.

²⁷ That you shall say, It is the sacrifice of the LORD'S passover, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he smote the Egyptians, and delivered our houses. And the people bowed the head and worshiped.

⁴³ And the LORD said unto Moses and Aaron, This is the ordinance of the passover: There shall no foreigner eat of it:

¹⁹ And the disciples did as Jesus had appointed them; and they made ready the passover. ²⁰ Now when the evening was come, he sat down with the twelve.

³⁸ And stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment.

³⁵ Let your waists be girded about, and your lamps burning;

²² But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and sandals on his feet:

¹⁵ And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

¹³ Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

² And God spoke unto Moses, and said unto him, I am the LORD:

⁴ And Moses said, Thus says the LORD, About midnight will I go out into the midst of Egypt: ⁵ And all the firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sits upon his throne, even unto the firstborn of the maidservant that is behind the mill; and all the firstborn of beasts. ⁶ And there shall be a great cry throughout all the land of Egypt, such as there was none like it, nor shall be like it any more.

²³ For the LORD will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he sees the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the LORD will pass over the door, and will not allow the destroyer to come in unto your houses to slay you.

²⁹ And it came to pass, that at midnight the LORD smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sat on his throne to the firstborn of the captive that was in the dungeon; and all the firstborn of cattle. ³⁰ And Pharaoh rose up in the night, he, and all his servants, and all the Egyptians; and there was a great cry in Egypt; for there was not a house where there was not one dead.

⁶ Then his master shall bring him unto the judges; he shall also bring him to the door, or unto the door post; and his master shall bore his ear through with an awl; and he shall serve him forever.

²⁸ You shall not revile God, nor curse the ruler of your people.

⁴ For the Egyptians buried all their firstborn, which the LORD had smitten among them: upon their gods also the LORD executed judgments.

³ And when they of Ashdod arose early the next day, behold, Dagon was fallen upon his face to the earth before the ark of the LORD. And they took Dagon, and set him in his place again.

⁵ Therefore you shall make images of your tumors, and images of your mice that mar the land; and you shall give glory unto the God of Israel: perhaps he will lighten his hand from off you, and from off your gods, and from off your land.

¹² And when they had left their gods there, David gave a commandment, and they were burned with fire.

¹ [A Psalm of Asaph.] God stands in the congregation of the mighty; he judges among the gods.

⁶ I have said, You are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.

¹ The burden concerning Egypt. Behold, the LORD rides upon a swift cloud, and shall come into Egypt: and the idols of Egypt shall tremble at his presence, and the heart of Egypt shall melt in the midst of it.

¹¹ I, even I, am the LORD; and besides me there is no savior. ¹² I have declared, and have saved, and I proclaimed, when there was no strange god among you: therefore you are my witnesses, says the LORD, that I am God. ¹³ Yea, before the day was I am he; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand: I will work, and who shall hinder it? ¹⁴ Thus says the LORD, your redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; For your sake I have sent to Babylon, and have brought them all down as fugitives, and the Chaldeans, whose song is in their ships. ¹⁵ I am the LORD, your Holy One, the creator of Israel, your King.

¹³ He shall break also the sacred pillars of Beth-shemesh, that is in the land of Egypt; and the houses of the gods of the Egyptians shall he burn with fire.

¹⁶ But I will leave a few men of them from the sword, from the famine, and from the pestilence; that they may declare all their abominations among the nations where they come; and they shall know that I am the LORD.

¹⁷ And in all vineyards shall be wailing: for I will pass through you, says the LORD.

¹¹ The LORD will be terrible unto them: for he will famish all the gods of the earth; and men shall worship him, every one from his place, even all the coasts of the nations.

³⁴ Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, You are gods? ³⁵ If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;

¹¹ And you shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskins; and it shall be a sign of the covenant between me and you.

¹² Now therefore, I pray you, swear unto me by the LORD, since I have showed you kindness, that you will also show kindness unto my father's house, and give me a true sign:

¹⁰ And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, who delivered us from the wrath to come.

⁷ But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanses us from all sin.

¹ And afterward Moses and Aaron went in, and told Pharaoh, Thus says the LORD God of Israel, Let my people go, that they may hold a feast unto me in the wilderness.

¹⁷ And you shall observe the feast of unleavened bread; for in this very same day have I brought your armies out of the land of Egypt: therefore shall you observe this day in your generations by an ordinance forever.

²⁴ And you shall observe this thing for an ordinance to you and to your sons forever.

⁹ And it shall be for a sign unto you upon your hand, and for a memorial before your eyes, that the LORD's law may be in your mouth: for with a strong hand has the LORD brought you out of Egypt. ¹⁰ You shall therefore keep this ordinance in its season from year to year.

⁴ These are the feasts of the LORD, even holy convocations, which you shall proclaim in their appointed times. ⁵ In the fourteenth day of the first month at evening is the LORD's passover.

