  3 H3651 לכן Therefore H5414 יתנם will he give them up, H5704 עד until H6256 עת the time H3205 יולדה she which travaileth H3205 ילדה hath brought forth: H3499 ויתר then the remnant H251 אחיו of his brethren H7725 ישׁובון shall return H5921 על unto H1121 בני the children H3478 ישׂראל׃ of Israel.

  4 H5975 ועמד And he shall stand H7462 ורעה and feed H5797 בעז in the strength H3069 יהוה   H1347 בגאון in the majesty H8034 שׁם of the name H3069 יהוה   H430 אלהיו his God; H3427 וישׁבו and they shall abide: H3588 כי for H6258 עתה now H1431 יגדל shall he be great H5704 עד unto H657 אפסי the ends H776 ארץ׃ of the earth.

  5 H1961 והיה shall be H2088 זה And this H7965 שׁלום the peace, H804 אשׁור the Assyrian H3588 כי when H935 יבוא shall come H776 בארצנו into our land: H3588 וכי and when H1869 ידרך he shall tread H759 בארמנתינו in our palaces, H6965 והקמנו then shall we raise H5921 עליו against H7651 שׁבעה him seven H7462 רעים shepherds, H8083 ושׁמנה and eight H5257 נסיכי principal H120 אדם׃ men.

  6 H7489 ורעו And they shall waste H853 את   H776 ארץ the land H804 אשׁור of Assyria H2719 בחרב with the sword, H853 ואת   H776 ארץ and the land H5248 נמרד of Nimrod H6607 בפתחיה in the entrances H5337 והציל thereof: thus shall he deliver H804 מאשׁור the Assyrian, H3588 כי when H935 יבוא he cometh H776 בארצנו into our land, H3588 וכי and when H1869 ידרך he treadeth H1366 בגבולנו׃ within our borders.

  7 H1961 והיה shall be H7611 שׁארית And the remnant H3290 יעקב of Jacob H7130 בקרב in the midst H5971 עמים people H7227 רבים of many H2919 כטל as a dew H853 מאת   H3068 יהוה the LORD, H7241 כרביבים as the showers H5921 עלי upon H6212 עשׂב the grass, H834 אשׁר that H3808 לא not H6960 יקוה tarrieth H376 לאישׁ for man, H3808 ולא nor H3176 ייחל waiteth H1121 לבני for the sons H120 אדם׃ of men.

  8 H1961 והיה shall be H7611 שׁארית And the remnant H3290 יעקב of Jacob H1471 בגוים among the Gentiles H7130 בקרב in the midst H5971 עמים people H7227 רבים of many H738 כאריה as a lion H929 בבהמות among the beasts H3293 יער of the forest, H3715 ככפיר as a young lion H5739 בעדרי among the flocks H6629 צאן of sheep: H834 אשׁר who, H518 אם if H5674 עבר he go through, H7429 ורמס both treadeth down, H2963 וטרף and teareth in pieces, H369 ואין and none H5337 מציל׃ can deliver.

  9 H7311 תרם shall be lifted up H3027 ידך Thine hand H5921 על upon H6862 צריך thine adversaries, H3605 וכל and all H341 איביך thine enemies H3772 יכרתו׃ shall be cut off.

  10 H1961 והיה And it shall come to pass H3117 ביום day, H1931 ההוא in that H5002 נאם saith H3068 יהוה the LORD, H3772 והכרתי that I will cut off H5483 סוסיך thy horses H7130 מקרבך out of the midst H6 והאבדתי of thee, and I will destroy H4818 מרכבתיך׃ thy chariots:

  11 H3772 והכרתי And I will cut off H5892 ערי the cities H776 ארצך of thy land, H2040 והרסתי and throw down H3605 כל all H4013 מבצריך׃ thy strongholds:

  12 H3772 והכרתי And I will cut off H3785 כשׁפים witchcrafts H3027 מידך out of thine hand; H6049 ומעוננים soothsayers: H3808 לא no H1961 יהיו׃ and thou shalt have

  13 H3772 והכרתי also will I cut off, H6456 פסיליך Thy graven images H4676 ומצבותיך and thy standing images H7130 מקרבך out of the midst H3808 ולא of thee; and thou shalt no H7812 תשׁתחוה worship H5750 עוד more H4639 למעשׂה the work H3027 ידיך׃ of thine hands.

