⁸ (39:9) Deliver me from all my transgressions; make me not the reproach of the base.

⁷ And thus said Shimei when he cursed: 'Begone, begone, thou man of blood, and base fellow; ⁸ the LORD hath returned upon thee all the blood of the house of Saul, in whose stead thou hast reigned; and the LORD hath delivered the kingdom into the hand of Absalom thy son; and, behold, thou art taken in thine own mischief, because thou art a man of blood.'

¹⁹ He will again have compassion upon us; He will subdue our iniquities; and Thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.

²¹ And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS, for it is he that shall save his people from their sins.

²³ thou who gloriest in the law, through thy transgression of the law dishonorest thou God? ²⁴ For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you, even as it is written.

¹⁴ who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a people for his own possession, zealous of good works.