⁸ And the sons of Aaron, the priests, shall blow with the trumpets; and they shall be to you for an ordinance forever throughout your generations.

⁴⁰ To be a memorial unto the children of Israel, that no stranger, who is not of the descendants of Aaron, come near to offer incense before the LORD; that he become not as Korah, and as his company: as the LORD said to him by the hand of Moses.

⁸ And the LORD spoke unto Aaron, Behold, I also have given you the duties of my heave offerings of all the hallowed things of the children of Israel; unto you have I given them as a portion to you, and to your sons, by an ordinance forever.

¹¹ And you shall rejoice before the LORD your God, you, and your son, and your daughter, and your manservant, and your maidservant, and the Levite that is within your gates, and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, that are among you, in the place which the LORD your God has chosen to place his name there.

⁷ Then you shall answer them, That the waters of Jordan were cut off before the ark of the covenant of the LORD; when it passed over Jordan, the waters of Jordan were cut off: and these stones shall be for a memorial unto the children of Israel forever.

²⁵ And it was so from that day forward, that he made it a statute and an ordinance for Israel unto this day.

²¹ And the king commanded all the people, saying, Keep the passover unto the LORD your God, as it is written in the book of this covenant.

⁹ And Nehemiah, who is the governor, and Ezra the priest the scribe, and the Levites that taught the people, said unto all the people, This day is holy unto the LORD your God; mourn not, nor weep. For all the people wept, when they heard the words of the law. ¹⁰ Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet wine, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be you grieved; for the joy of the LORD is your strength. ¹¹ So the Levites stilled all the people, saying, Hold your peace, for the day is holy; neither be you grieved. ¹² And all the people went their way to eat, and to drink, and to send portions, and to make great rejoicing, because they had understood the words that were declared unto them.

⁴ He has made his wonderful works to be remembered: the LORD is gracious and full of compassion.

¹³ Your name, O LORD, endures forever; and your memorial, O LORD, throughout all generations.

¹⁴ And you shall prepare a grain offering for it every morning, the sixth part of an ephah, and the third part of a hin of oil, to moisten the fine flour; a grain offering continually by a perpetual ordinance unto the LORD.

¹⁴ And the crown shall be to Heldai, and to Tobijah, and to Jedaiah, and to Hen the son of Zephaniah, for a memorial in the temple of the LORD.

¹³ Verily I say unto you, Wherever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, there shall also this, which this woman has done, be told for a memorial of her.

¹⁹ And he took bread, and gave thanks, and broke it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.

²³ For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread: ²⁴ And when he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me. ²⁵ After the same manner also he took the cup, after he had eaten, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do you, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me. ²⁶ For as often as you eat this bread, and drink this cup, you do show the Lord's death till he comes.

¹⁴ And the uncircumcised male child whose flesh of his foreskin is not circumcised, that soul shall be cut off from his people; he has broken my covenant.

¹⁹ Seven days shall there be no leaven found in your houses: for whosoever eats that which is leavened, even that soul shall be cut off from the congregation of Israel, whether he be a stranger, or born in the land. ²⁰ You shall eat nothing leavened; in all your dwellings shall you eat unleavened bread.

⁶ Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread, and on the seventh day shall be a feast to the LORD. ⁷ Unleavened bread shall be eaten seven days; and there shall no leavened bread be seen with you, neither shall there be leaven seen with you in all your quarters. ⁸ And you shall show your son in that day, saying, This is done because of that which the LORD did unto me when I came forth out of Egypt.

¹⁴ You shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that defiles it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever does any work on it, that soul shall be cut off from among his people.

¹⁰ And whatsoever man there be of the house of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn among you, that eats any manner of blood; I will even set my face against that soul that eats blood, and will cut him off from among his people.

¹⁴ For it is the life of all flesh; the blood of it is for the life thereof: therefore I said unto the children of Israel, You shall eat the blood of no kind of flesh: for the life of all flesh is the blood thereof: whosoever eats it shall be cut off.

¹³ But the man that is clean, and is not on a journey, and ceases to keep the passover, even the same soul shall be cut off from among his people: because he brought not the offering of the LORD in its appointed time, that man shall bear his sin.

¹⁷ And on the fifteenth day of this month is the feast: seven days shall unleavened bread be eaten.

³ You shall eat no leavened bread with it; seven days shall you eat unleavened bread with it, even the bread of affliction: for you came forth out of the land of Egypt in haste: that you may remember the day when you came forth out of the land of Egypt all the days of your life.

⁵ You may not sacrifice the passover within any of your gates, which the LORD your God gives you:

⁸ Six days you shall eat unleavened bread: and on the seventh day shall be a solemn assembly to the LORD your God: you shall do no work therein.

¹² The LORD will cut off the man that does this, the master and the scholar, out of the tabernacles of Jacob, and him that offers an offering unto the LORD of hosts.

