⁵ Let them praise the name of the LORD; for He commanded, and they were created.

¹ In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. ² Now the earth was unformed and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep; and the spirit of God hovered over the face of the waters.

⁶ And God said: 'Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.'

⁶ By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of His mouth. ⁷ He gathereth the waters of the sea together as a heap; He layeth up the deeps in storehouses. ⁸ Let all the earth fear the LORD; let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him. ⁹ For He spoke, and it was; He commanded, and it stood.

⁵ The sea is His, and He made it; and His hands formed the dry land.

¹¹ Thus shall ye say unto them: 'The gods that have not made the heavens and the earth, these shall perish from the earth, and from under the heavens.' ¹² He that hath made the earth by His power, that hath established the world by His wisdom, and hath stretched out the heavens by His understanding; ¹³ At the sound of His giving a multitude of waters in the heavens, when He causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; when He maketh lightnings with the rain, and bringeth forth the wind out of His treasuries;

⁶ It is He that buildeth His upper chambers in the heaven, and hath founded His vault upon the earth; He that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth; The LORD is His name.

¹¹ Worthy art thou, our Lord and our God, the Holy One, to receive the glory and the honor and the power; for thou didst create all things, and because of thy will they are, and were created.
