⁶ And the LORD said unto Joshua: 'Be not afraid because of them; for to-morrow at this time will I deliver them up all slain before Israel; thou shalt hough their horses, and burn their chariots with fire.'

¹⁶ And thou shalt consume all the peoples that the LORD thy God shall deliver unto thee; thine eye shall not pity them; neither shalt thou serve their gods; for that will be a snare unto thee.

⁵ And Joshua said unto the people: 'Sanctify yourselves; for to-morrow the LORD will do wonders among you.'

⁸ And the LORD said unto Joshua: 'Fear them not; for I have delivered them into thy hand; there shall not a man of them stand against thee.'

⁹ And Joshua did unto them as the LORD bade him; he houghed their horses, and burnt their chariots with fire.