¹ In the meantime, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, so much that they tread one upon another, he began to say unto his disciples first of all, Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.

³ And because he saw it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to take Peter also. (Then were the days of unleavened bread.)

¹² I would they were even cut off who trouble you.

⁵ And it shall come to pass, that on the sixth day they shall prepare that which they bring in; and it shall be twice as much as they gather daily.

²³ And he said unto them, This is that which the LORD has said, Tomorrow is the rest of the holy sabbath unto the LORD: bake that which you will bake today, and boil that which you will boil; and that which remains over lay up for you to be kept until the morning.

²⁹ See, for the LORD has given you the sabbath, therefore he gives you on the sixth day the bread of two days; abide you every man in his place, let no man go out of his place on the seventh day.

¹⁰ But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD your God: in it you shall not do any work, you, nor your son, nor your daughter, your manservant, nor your maidservant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger that is within your gates:

² Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day it shall be to you a holy day, a sabbath of rest to the LORD: whosoever does work on it shall be put to death. ³ You shall kindle no fire throughout your houses upon the sabbath day.

² Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the LORD, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts. ³ Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, a holy convocation; you shall do no work on it: it is the sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings.

²¹ And you shall proclaim on the same day, that it may be a holy convocation unto you: you shall do no regular work on it: it shall be a statute forever in all your dwellings throughout your generations.

²⁴ Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall you have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, a holy convocation. ²⁵ You shall do no regular work on it: but you shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD.

²⁷ Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a day of atonement: it shall be a holy convocation unto you; and you shall humble yourselves, and offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD.

³⁵ On the first day shall be a holy convocation: you shall do no regular work on it.

²⁵ And on the seventh day you shall have a holy convocation; you shall do no regular work.

¹ And in the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall have a holy convocation; you shall do no regular work: it is unto you a day of blowing the trumpets.

¹² And on the fifteenth day of the seventh month you shall have a holy convocation; you shall do no regular work, and you shall keep a feast unto the LORD seven days:

²¹ Thus says the LORD; Take heed to yourselves, and bear no burden on the sabbath day, nor bring it in by the gates of Jerusalem; ²² Neither carry forth a burden out of your houses on the sabbath day, neither do you any work, but hallow you the sabbath day, as I commanded your fathers.

⁵ And the Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD, when I stretch forth my hand upon Egypt, and bring out the children of Israel from among them.

⁴¹ And it came to pass at the end of the four hundred and thirty years, even the very same day it came to pass, that all the hosts of the LORD went out from the land of Egypt.

⁸ And you shall show your son in that day, saying, This is done because of that which the LORD did unto me when I came forth out of Egypt.

¹⁶ And when we cried unto the LORD, he heard our voice, and sent an angel, and has brought us forth out of Egypt: and, behold, we are in Kadesh, a city on the edge of your border:

¹ And the LORD spoke unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying, ² This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.

¹⁵ Seven days shall you eat unleavened bread; even the first day you shall put away leaven out of your houses: for whosoever eats leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel.

¹⁶ And on the fourteenth day of the first month is the passover of the LORD. ¹⁷ And on the fifteenth day of this month is the feast: seven days shall unleavened bread be eaten. ¹⁸ On the first day shall be a holy convocation; you shall do no manner of regular work on it: ¹⁹ But you shall offer a sacrifice made by fire for a burnt offering unto the LORD; two young bullocks, and one ram, and seven lambs of the first year: they shall be unto you without blemish: ²⁰ And their grain offerings shall be of flour mixed with oil: three-tenths of an ephah shall you offer for a bullock, and two-tenths of an ephah for a ram; ²¹ A tenth of an ephah shall you offer for every lamb, throughout the seven lambs: ²² And one goat for a sin offering, to make an atonement for you. ²³ You shall offer these besides the burnt offering in the morning, which is for a continual burnt offering. ²⁴ In this manner you shall offer daily, throughout the seven days, the grain of the sacrifice made by fire, of a sweet aroma unto the LORD: it shall be offered besides the continual burnt offering, and its drink offering. ²⁵ And on the seventh day you shall have a holy convocation; you shall do no regular work.

⁴⁸ And when a foreigner shall sojourn with you, and will keep the passover to the LORD, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it; and he shall be as one that is born in the land: for no uncircumcised person shall eat of it.

¹⁶ Go, and gather the elders of Israel together, and say unto them, The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, appeared unto me, saying, I have surely visited you, and seen that which is done to you in Egypt:

³ Speak unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for a house:

¹¹ And thus shall you eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and you shall eat it in haste: it is the LORD'S passover.

⁵ And the LORD said unto Moses, Go on before the people, and take with you of the elders of Israel; and your rod, with which you smote the river, take in your hand, and go.

⁷ And Moses came and called for the elders of the people, and laid before their faces all these words which the LORD commanded him.

