⁵ Then sent Sanballat his servant unto me in like manner the fifth time with an open letter in his hand;

²⁶ Then said Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, and Shebnah, and Joah, unto Rab-shakeh: 'Speak, I pray thee, to thy servants in the Aramean language; for we understand it; and speak not with us in the Jews' language, in the ears of the people that are on the wall.' ²⁷ But Rab-shakeh said unto them: 'Hath my master sent me to thy master, and to thee, to speak these words? hath he not sent me to the men that sit on the wall, to eat their own dung, and to drink their own water with you?' ²⁸ Then Rab-shakeh stood, and cried with a loud voice in the Jews' language, and spoke, saying: 'Hear ye the word of the great king, the king of Assyria.

¹¹ that no advantage may be gained over us by Satan; for we are not ignorant of his devices.

¹³ For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, fashioning themselves into apostles of Christ. ¹⁴ And no marvel, for even Satan fashioneth himself into an angel of light. ¹⁵ It is no great thing therefore if his ministers also fashion themselves as ministers of righteousness, whose end shall be according to their works.

¹¹ Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

¹⁰ and with all deceit of unrighteousness for them that perish, because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
