³⁷ But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they beheld a spirit.

¹³ And the king said unto her: 'Be not afraid; for what seest thou?' And the woman said unto Saul: 'I see a godlike being coming up out of the earth.'

¹⁴ Fear came upon me, and trembling, and all my bones were made to shake. ¹⁵ Then a spirit passed before my face, that made the hair of my flesh to stand up. ¹⁶ It stood still, but I could not discern the appearance thereof; a form was before mine eyes; I heard a still voice:

²⁶ And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a ghost, and they cried out for fear. ²⁷ But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying Be of good cheer, it is I, be not afraid.

⁴⁹ but they, when they saw him walking on the sea, supposed it to be a ghost, and cried out, ⁵⁰ for they all saw him, and were troubled. And he straightway spake with them, and saith unto them, Be of good cheer; it is I, be not afraid.

³⁰ And he said, Nay, father Abraham; but if one go to them from the dead, they will repent.

¹⁵ And they said unto her, Thou art mad. But she confidently affirmed that it was even so. And they said, It is his angel.