² Let the children of Israel also keep the passover at its appointed time. ³ In the fourteenth day of this month, at evening, you shall keep it in its appointed time: according to all its rites, and according to all its ceremonies, shall you keep it. ⁴ And Moses spoke unto the children of Israel, that they should keep the passover. ⁵ And they kept the passover on the fourteenth day of the first month at evening in the wilderness of Sinai: according to all that the LORD commanded Moses, so did the children of Israel.

¹⁶ And the LORD said unto Moses, Gather unto me seventy men of the elders of Israel, whom you know to be the elders of the people, and officers over them; and bring them unto the tabernacle of meeting, that they may stand there with you.

¹⁰ And the children of Israel encamped in Gilgal, and kept the passover on the fourteenth day of the month at evening in the plains of Jericho.

¹⁵ Then they killed the passover on the fourteenth day of the second month: and the priests and the Levites were ashamed, and sanctified themselves, and brought in the burnt offerings into the house of the LORD. ¹⁶ And they stood in their place according to their custom, according to the law of Moses the man of God: the priests sprinkled the blood, which they received from the hand of the Levites. ¹⁷ For there were many in the congregation that were not sanctified: therefore the Levites had charge of the killing of the passover lambs for everyone that was not clean, to sanctify them unto the LORD.

⁵ And stand in the holy place according to the divisions of the fathers’ houses of your brethren the lay people, and according to the division of the families of the Levites. ⁶ So kill the passover, and sanctify yourselves, and prepare your brethren, that they may do according to the word of the LORD by the hand of Moses.

²⁰ For the priests and the Levites were purified together, all of them were purified, and killed the passover for all the children of the captivity, and for their brethren the priests, and for themselves.

¹⁷ Now the first day of the feast of unleavened bread the disciples came to Jesus, saying unto him, Where will you that we prepare for you to eat the passover? ¹⁸ And he said, Go into the city to such a man, and say unto him, The Teacher says, My time is at hand; I will keep the passover at your house with my disciples. ¹⁹ And the disciples did as Jesus had appointed them; and they made ready the passover.

¹² And the first day of unleavened bread, when they killed the passover, his disciples said unto him, Where will you that we go and prepare that you may eat the passover? ¹³ And he sent forth two of his disciples, and said unto them, Go into the city, and there shall meet you a man bearing a pitcher of water: follow him. ¹⁴ And wherever he shall go in, say to the owner of the house, The Master says, Where is the guest room, where I shall eat the passover with my disciples? ¹⁵ And he will show you a large upper room furnished and prepared: there make ready for us. ¹⁶ And his disciples went forth, and came into the city, and found as he had said unto them: and they made ready the passover.

⁷ Then came the day of unleavened bread, when the passover must be killed. ⁸ And he sent Peter and John, saying, Go and prepare us the passover, that we may eat. ⁹ And they said unto him, Where will you that we prepare? ¹⁰ And he said unto them, Behold, when you are entered into the city, there shall a man meet you, bearing a pitcher of water; follow him into the house where he enters in. ¹¹ And you shall say unto the owner of the house, The Master says unto you, Where is the guest room, where I shall eat the passover with my disciples? ¹² And he shall show you a large upper room furnished: there make ready. ¹³ And they went, and found as he had said unto them: and they made ready the passover.

⁴ And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.

⁷ And they shall take of the blood, and put it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, in which they shall eat it.

⁶ As for the living bird, he shall take it, and the cedar wood, and the scarlet, and the hyssop, and shall dip them and the living bird in the blood of the bird that was killed over the running water: ⁷ And he shall sprinkle upon him that is to be cleansed from the leprosy seven times, and shall pronounce him clean, and shall let the living bird loose into the open field.

¹⁸ And a clean person shall take hyssop, and dip it in the water, and sprinkle it upon the tent, and upon all the vessels, and upon the persons that were there, and upon him that touched a bone, or one slain, or one dead, or a grave:

⁷ Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

³⁰ And when they had sung a hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives.

¹ Then verily the first covenant had also ordinances of divine service, and an earthly sanctuary.

¹⁴ How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

¹⁹ For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people,

²⁴ And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaks better things than that of Abel.

¹² For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the LORD. ¹³ And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where you are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.

¹⁶ And when the angel stretched out his hand upon Jerusalem to destroy it, the LORD turned from the destruction, and said to the angel that destroyed the people, It is enough: stay now your hand. And the angel of the LORD was by the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite.

³⁶ Then the angel of the LORD went forth, and struck in the camp of the Assyrians a hundred and fourscore and five thousand: and when they arose early in the morning, behold, these were all dead corpses.

⁴ And the LORD said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that are done in its midst.

⁶ Slay utterly old and young, both maidens, and little children, and women: but come not near any man upon whom is the mark; and begin at my sanctuary. Then they began at the elders who were before the house.