  14 H5428 ונתשׁתי And I will pluck up H842 אשׁיריך thy groves H7130 מקרבך out of the midst H8045 והשׁמדתי of thee: so will I destroy H5892 עריך׃ thy cities.

  15 H6213 ועשׂיתי And I will execute H639 באף in anger H2534 ובחמה and fury H5359 נקם vengeance H853 את   H1471 הגוים upon the heathen, H834 אשׁר such as H3808 לא they have not H8085 שׁמעו׃ heard.

  49 H5375 ישׂא shall bring H3068 יהוה The LORD H5921 עליך against H1471 גוי a nation H7350 מרחק thee from far, H7097 מקצה from the end H776 הארץ of the earth, H834 כאשׁר as H1675 ידאה flieth; H5404 הנשׁר the eagle H1471 גוי a nation H834 אשׁר whose H3808 לא thou shalt not H8085 תשׁמע understand; H3956 לשׁנו׃ tongue

  53 H398 ואכלת And thou shalt eat H6529 פרי the fruit H990 בטנך of thine own body, H1320 בשׂר the flesh H1121 בניך of thy sons H1323 ובנתיך and of thy daughters, H834 אשׁר which H5414 נתן hath given H3068 לך יהוה the LORD H430 אלהיך thy God H4692 במצור thee, in the siege, H4689 ובמצוק and in the straitness, H834 אשׁר wherewith H6693 יציק shall distress H341 לך איבך׃ thine enemies

  54 H376 האישׁ the man H7390 הרך tender H6028 בך והענג delicate, H3966 מאד among you, and very H7489 תרע shall be evil H5869 עינו his eye H251 באחיו toward his brother, H802 ובאשׁת and toward the wife H2436 חיקו of his bosom, H3499 וביתר and toward the remnant H1121 בניו of his children H834 אשׁר which H3498 יותיר׃ he shall leave:

  55 H5414 מתת   H259 לאחד to any H1992 מהם   H1320 מבשׂר them of the flesh H1121 בניו of his children H834 אשׁר whom H398 יאכל he shall eat: H1097 מבלי because H7604 השׁאיר left H3605 לו כל he hath nothing H4692 במצור him in the siege, H4689 ובמצוק and in the straitness, H834 אשׁר wherewith H6693 יציק shall distress H341 לך איבך thine enemies H3605 בכל thee in all H8179 שׁעריך׃ thy gates.

  56 H7390 הרכה The tender H6028 בך והענגה and delicate woman H834 אשׁר among you, which H3808 לא would not H5254 נסתה adventure H3709 כף the sole H7272 רגלה of her foot H3322 הצג to set H5921 על upon H776 הארץ the ground H6026 מהתענג for delicateness H7391 ומרך and tenderness, H7489 תרע shall be evil H5869 עינה her eye H376 באישׁ toward the husband H2436 חיקה of her bosom, H1121 ובבנה and toward her son, H1323 ובבתה׃ and toward her daughter,

  57 H7988 ובשׁליתה And toward her young one H3318 היוצת that cometh out H996 מבין from between H7272 רגליה her feet, H1121 ובבניה and toward her children H834 אשׁר which H3205 תלד she shall bear: H3588 כי for H398 תאכלם she shall eat H2640 בחסר them for want H3605 כל of all H5643 בסתר secretly H4692 במצור in the siege H4689 ובמצוק and straitness, H834 אשׁר wherewith H6693 יציק shall distress H341 לך איבך thine enemy H8179 בשׁעריך׃ thee in thy gates.

  5 H559 ויאמרו And said H413 אליו unto H2009 הנה him, Behold, H859 אתה thou H2204 זקנת art old, H1121 ובניך and thy sons H3808 לא not H1980 הלכו walk H1870 בדרכיך in thy ways: H6258 עתה now H7760 שׂימה make H4428 לנו מלך us a king H8199 לשׁפטנו to judge H3605 ככל us like all H1471 הגוים׃ the nations.

  6 H7489 וירע   H1697 הדבר But the thing H5869 בעיני displeased H8050 שׁמואל Samuel, H834 כאשׁר when H559 אמרו they said, H5414 תנה Give H4428 לנו מלך us a king H8199 לשׁפטנו to judge H6419 ויתפלל prayed H8050 שׁמואל us. And Samuel H413 אל unto H3068 יהוה׃ the LORD.

