¹¹ But when they lead you to judgment, and deliver you up, be not anxious beforehand what ye shall speak; but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye, for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Spirit.

¹⁰ And Moses said unto the LORD: 'Oh Lord, I am not a man of words, neither heretofore, nor since Thou hast spoken unto Thy servant; for I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue.' ¹¹ And the LORD said unto him: 'Who hath made man's mouth? or who maketh a man dumb, or deaf, or seeing, or blind? is it not I the LORD? ¹² Now therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt speak.'

² The spirit of the LORD spoke by me, and His word was upon my tongue.

⁴ The Lord GOD hath given me the tongue of them that are taught, that I should know how to sustain with words him that is weary; He wakeneth morning by morning, He wakeneth mine ear to hear as they that are taught.

⁶ Then said I: 'Ah, Lord GOD! behold, I cannot speak; for I am a child.' ⁷ But the LORD said unto me: say not: I am a child; for to whomsoever I shall send thee thou shalt go, and whatsoever I shall command thee thou shalt speak. ⁸ Be not afraid of them; for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the LORD. ⁹ Then the LORD put forth His hand, and touched my mouth; and the LORD said unto me: Behold, I have put My words in thy mouth;

¹⁶ Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, answered and said to the king: 'O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer thee in this matter. ¹⁷ If our God whom we serve is able to deliver us, He will deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and out of thy hand, O king. ¹⁸ But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.'

¹⁷ But beware of men; for they will deliver you up to councils, and in theirs synagogues they will scourge you,

¹⁹ But when they deliver you up, be not anxious how or what ye shall speak; for it shall be given you in that hour what ye shall speak. ²⁰ For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father that speaketh in you. ²¹ And brother shall deliver up brother to death, and the father his child; and children shall rise up against parents, and cause them to be put to death.

⁹ But take ye heed to yourselves; for they shall deliver you up to councils, and in synagogues shall ye be beaten, and before governors and kings shall ye stand for my sake, for a testimony unto them.

¹¹ And when they bring you before the synagogues, and the rulers, and the authorities, be not anxious how or what ye shall answer, or what ye shall say; ¹² for the Holy Spirit shall teach you in that very hour what ye ought to say.

¹⁴ Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate beforehand how to answer; ¹⁵ for I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to withstand or to gainsay.

²⁷ John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it have been given him from heaven.

⁴ And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

¹³ The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Servant Jesus, whom ye delivered up, and denied before the face of Pilate, when he had determined to release him.

⁸ Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel, ⁹ if we this day are examined concerning a good deed done to an impotent man, by what means this man is made whole, ¹⁰ be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even in him doth this man stand here before you whole. ¹¹ He is the stone which was set at nought of you the builders, which was made the head of the corner. ¹² And in none other is there salvation; for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, wherein we must be saved. ¹³ Now when they beheld the boldness of Peter and John, and had perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marveled, and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus. ¹⁴ And seeing the man that was healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it. ¹⁵ But when they had commanded them to go aside out of the council, they conferred among themselves, ¹⁶ saying, What shall we do to these men? for that indeed a notable miracle hath been wrought through them, is manifest to all that dwell in Jerusalem, and we cannot deny it. ¹⁷ But that it spread no further among the people, let us threaten them with a threat, that they speak henceforth to no man in this name. ¹⁸ And they called them, and charged them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus. ¹⁹ But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it is right in the sight of God to hearken unto you rather than unto God, judge ye: ²⁰ for we cannot but speak the things which we saw and heard. ²¹ And they, when they had further threatened them, let them go, finding nothing how they might punish them, because of the people, for all men glorified God for that which was done. ²² For the man was more than forty years old, on whom this miracle of healing was wrought.

³¹ And when they had prayed, the place was shaken wherein they were gathered together, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

¹⁰ And they were not able to withstand the wisdom and the Spirit by which he spake.

¹⁵ And all that sat in the council, fastening their eyes on him, saw his face as it had been the face of an angel.

⁵⁵ But he, being full of the Holy Spirit, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,

¹³ Which things also we speak, not in words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Spirit teacheth, combining spiritual things with spiritual words.

⁵ which in other generations was not made known unto the sons of men, as it hath now been revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets in the Spirit,

¹⁹ and on my behalf, that utterance may be given unto me in opening my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel, ²⁰ for which I am an ambassador in chains, that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

⁵ But if any of you lacketh wisdom, let him ask of God, who giveth to all liberally and upbraideth not, and it shall be given him.

¹² To whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto you, did they minister these things, which now have been announced unto you through them that preached the gospel unto you by the Holy Spirit sent forth from heaven, which things angel desire to look into.