¹⁰ Neither murmur you, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed by the destroyer.

³ Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God on their foreheads.

⁴ And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men who have not the seal of God in their foreheads.

⁸ And I will give unto you, and to your descendants after you, the land in which you are a sojourner, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God. ⁹ And God said unto Abraham, You shall keep my covenant therefore, you, and your descendants after you in their generations. ¹⁰ This is my covenant, which you shall keep, between me and you and your descendants after you; Every male child among you shall be circumcised.

¹⁴ And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and you shall keep it a feast to the LORD throughout your generations; you shall keep it a feast by an ordinance forever.

⁸ And I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good and large land, unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites.

¹⁷ And I have said, I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt unto the land of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, unto a land flowing with milk and honey.

⁵ Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as the LORD my God commanded me, that you should do so in the land where you go to possess it.

⁸ You shall not do according to all the things that we do here this day, every man whatsoever is right in his own eyes. ⁹ For you are not as yet come to the rest and to the inheritance, which the LORD your God gives you.

⁵ You may not sacrifice the passover within any of your gates, which the LORD your God gives you: ⁶ But at the place which the LORD your God shall choose to place his name in, there you shall sacrifice the passover at evening, at the going down of the sun, at the time that you came forth out of Egypt. ⁷ And you shall roast and eat it in the place which the LORD your God shall choose: and you shall turn in the morning, and go unto your tents. ⁸ Six days you shall eat unleavened bread: and on the seventh day shall be a solemn assembly to the LORD your God: you shall do no work therein. ⁹ Seven weeks shall you number unto you: begin to number the seven weeks from such time as you begin to put the sickle to the grain.

¹⁰ And the children of Israel encamped in Gilgal, and kept the passover on the fourteenth day of the month at evening in the plains of Jericho. ¹¹ And they did eat of the old grain of the land the next day after the passover, unleavened cakes, and parched grain on the very same day. ¹² And the manna ceased the next day after they had eaten of the old grain of the land; neither had the children of Israel manna any more; but they did eat of the fruit of the land of Canaan that year.

⁴⁴ And gave them the lands of the nations: and they inherited the labor of the people; ⁴⁵ That they might observe his statutes, and keep his laws. Praise you the LORD.

² And that you may tell in the ears of your son, and of your son's son, what things I have done in Egypt, and my signs which I have done among them; that you may know that I am the LORD.

⁸ And you shall show your son in that day, saying, This is done because of that which the LORD did unto me when I came forth out of Egypt. ⁹ And it shall be for a sign unto you upon your hand, and for a memorial before your eyes, that the LORD's law may be in your mouth: for with a strong hand has the LORD brought you out of Egypt.

¹⁴ And it shall be when your son asks you in time to come, saying, What is this? that you shall say unto him, By strength of hand the LORD brought us out from Egypt, from the house of bondage: ¹⁵ And it came to pass, when Pharaoh refused to let us go, that the LORD slew all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both the firstborn of man, and the firstborn of beast: therefore I sacrifice to the LORD all that opens the womb, being males; but all the firstborn of my children I redeem.

²² He took not away the pillar of the cloud by day, nor the pillar of fire by night, from before the people.

⁷ And you shall teach them diligently unto your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up.

¹⁹ And you shall teach them to your children, speaking of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.

⁷ Remember the days of old, consider the years of many generations: ask your father, and he will show you; your elders, and they will tell you.

⁶ That this may be a sign among you, that when your children ask their fathers in time to come, saying, What mean you by these stones? ⁷ Then you shall answer them, That the waters of Jordan were cut off before the ark of the covenant of the LORD; when it passed over Jordan, the waters of Jordan were cut off: and these stones shall be for a memorial unto the children of Israel forever.

²¹ And he spoke unto the children of Israel, saying, When your children shall ask their fathers in time to come, saying, What mean these stones? ²² Then you shall let your children know, saying, Israel came over this Jordan on dry land. ²³ For the LORD your God dried up the waters of Jordan from before you, until you were passed over, as the LORD your God did to the Red sea, which he dried up from before us, until we were gone over: ²⁴ That all the people of the earth might know the hand of the LORD, that it is mighty: that you might fear the LORD your God forever.

³ Which we have heard and known, and our fathers have told us. ⁴ We will not hide them from their children, showing to the generation to come the praises of the LORD, and his strength, and his wonderful works that he has done. ⁵ For he established a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers, that they should make them known to their children: ⁶ That the generation to come might know them, even the children who should be born; who should arise and declare them to their children:

⁴ One generation shall praise your works to another, and shall declare your mighty acts.

¹⁹ The living, the living, he shall praise you, as I do this day: the father to the children shall make known your truth.

⁴ And, you fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

³¹ And the people believed: and when they heard that the LORD had visited the children of Israel, and that he had looked upon their affliction, then they bowed their heads and worshiped.

⁸ And Moses made haste, and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshiped.

