² How he swore unto the LORD, and vowed unto the Mighty One of Jacob:

²⁴ But his bow abode firm, and the arms of his hands were made supple, by the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, from thence, from the Shepherd, the Stone of Israel,

¹ And it came to pass, when the king dwelt in his house, and the LORD had given him rest from all his enemies round about,

¹⁴ My vows will I pay unto the LORD, yea, in the presence of all His people. ¹⁵ Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of His saints. ¹⁶ I beseech Thee, O LORD, for I am Thy servant; I am Thy servant, the son of Thy handmaid; Thou hast loosed my bands. ¹⁷ I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the LORD. ¹⁸ I will pay my vows unto the LORD, yea, in the presence of all His people;

¹⁰⁶ I have sworn, and have confirmed it, to observe Thy righteous ordinances.

⁵ Until I find out a place for the LORD, a dwelling-place for the Mighty One of Jacob.'

⁵ Happy is he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the LORD his God, ⁶ Who made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is; who keepeth truth for ever;

²⁶ And I will feed them that oppress thee with their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine; and all flesh shall know that I the LORD am thy Saviour, and thy Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.

¹⁶ Thou shalt also suck the milk of the nations, and shalt suck the breast of kings; and thou shalt know that I the LORD am thy Saviour, and I, the Mighty One of Jacob, thy Redeemer.
