²⁸ We reckon therefore that a man is justified by faith apart from the works of the law.

¹⁴ And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up, ¹⁵ that whosoever believeth on him should not perish, but have eternal life. ¹⁶ For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him should not perish, but have eternal life. ¹⁷ For God sent not his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through him. ¹⁸ He that believeth on him is not judged; he that believeth not hath been judged already, because he hath not believed on the name of the only begotten Son of God.

²⁴ Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth him that sent me, hath eternal life, and cometh not into judgment, but hath passed out of death into life.

⁴⁰ For this is the will of him that sent me, that every one that beholdeth the Son, and believeth on him, should have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.

³⁸ Be it known unto you therefore, brethren, that through this man is proclaimed unto you remission of sins: ³⁹ and by him every one that believeth is justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.

²⁰ because by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified in his sight, for through the law cometh the knowledge of sin. ²¹ But now apart from the law a righteousness of God hath been manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets, ²² even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe, for there is no distinction,

²⁶ for the showing, I say, of his righteousness at this present season; that he might himself be just, and the justifier of him that hath faith in Jesus.

⁵ But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is reckoned for righteousness.

¹ Being therefore justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,

³ For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God, sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

¹¹ And such were some of you; but ye were washed, but ye were sanctified, but ye were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and in the Spirit of our God.

¹⁶ yet knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, even we believed on Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ, and not by the works of the law; because by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

⁸ And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel beforehand unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all the nations be blessed.

¹¹ Now that no man is justified by the law before God, is evident; for, The righteous shall live by faith, ¹² and the law is not of faith, but, He that doeth them shall live in them. ¹³ Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us, for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: ¹⁴ that upon the Gentiles might come the blessing of Abraham in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

²⁴ So that the law is become our tutor to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

⁹ not of works, that no man should glory.

⁹ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of mine own, even that which is of the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith:

⁷ that, being justified by his grace, we might be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

²⁴ Ye see then that by works a man is justified, and not only by faith.