² You shall therefore sacrifice the passover unto the LORD your God, of the flock and the herd, in the place which the LORD shall choose to place his name there.

²⁰ And David said to all the congregation, Now bless the LORD your God. And all the congregation blessed the LORD God of their fathers, and bowed down their heads, and worshiped the LORD, and the king.

¹⁸ And Jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground: and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem fell before the LORD, worshiping the LORD.

³⁰ Moreover Hezekiah the king and the princes commanded the Levites to sing praise unto the LORD with the words of David, and of Asaph the seer. And they sang praises with gladness, and they bowed their heads and worshiped.

⁶ And Ezra blessed the LORD, the great God. And all the people answered, Amen, Amen, lifting up their hands: and they bowed their heads, and worshiped the LORD with their faces to the ground.

²³ And I say unto you, Let my son go, that he may serve me: and if you refuse to let him go, behold, I will slay your son, even your firstborn.

⁶ And the LORD did that thing the next day, and all the cattle of Egypt died: but of the cattle of the children of Israel not one died.

⁴ And Moses said, Thus says the LORD, About midnight will I go out into the midst of Egypt: ⁵ And all the firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sits upon his throne, even unto the firstborn of the maidservant that is behind the mill; and all the firstborn of beasts.

¹² For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the LORD.

¹⁵ And it came to pass, when Pharaoh refused to let us go, that the LORD slew all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both the firstborn of man, and the firstborn of beast: therefore I sacrifice to the LORD all that opens the womb, being males; but all the firstborn of my children I redeem.

¹³ Because all the firstborn are mine; for on the day that I struck all the firstborn in the land of Egypt I hallowed unto me all the firstborn in Israel, both man and animal: mine shall they be: I am the LORD.

¹⁷ For all the firstborn of the children of Israel are mine, both man and animal: on the day that I struck every firstborn in the land of Egypt I sanctified them for myself.

²⁰ In a moment shall they die, and the people shall be troubled at midnight, and pass away: and the mighty shall be taken away without a hand.

⁵¹ And struck down all the firstborn in Egypt; the chief of their strength in the tabernacles of Ham:

³⁶ He struck also all the firstborn in their land, the first of all their strength.

⁸ Who struck the firstborn of Egypt, both of man and beast.

¹⁰ To him that struck Egypt in their firstborn: for his mercy endures forever:

²² And they shall be gathered together, as prisoners are gathered in the pit, and shall be shut up in the prison, and after many days shall they be punished.

¹⁴ The captive exile hastens that he may be loosed, and that he should not die in the pit, nor that his bread should fail.

⁶ Then took they Jeremiah, and cast him into the cistern of Malchiah the son of Hammelech, that was in the court of the prison: and they let down Jeremiah with ropes. And in the dungeon there was no water, but mire: so Jeremiah sank in the mire.

¹³ So they drew up Jeremiah with cords, and took him up out of the cistern: and Jeremiah remained in the court of the prison.

¹¹ As for you also, because of the blood of your covenant I have sent forth your prisoners out of the pit in which is no water.

² For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. ³ For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction comes upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

²³ To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, who are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,

⁶ And there shall be a great cry throughout all the land of Egypt, such as there was none like it, nor shall be like it any more.

¹³ Whosoever stops his ears at the cry of the poor, he also shall cry himself, but shall not be heard.

⁶ And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom comes; go out to meet him.

¹³ For he shall have judgment without mercy, that has showed no mercy; and mercy triumphs over judgment.

¹⁹ And I am sure that the king of Egypt will not let you go, no, not by a mighty hand. ²⁰ And I will stretch out my hand, and smite Egypt with all my wonders which I will do in the midst of it: and after that he will let you go.

¹ Then the LORD said unto Moses, Now shall you see what I will do to Pharaoh: for with a strong hand shall he let them go, and with a strong hand shall he drive them out of his land.

⁸ Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron, and said, Entreat the LORD, that he may take away the frogs from me, and from my people; and I will let the people go, that they may do sacrifice unto the LORD.

⁹ And Moses said, We will go with our young and with our old, with our sons and with our daughters, with our flocks and with our herds will we go; for we must hold a feast unto the LORD.

²⁹ And Moses said, You have spoken well, I will see your face again no more.

⁸ And all these your servants shall come down unto me, and bow down themselves unto me, saying, Get out, and all the people that follow you: and after that I will go out. And he went out from Pharaoh in great anger.

³⁸ Egypt was glad when they departed: for the fear of them fell upon them.

³⁴ And when Esau heard the words of his father, he cried with a great and exceedingly bitter cry, and said unto his father, Bless me, even me also, O my father.

³⁸ And Esau said unto his father, Have you but one blessing, my father? bless me, even me also, O my father. And Esau lifted up his voice, and wept.