  24 H5066 ויגשׁ went near, H6667 צדקיהו But Zedekiah H1121 בן the son H3668 כנענה of Chenaanah H5221 ויכה and smote H853 את   H4321 מיכיהו Micaiah H5921 על on H3895 הלחי the cheek, H559 ויאמר and said, H335 אי Which H2088 זה way H5674 עבר went H7307 רוח the Spirit H3068 יהוה of the LORD H853 מאתי   H1696 לדבר me to speak H854 אותך׃ from

  2 H7971 וישׁלח sent H3068 יהוה And the LORD H853 בו את   H1416 גדודי against him bands H3778 כשׂדים of the Chaldees, H853 ואת   H1416 גדודי and bands H758 ארם of the Syrians, H853 ואת   H1416 גדודי and bands H4124 מואב of the Moabites, H853 ואת   H1416 גדודי and bands H1121 בני of the children H5983 עמון of Ammon, H7971 וישׁלחם and sent H3063 ביהודה them against Judah H6 להאבידו to destroy H1697 כדבר it, according to the word H3068 יהוה of the LORD, H834 אשׁר which H1696 דבר he spoke H3027 ביד by H5650 עבדיו his servants H5030 הנביאים׃ the prophets.

  1 H1961 ויהי And it came to pass H8141 בשׁנת year H8671 התשׁיעית in the ninth H4427 למלכו of his reign, H2320 בחדשׁ month, H6224 העשׂירי in the tenth H6218 בעשׂור in the tenth H2320 לחדשׁ of the month, H935 בא came, H5019 נבכדנאצר Nebuchadnezzar H4428 מלך king H894 בבל of Babylon H1931 הוא he, H3605 וכל and all H2428 חילו his host, H5921 על against H3389 ירושׁלם Jerusalem, H2583 ויחן and pitched H5921 עליה against H1129 ויבנו it; and they built H5921 עליה against H1785 דיק forts H5439 סביב׃ it round about.

  2 H935 ותבא was besieged H5892 העיר And the city H4692 במצור was besieged H5704 עד unto H6249 עשׁתי the eleventh H6240 עשׂרה the eleventh H8141 שׁנה year H4428 למלך of king H6667 צדקיהו׃ Zedekiah.

  3 H8672 בתשׁעה And on the ninth H2320 לחדשׁ of the month H2388 ויחזק prevailed H7458 הרעב the famine H5892 בעיר in the city, H3808 ולא no H1961 היה and there was H3899 לחם bread H5971 לעם for the people H776 הארץ׃ of the land.

  10 H6473 פערו They have gaped H5921 עלי upon H6310 בפיהם me with their mouth; H2781 בחרפה reproachfully; H5221 הכו they have smitten H3895 לחיי me upon the cheek H3162 יחד together H5921 עלי against H4390 יתמלאון׃ they have gathered themselves

  9 H7489 רעו Associate H5971 עמים yourselves, O ye people, H2865 וחתו   H238 והאזינו in pieces; and give ear, H3605 כל all H4801 מרחקי ye of far H776 ארץ countries: H247 התאזרו gird yourselves, H2865 וחתו   H247 התאזרו in pieces; gird yourselves, H2865 וחתו׃  

  6 H1471 בגוי nation, H2611 חנף him against a hypocritical H7971 אשׁלחנו I will send H5921 ועל and against H5971 עם the people H5678 עברתי of my wrath H6680 אצונו will I give him a charge, H7997 לשׁלל to take H7998 שׁלל the spoil, H962 ולבז and to take H957 בז the prey, H7760 ולשׂימו   H4823 מרמס and to tread them down H2563 כחמר like the mire H2351 חוצות׃ of the streets.

  22 H3588 כי For H3068 יהוה the LORD H8199 שׁפטנו our judge, H3068 יהוה the LORD H2710 מחקקנו our lawgiver, H3068 יהוה the LORD H4428 מלכנו our king; H1931 הוא he H3467 יושׁיענו׃ will save

  7 H5927 עלה is come up H738 אריה The lion H5441 מסבכו from his thicket, H7843 ומשׁחית and the destroyer H1471 גוים of the Gentiles H5265 נסע is on his way; H3318 יצא he is gone forth H4725 ממקמו from his place H7760 לשׂום to make H776 ארצך thy land H8047 לשׁמה desolate; H5892 עריך thy cities H5327 תצינה shall be laid waste, H369 מאין without H3427 יושׁב׃ an inhabitant.

