⁴ Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice.

¹ (34:1) A Psalm of David; when he changed his demeanour before Abimelech, who drove him away, and he departed. (34:2) I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. ² (34:3) My soul shall glory in the LORD; the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.

¹ A Psalm of praise; of David. I will extol Thee, my God, O King; and I will bless Thy name for ever and ever. ² Every day will I bless Thee; and I will praise Thy name for ever and ever.

² I will praise the LORD while I live; I will sing praises unto my God while I have my being.

¹² Rejoice, and be exceeding glad; for great is your reward in heaven; for so persecuted they the prophets that were before you.

⁴¹ They therefore departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer dishonor for the name of Jesus.

²⁵ But about midnight Paul and Silas praying, were singing hymns unto God, and the prisoners were listening to them,

² through whom also we have had our access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. ³ And not only so, but we also rejoice in our tribulations; knowing that tribulation worketh stedfastness,

¹² rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing stedfastly in prayer,

At the mouth of two witnesses or three shall every word be established. ² I have said beforehand, and I do say beforehand, as when I was present the second time, so now, being absent, I write to them that have sinned heretofore, and to all the rest, that, if I come again, I will not spare,

⁸ But though we, or an angel from heaven, should preach unto you any gospel other than that which we preached unto you, let him be anathema.

¹ Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not irksome, but for you it is safe.

¹⁶ Rejoice always, ¹⁷ pray without ceasing, ¹⁸ in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus to you-ward.

² Count it all joy, my brethren, when ye fall into manifold temptations, ³ Knowing that the proving of your faith worketh patience. ⁴ And let patience have its perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, lacking in nothing.

¹³ but insomuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings, rejoice, that at the revelation of his glory also ye may rejoice with exceeding joy.
