¹⁶⁵ Great peace belongs to those who love your instruction, and nothing makes them stumble.

¹ The Blessings of Trusting God My son, don’t forget my instruction, and keep my commandments carefully in mind. ² For they will add length to your days, years to your life, and abundant peace to you.

¹⁷ Her ways are pleasant ways, and all her paths are peaceful.

²³ Then you will travel safely on your way, and your foot will not stumble.

¹³ The LORD of the Heavenly Armies— he’s the one you are to regard as holy. Let him be the one whom you fear, and let him be the one before whom you stand in terror! ¹⁴ Then he will be a sanctuary, but for both houses of Israel he’ll also be a stone with which someone strikes himself, a rock one stumbles over, a trap and a snare to those who live in Jerusalem. ¹⁵ Many will stumble on them; They’ll fall and be broken; They’ll be snared and captured.

³ You will keep perfectly peaceful the one whose mind remains focused on you, because he remains in you.

¹³ So, then, the message from the LORD to them will become: “Do this and do that, do this and do that, line upon line, line upon line, a little here, a little there,” so that they will go, but fall backward, and be injured, snared, and captured.

¹⁷ The effect of righteousness will be peace, and the result of righteousness will be quietness and confidence forever.

¹⁴ And one has said: ‘Build up! Build up the road! Prepare the highway! Remove every obstacle from my people’s way.’

²¹ “Yet there is no peace,” says my God, “for the wicked.”

²¹ but since he doesn’t have any root in himself, he lasts for only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes along because of the word, he immediately falls away.

²⁴ because false messiahs and false prophets will appear and display great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.

²⁷ I’m leaving you at peace. I’m giving you my own peace. I’m not giving it to you as the world gives. So don’t let your hearts be troubled, and don’t be afraid.

²² But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, ²³ gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against such things.

¹⁵ For neither circumcision nor uncircumcision matters. Rather, what matters is being a new creation. ¹⁶ Now may peace be on all those who live by this principle, and may mercy be on the Israel of God.

⁷ Then God’s peace, which goes far beyond anything we can imagine, will guard your hearts and minds in union with the Messiah Jesus.

⁶ This is why it says in Scripture: “Look! I am laying a chosen, precious cornerstone in Zion. The one who believes in him will never be ashamed.” ⁷ Therefore he is precious to you who believe, but to those who do not believe, “The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone, ⁸ a stone they stumble over and a rock they trip on.”They keep on stumbling because they disobey the word, as they were destined to do.

¹⁰ The person who loves his brother abides in the light, and there is no reason for him to stumble.