  9 H2005 הנני   H7971 שׁלח I will send H3947 ולקחתי and take H853 את   H3605 כל all H4940 משׁפחות the families H6828 צפון of the north, H5002 נאם saith H3068 יהוה the LORD, H413 ואל   H5019 נבוכדראצר and Nebuchadnezzar H4428 מלך the king H894 בבל of Babylon, H5650 עבדי my servant, H935 והבאתים and will bring H5921 על them against H776 הארץ land, H2063 הזאת this H5921 ועל and against H3427 ישׁביה the inhabitants H5921 ועל thereof, and against H3605 כל all H1471 הגוים nations H428 האלה these H5439 סביב round about, H2763 והחרמתים and will utterly destroy H7760 ושׂמתים them, and make H8047 לשׁמה them an astonishment, H8322 ולשׁרקה and a hissing, H2723 ולחרבות desolations. H5769 עולם׃ and perpetual

  30 H5414 יתן He giveth H5221 למכהו to him that smiteth H3895 לחי cheek H7646 ישׂבע him: he is filled full H2781 בחרפה׃ with reproach.

  21 H3588 כי For H5975 עמד stood H4428 מלך the king H894 בבל of Babylon H413 אל at H517 אם the parting H1870 הדרך of the way, H7218 בראשׁ at the head H8147 שׁני of the two H1870 הדרכים ways, H7080 לקסם to use H7081 קסם divination: H7043 קלקל he made arrows bright, H2671 בחצים he made arrows bright, H7592 שׁאל he consulted H8655 בתרפים with images, H7200 ראה he looked H3516 בכבד׃ in the liver.

  22 H3225 בימינו At his right hand H1961 היה was H7081 הקסם the divination H3389 ירושׁלם for Jerusalem, H7760 לשׂום to appoint H3733 כרים captains, H6605 לפתח to open H6310 פה the mouth H7524 ברצח in the slaughter, H7311 להרים to lift up H6963 קול the voice H8643 בתרועה with shouting, H7760 לשׂום to appoint H3733 כרים rams H5921 על against H8179 שׁערים the gates, H8210 לשׁפך to cast H5550 סללה a mount, H1129 לבנות to build H1785 דיק׃ a fort.

  2 H1121 בן Son H120 אדם of man, H3789 כתוב write H3789 לך   H853 את   H8034 שׁם thee the name H3117 היום of the day, H853 את   H6106 עצם same H3117 היום day: H2088 הזה of this H5564 סמך set H4428 מלך the king H894 בבל of Babylon H413 אל himself against H3389 ירושׁלם Jerusalem H6106 בעצם same H3117 היום day.   9 H7121 קראו Proclaim H2063 זאת ye this H1471 בגוים among the Gentiles; H6942 קדשׁו Prepare H4421 מלחמה war, H5782 העירו wake up H1368 הגבורים the mighty men, H5066 יגשׁו draw near; H5927 יעלו let them come up: H3605 כל let all H582 אנשׁי   H4421 המלחמה׃ of war

  3 H3772 והכרתי And I will cut off H8199 שׁופט the judge H7130 מקרבה from the midst H3605 וכל all H8269 שׂריה the princes H2026 אהרוג thereof, and will slay H5973 עמו thereof with H559 אמר him, saith H3068 יהוה׃ the LORD.

  6 H3588 כי For, H2005 הנני   H6965 מקים I raise up H853 את   H3778 הכשׂדים the Chaldeans, H1471 הגוי nation, H4751 המר bitter H4116 והנמהר and hasty H1980 ההולך which shall march H4800 למרחבי through the breadth H776 ארץ of the land, H3423 לרשׁת to possess H4908 משׁכנות the dwelling places H3808 לא׃ not

  16 H8085 שׁמעתי When I heard, H7264 ותרגז trembled; H990 בטני my belly H6963 לקול at the voice: H6750 צללו quivered H8193 שׂפתי my lips H935 יבוא entered H7538 רקב rottenness H6106 בעצמי into my bones, H8478 ותחתי in H7264 ארגז and I trembled H834 אשׁר myself, that H5117 אנוח I might rest H3117 ליום in the day H6869 צרה of trouble: H5927 לעלות when he cometh up H5971 לעם unto the people, H1464 יגודנו׃ he will invade

  19 H4191 ותמת died, H7354 רחל And Rachel H6912 ותקבר and was buried H1870 בדרך in the way H672 אפרתה to Ephrath, H1931 הוא which H1035 בית לחם׃ Bethlehem.

