⁴¹ And Moses gave the tribute, which was set apart for the LORD, unto Eleazar the priest, as the LORD commanded Moses.

⁹ And every heave-offering of all the holy things of the children of Israel, which they present unto the priest, shall be his.

⁸ And the LORD spoke unto Aaron: 'And I, behold, I have given thee the charge of My heave-offerings; even of all the hallowed things of the children of Israel unto thee have I given them for a consecrated portion, and to thy sons, as a due for ever.

¹⁹ All the heave-offerings of the holy things, which the children of Israel offer unto the LORD, have I given thee, and thy sons and thy daughters with thee, as a due for ever; it is an everlasting covenant of salt before the LORD unto thee and to thy seed with thee.'

²⁹ take it of their half, and give it unto Eleazar the priest, as a portion set apart for the LORD. ³⁰ And of the children of Israel's half, thou shalt take one drawn out of every fifty, of the persons, of the beeves, of the asses, and of the flocks, even of all the cattle, and give them unto the Levites, that keep the charge of the tabernacle of the LORD.' ³¹ And Moses and Eleazar the priest did as the LORD commanded Moses.

⁶ But let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things.

¹⁷ Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in the word and in teaching.

⁴ Now consider how great this man was, unto whom even Abraham, the patriarch, gave a tenth out of the chief spoils. ⁵ And they indeed of the sons of Levi that receive the priest's office have commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though these have come out of the loins of Abraham: ⁶ but he whose genealogy is not counted from them hath taken tithes of Abraham, and hath blessed him that hath the promises.

⁹ And, so to say, through Abraham even Levi, who receiveth tithes, hath paid tithes, ¹⁰ for he was yet in the loins of his father, when Melchizedek met him. ¹¹ Now if there was perfection through the Levitical priesthood (for under it the people received the law), what further need was there that another priest should arise after the order of Melchizedek, and not be reckoned after the order of Aaron? ¹² For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.