²⁸ And Pharaoh said, I will let you go, that you may sacrifice to the LORD your God in the wilderness; only you shall not go very far away: entreat for me.

²⁸ Entreat the LORD (for it is enough) that there be no more mighty thunderings and hail; and I will let you go, and you shall stay no longer.

²⁶ Our cattle also shall go with us; there shall not a hoof be left behind; for of them must we take to serve the LORD our God; and we know not with what we must serve the LORD, until we come there.

³ But God came to Abimelech in a dream by night, and said to him, Behold, you are but a dead man, for the woman that you have taken; for she is a man's wife.

¹ And the LORD said unto Moses, Yet will I bring one plague more upon Pharaoh, and upon Egypt; afterwards he will let you go from here: when he shall let you go, he shall surely thrust you out from here altogether.

¹² And the children of Israel spoke unto Moses, saying, Behold, we die, we perish, we all perish. ¹³ Whosoever comes anywhere near unto the tabernacle of the LORD shall die: shall we be consumed with dying?

³ And the river shall bring forth frogs abundantly, which shall go up and come into your house, and into your bedchamber, and upon your bed, and into the house of your servants, and upon your people, and into your ovens, and into your kneading troughs:

¹⁴ And also that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they come out with great possessions.

²¹ And I will give this people favor in the sight of the Egyptians: and it shall come to pass, that, when you go, you shall not go empty: ²² But every woman shall request of her neighbor, and of her that sojourns in her house, jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and clothing: and you shall put them upon your sons, and upon your daughters; and you shall spoil the Egyptians.

² Speak now in the ears of the people, and let every man request of his neighbor, and every woman of her neighbor, jewels of silver, and jewels of gold. ³ And the LORD gave the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians. Moreover the man Moses was very great in the land of Egypt, in the sight of Pharaoh's servants, and in the sight of the people.

³⁷ He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes.

²¹ But the LORD was with Joseph, and showed him mercy, and gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison.

³ And the LORD gave the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians. Moreover the man Moses was very great in the land of Egypt, in the sight of Pharaoh's servants, and in the sight of the people.

⁷ When a man's ways please the LORD, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.

⁹ Now God had brought Daniel into favor and kindness with the prince of the eunuchs.

⁴⁷ Praising God, and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as were being saved.

¹⁰ And delivered him out of all his afflictions, and gave him favor and wisdom in the sight of Pharaoh king of Egypt; and he made him governor over Egypt and all his house.

² And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you, and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing:

⁵ And he brought him forth outside, and said, Look now toward heaven, and count the stars, if you be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall your descendants be.

³ And he said, I am God, the God of your father: fear not to go down into Egypt; for I will there make of you a great nation:

¹¹ And Joseph placed his father and his brothers, and gave them a possession in the land of Egypt, in the best of the land, in the land of Rameses, as Pharaoh had commanded.

¹¹ Therefore they did set over them taskmasters to afflict them with their burdens. And they built for Pharaoh treasure cities, Pithom and Raamses.

²⁶ A bekah for every man, that is, half a shekel, after the shekel of the sanctuary, for every one that went to be numbered, from twenty years old and upward, for six hundred thousand and three thousand and five hundred and fifty men.

⁴⁶ Even all they that were numbered were six hundred thousand and three thousand and five hundred and fifty.

³² These are those who were numbered of the children of Israel by the house of their fathers: all those that were numbered of the camps according to their armies were six hundred and three thousand and five hundred and fifty.

²¹ And Moses said, The people, among whom I am, are six hundred thousand footmen; and you have said, I will give them flesh, that they may eat a whole month.

⁵¹ These were the numbered of the children of Israel, six hundred thousand and a thousand seven hundred and thirty.

³ And they departed from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month; the next day after the passover the children of Israel went out with boldness in the sight of all the Egyptians.

⁵ And the children of Israel set out from Rameses, and encamped at Succoth.

⁴ And the mixed multitude that was among them had a strong craving: and the children of Israel also wept again, and said, Who shall give us flesh to eat?

²³ Thus says the LORD of hosts; In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold, out of every language of the nations, even shall take hold of the robe of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you.

³¹ And he called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said, Rise up, and go forth from among my people, both you and the children of Israel; and go, serve the LORD, as you have said. ³² Also take your flocks and your herds, as you have said, and be gone; and bless me also. ³³ And the Egyptians were urgent upon the people, that they might send them out of the land in haste; for they said, We are all dead men.

¹ Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get you out of your country, and from your kindred, and from your father's house, unto a land that I will show you: ² And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you, and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing: ³ And I will bless them that bless you, and curse him that curses you: and in you shall all families of the earth be blessed.

¹³ And he said unto Abram, Know of a surety that your descendants shall be sojourners in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years;

⁶ And God spoke in this way, That his descendants should live in a strange land; and that they should bring them into bondage, and ill-treat them for four hundred years.