  7 H589 ואני And as for me, H935 בבאי when I came H6307 מפדן   H4191 מתה died H5921 עלי by H7354 רחל Rachel H776 בארץ me in the land H3667 כנען of Canaan H1870 בדרך in the way, H5750 בעוד when yet H3530 כברת but a little H776 ארץ way H935 לבא to come H672 אפרתה unto Ephrath: H6912 ואקברה and I buried H8033 שׁם her there H1870 בדרך in the way H672 אפרת of Ephrath; H1931 הוא the same H1035 בית לחם׃ Bethlehem.

  10 H3808 לא shall not H5493 יסור depart H7626 שׁבט The scepter H3063 מיהודה   H2710 ומחקק nor a lawgiver H996 מבין from between H7272 רגליו his feet, H5704 עד until H3588 כי until H935 יבא come; H7886 שׁילה Shiloh H3349 ולו יקהת and unto him the gathering H5971 עמים׃ of the people

  21 H859 ואתה Moreover thou H2372 תחזה shalt provide H3605 מכל out of all H5971 העם the people H376 אנשׁי men, H2428 חיל able H3373 יראי such as fear H430 אלהים God, H376 אנשׁי men H571 אמת of truth, H8130 שׂנאי hating H1215 בצע covetousness; H7760 ושׂמת and place H5921 עלהם over H8269 שׂרי them, rulers H505 אלפים of thousands, H8269 שׂרי rulers H3967 מאות of hundreds, H8269 שׂרי rulers H2572 חמשׁים of fifties, H8269 ושׂרי and rulers H6235 עשׂרת׃ of tens:

  11 H559 ויאמרו said, H3605 כל And all H5971 העם the people H834 אשׁר that H8179 בשׁער in the gate, H2205 והזקנים and the elders, H5707 עדים witnesses.   12 H7760 ולשׂום And he will appoint H8269 לו שׂרי him captains H505 אלפים over thousands, H8269 ושׂרי and captains H2572 חמשׁים over fifties; H2790 ולחרשׁ and to ear H2758 חרישׁו his ground, H7114 ולקצר and to reap H7105 קצירו his harvest, H6213 ולעשׂות and to make H3627 כלי his instruments H4421 מלחמתו of war, H3627 וכלי and instruments H7393 רכבו׃ of his chariots.

  19 H859 ואתם And ye H3117 היום have this day H3988 מאסתם rejected H853 את   H430 אלהיכם your God, H834 אשׁר who H1931 הוא himself H3467 מושׁיע saved H3605 לכם מכל you out of all H7451 רעותיכם your adversities H6869 וצרתיכם and your tribulations; H559 ותאמרו and ye have said H3588 לו כי unto him, but H4428 מלך a king H7760 תשׂים set H5921 עלינו over H6258 ועתה us. Now H3320 התיצבו therefore present yourselves H6440 לפני before H3068 יהוה the LORD H7626 לשׁבטיכם by your tribes, H505 ולאלפיכם׃ and by your thousands.

  12 H1732 ודוד Now David H1121 בן the son H376 אישׁ and the man H673 אפרתי   H2088 הזה of that H1035 מבית לחם   H3063 יהודה   H8034 ושׁמו whose name H3448 ישׁי Jesse; H8083 ולו שׁמנה and he had eight H1121 בנים sons: H376 והאישׁ among men H3117 בימי man in the days H7586 שׁאול of Saul. H2204 זקן an old H935 בא went H376 באנשׁים׃  

  18 H853 ואת   H6235 עשׂרת ten H2757 חרצי cheeses H2461 החלב cheeses H428 האלה these H935 תביא And carry H8269 לשׂר unto the captain H505 האלף of thousand, H853 ואת   H251 אחיך thy brethren H6485 תפקד and look how H7965 לשׁלום fare, H853 ואת   H6161 ערבתם their pledge. H3947 תקח׃ and take

  23 H7200 וראו See H3045 ודעו therefore, and take knowledge H3605 מכל of all H4224 המחבאים the lurking places H834 אשׁר where H2244 יתחבא he hideth himself, H8033 שׁם   H7725 ושׁבתם and come ye again H413 אלי to H413 אל me with H3559 נכון the certainty, H1980 והלכתי and I will go H854 אתכם with H1961 והיה you: and it shall come to pass, H518 אם if H3426 ישׁנו he be H776 בארץ in the land, H2664 וחפשׂתי   H853 אתו   H3605 בכל throughout all H505 אלפי the thousands H3063 יהודה׃ of Judah.

