¹⁶ The law and the prophets were until John; from that time the gospel of the kingdom of God is preached, and every man entereth violently into it.

² and saying, Repent ye, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

²³ And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of disease and all manner of sickness among the people.

⁹ But wherefore went ye out? to see a prophet? Yea, I say unto you, and much more than a prophet. ¹⁰ For this is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, Who shall prepare thy way before thee. ¹¹ Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not arisen a greater than John the Baptist; yet he that is but little in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. ¹² And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and men of violence take it by force. ¹³ For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John. ¹⁴ And if ye are willing to receive it, this is Elijah, that is to come.

³² For John came unto you in the way of righteousness, and ye believed him not, but the publicans and the harlots believed him; and ye, when ye saw it, did not even repent yourselves afterward, that ye might believe him.

¹⁴ Now after John was delivered up, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,

⁴⁵ But he went out, and began to publish it much, and to spread abroad the matter, insomuch that Jesus could no more openly enter into a city, but was without in desert places; and they came to him from every quarter.

²⁶ But what went ye out to see? a prophet? Yea, I say unto you, and much more than a prophet. ²⁷ This is he of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, Who shall prepare thy way before thee. ²⁸ I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there is none greater than John the Baptist; yet he that is but little in the kingdom of God is greater than he. ²⁹ And all the people when they heard, and the publicans, justified God, being baptized with the baptism of John.

² And he sent them forth to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.

⁹ and heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.

¹¹ Even the dust from your city, that cleaveth to us, we wipe off against you; nevertheless know this, that the kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.

²⁹ But Abraham saith, They have Moses and the prophets, let them hear them.

³¹ And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, if one rise from the dead.