¹⁷ The God of this people of Israel chose our fathers, and exalted the people when they dwelt as sojourners in the land of Egypt, and with uplifted arm he brought them out of it.

¹⁶ Now to Abraham and his descendant were the promises made. He says not, And to descendants, as of many; but as of one, And to your descendant, who is Christ. ¹⁷ And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before by God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of no effect.

⁹ By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a foreign land, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise:

¹⁰ Come now therefore, and I will send you unto Pharaoh, that you may bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt.

⁴ But Pharaoh shall not hearken unto you, that I may lay my hand upon Egypt, and bring forth my armies, and my people the children of Israel, out of the land of Egypt by great judgments.

⁵¹ And it came to pass the very same day, that the LORD did bring the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt by their hosts.

¹⁴ And he said, Nay; but as captain of the army of the LORD am I now come. And Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and did worship, and said unto him, What says my lord unto his servant?

¹³ You shall arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favor her, yea, the set time, is come.

²⁴ Seventy weeks are determined upon your people and upon your holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

³ For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not delay.

⁸ Go you up unto this feast: I go not up yet unto this feast: for my time is not yet fully come.

⁷ And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father has put in his own power.

¹⁰ You shall therefore keep this ordinance in its season from year to year.

¹⁰ There shall no stranger eat of the holy thing: a sojourner of the priest, or a hired servant, shall not eat of the holy thing.

¹⁴ And if a stranger shall sojourn among you, and will keep the passover unto the LORD; according to the ordinance of the passover, and according to the manner thereof, so shall he do: you shall have one ordinance, both for the stranger, and for him that was born in the land.

¹² That at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:

¹² And he that is eight days old shall be circumcised among you, every male child in your generations, he that is born in the house, or bought with money of any foreigner, who is not of your descendants. ¹³ He that is born in your house, and he that is bought with your money, must needs be circumcised: and my covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant.

²³ And Abraham took Ishmael his son, and all that were born in his house, and all that were bought with his money, every male among the men of Abraham's house; and circumcised the flesh of their foreskins in the same day, as God had said unto him.

¹² They shall leave none of it until the morning, nor break any bone of it: according to all the ordinances of the passover they shall keep it.

²⁰ He keeps all his bones: not one of them is broken.

³³ But when they came to Jesus, and saw that he was dead already, they broke not his legs:

³⁶ For these things were done, that the scripture should be fulfilled, A bone of him shall not be broken.

¹² For as the body is one, and has many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.

¹⁹ Now therefore you are no more strangers and sojourners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God; ²⁰ And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone; ²¹ In whom all the building fitly framed together grows unto a holy temple in the Lord: ²² In whom you also are built together for a habitation of God through the Spirit.

¹² And he that is eight days old shall be circumcised among you, every male child in your generations, he that is born in the house, or bought with money of any foreigner, who is not of your descendants.

¹⁹ Seven days shall there be no leaven found in your houses: for whosoever eats that which is leavened, even that soul shall be cut off from the congregation of Israel, whether he be a stranger, or born in the land.

¹⁵ One ordinance shall be both for you of the congregation, and also for the stranger that sojourns with you, an ordinance forever in your generations: as you are, so shall the stranger be before the LORD. ¹⁶ One law and one manner shall be for you, and for the stranger that sojourns with you.

⁹ Thus says the Lord GOD; No foreigner, uncircumcised in heart, nor uncircumcised in flesh, shall enter into my sanctuary, of any foreigner that is among the children of Israel.

²² And it shall come to pass, that you shall divide it by lot for an inheritance unto you, and to the strangers that sojourn among you, who shall bare children among you: and they shall be unto you as if born in the country among the children of Israel; they shall have inheritance with you among the tribes of Israel.

²⁸ There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

¹¹ Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.

²² You shall have one manner of law, as well for the stranger, as for one of your own country: for I am the LORD your God.

²⁹ You shall have one law for him that sins through ignorance, both for him that is born among the children of Israel, and for the stranger that sojourns among them.

²⁶ These are that Aaron and Moses, to whom the LORD said, Bring out the children of Israel from the land of Egypt according to their armies.

¹ Now therefore hearken, O Israel, unto the statutes and unto the judgments, which I teach you, to do them, that you may live, and go in and possess the land which the LORD God of your fathers gives you. ² You shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall you take away from it, that you may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.

³² Whatsoever thing I command you, observe to do it: you shall not add thereto, nor take away from it.

²⁴ Therefore whosoever hears these sayings of mine, and does them, I will liken him unto a wise man, who built his house upon a rock: ²⁵ And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

²⁰ Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

⁵ His mother said unto the servants, whatsoever he says unto you, do it.

¹⁷ If you know these things, happy are you if you do them.

¹⁴ You are my friends, if you do whatsoever I command you.

¹⁵ For outside are dogs, and sorcerers, and fornicators, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loves and makes a lie.
