⁷ (89:8) A God dreaded in the great council of the holy ones, and feared of all them that are about Him?

³ Then Moses said unto Aaron: 'This is it that the LORD spoke, saying: Through them that are nigh unto Me I will be sanctified, and before all the people I will be glorified.' And Aaron held his peace.

² Above Him stood the seraphim; each one had six wings: with twain he covered his face and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly. ³ And one called unto another, and said: Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts; the whole earth is full of His glory. ⁴ And the posts of the door were moved at the voice of them that called, and the house was filled with smoke. ⁵ Then said I: Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts. ⁶ Then flew unto me one of the seraphim, with a glowing stone in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar; ⁷ and he touched my mouth with it, and said: Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin expiated.

² For all these things hath My hand made, and so all these things came to be, saith the LORD; but on this man will I look, even on him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at My word.

⁷ Who would not fear Thee, O king of the nations? For it befitteth Thee; forasmuch as among all the wise men of the nations, and in all their royalty, there is none like unto Thee.

¹⁰ But the LORD God is the true God, He is the living God, and the everlasting King; at His wrath the earth trembleth, and the nations are not able to abide His indignation.

²⁸ And fear not them that kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul; but rather fear him who is able to destroy both the soul and the body in hell.

⁴ And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. ⁵ But I will warn you whom ye shall fear; Fear him, who after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell, yea, I say unto you, Fear him.

¹¹ And great fear came upon the whole church, and upon all that heard these things.

²⁸ Wherefore, receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us have grace, whereby we offer service well-pleasing to God with reverence and godly fear: ²⁹ for our God is a consuming fire.

³ And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvelous are thy works, O Lord God, the Almighty, righteous and true are thy ways, thou King of the nations. ⁴ Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy, for all the nations shall come and worship before thee, for thy righteous acts have been made manifest.
