² “Son of Man, look toward Jerusalem, preach against its sanctuaries, and prophesy against Israel’s land.

² May my instructions descend like rain and may my words flow like dew, as light rain upon the grass, and as showers upon new plants.

¹¹ The priests and prophets told the officials and all the people, “A death sentence for this man, because he prophesied against this city, as you heard with your own ears!”
¹² Then Jeremiah spoke to all the officials and to all the people: “The LORD has sent me to prophesy all the things you heard against this house and against this city.

³ Then you are to take a flat, iron plate and set it up as an iron wall between you and the city.
“Next, you are to turn toward it, oppose it, and place it under siege, because you are to lay siege to it. All of this will serve as a sign to the house of Israel.

⁷ After this, you are to turn toward the rampart of Jerusalem and oppose it with your bare arms, because I’m going to prophesy about it.

² “Son of Man,” he said, “turn your face to oppose the mountains of Israel and prophesy against them.

¹ Prophecy to Israel’s Mountains“Now as for you, Son of Man, prophesy to Israel’s mountains and tell them, ‘Listen to this message from the LORD, you mountains of Israel:

² “Son of Man, turn your attention toward Gog, from the land of Magog, leader of the head of Meshech, and of Tubal. Prophesy this against him:

¹⁶ “Very well then, hear this message from the LORD: ‘You are saying, “Don’t prophesy against Israel, and don’t preach against the house of Isaac.”

⁶ To those who speak out, they will declare, ‘Don’t prophesy to anyone!’ so their shame won’t go away.

¹¹ Suppose a man who keeps company with a deceiving spirit prophesies like this: ‘Drink wine and strong drink!’ Won’t the people accept him as a prophet?”

¹³ They had false witnesses stand up and say, “This man never stops saying things against this Holy Place and against the Law. ¹⁴ For we have heard him say that this Jesus from Nazareth will destroy this place and change the customs that Moses handed down to us.”

¹⁹ Pray also for me, so that, when I begin to speak, the right words will come to me. Then I will boldly make known the secret of the gospel,
