¹⁰ 'Speak unto the children of Israel, saying: If any man of you or of your generations shall be unclean by reason of a dead body, or be in a journey afar off, yet he shall keep the passover unto the LORD; ¹¹ in the second month on the fourteenth day at dusk they shall keep it; they shall eat it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs; ¹² they shall leave none of it unto the morning, nor break a bone thereof; according to all the statute of the passover they shall keep it. ¹³ But the man that is clean, and is not on a journey, and forbeareth to keep the passover, that soul shall be cut off from his people; because he brought not the offering of the LORD in its appointed season, that man shall bear his sin.

² Examine me, O LORD, and try me; test my reins and my heart. ³ For Thy mercy is before mine eyes; and I have walked in Thy truth. ⁴ I have not sat with men of falsehood; neither will I go in with dissemblers. ⁵ I hate the gathering of evil doers, and will not sit with the wicked. ⁶ I will wash my hands in innocency; so will I compass Thine altar, O LORD, ⁷ That I may make the voice of thanksgiving to be heard, and tell of all Thy wondrous works.

²³ If therefore thou art offering thy gift at the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath aught against thee, ²⁴ leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way, first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.

³¹ But if we discerned ourselves, we should not be judged.

⁵ Try your own selves, whether ye are in the faith, prove your own selves. Or know ye not as to your own selves, that Jesus Christ is in you? unless indeed ye be reprobate.

⁴ But let each man prove his own work, and then shall he have his glorying in regard of himself alone, and not of his neighbor.