  50 H428 אלה These H1961 היו were H1121 בני the sons H3612 כלב of Caleb H1121 בן the son H2354 חור of Hur, H1060 בכור the firstborn H672 אפרתה of Ephratah; H7732 שׁובל Shobal H1 אבי the father H7157 קרית יערים׃ of Kirjath-jearim,

  51 H8007 שׂלמא Salma H1 אבי the father H1035 בית לחם of Bethlehem, H2780 חרף Hareph H1 אבי the father H1013 בית גדר׃ of Beth-gader.

  54 H1121 בני The sons H8007 שׂלמא of Salma; H1035 בית לחם Bethlehem, H5200 ונטופתי and the Netophathites, H5854 עטרות בית יואב Ataroth the house of Joab, H2677 וחצי and half H2680 המנחתי of the Manahethites, H6882 הצרעי׃ the Zorites.

  4 H6439 ופנואל And Penuel H1 אבי the father H1446 גדר of Gedor, H5829 ועזר and Ezer H1 אבי the father H2364 חושׁה of Hushah. H428 אלה These H1121 בני the sons H2354 חור of Hur, H1060 בכור the firstborn H672 אפרתה of Ephratah, H1 אבי the father H1035 בית לחם׃ of Bethlehem.

  2 H3588 כי For H3063 יהודה Judah H1396 גבר prevailed H251 באחיו above his brethren, H5057 ולנגיד him the chief ruler; H4480 ממנו and of H1062 והבכרה but the birthright H3130 ליוסף׃ Joseph's:)

  2 H2962 בטרם Before H2022 הרים the mountains H3205 ילדו were brought forth, H2342 ותחולל or ever thou hadst formed H776 ארץ the earth H8398 ותבל and the world, H5769 ומעולם even from everlasting H5704 עד to H5769 עולם everlasting, H859 אתה thou H410 אל׃ God.

  25 H6440 לפנים Of old H776 הארץ of the earth: H3245 יסדת hast thou laid the foundation H4639 ומעשׂה the work H3027 ידיך of thy hands. H8064 שׁמים׃ and the heavens

  26 H1992 המה They H6 יאבדו shall perish, H859 ואתה but thou H5975 תעמד shalt endure: H3605 וכלם yea, all H899 כבגד like a garment; H1086 יבלו of them shall wax old H3830 כלבושׁ as a vesture H2498 תחליפם shalt thou change H2498 ויחלפו׃ them, and they shall be changed:

  27 H859 ואתה But thou H1931 הוא the same, H8141 ושׁנותיך and thy years H3808 לא shall have no H8552 יתמו׃ end.

  6 H2009 הנה Lo, H8085 שׁמענוה we heard H672 באפרתה of it at Ephratah: H4672 מצאנוה we found H7704 בשׂדי it in the fields H3293 יער׃ of the wood.

  22 H3068 יהוה The LORD H7069 קנני possessed H7225 ראשׁית me in the beginning H1870 דרכו of his way, H6924 קדם before H4659 מפעליו his works H227 מאז׃ of old.

  23 H5769 מעולם from everlasting, H5258 נסכתי I was set up H7218 מראשׁ from the beginning, H6924 מקדמי or ever H776 ארץ׃ the earth

  6 H3588 כי For H3206 ילד unto us a child H3205 ילד is born, H1121 לנו בן unto us a son H5414 נתן is given: H1961 לנו ותהי shall be H4951 המשׂרה and the government H5921 על shall be upon H7926 שׁכמו his shoulder: H7121 ויקרא called H8034 שׁמו and his name H6382 פלא Wonderful, H3289 יועץ Counselor, H410 אל God, H1368 גבור The mighty H5703 אביעד The everlasting H8269 שׂר The Prince H7965 שׁלום׃ of Peace.

  7 H4766 לםרבה Of the increase H4951 המשׂרה of government H7965 ולשׁלום and peace H369 אין no H7093 קץ end, H5921 על upon H3678 כסא the throne H1732 דוד of David, H5921 ועל and upon H4467 ממלכתו his kingdom, H3559 להכין to order H853 אתה   H5582 ולסעדה it, and to establish H4941 במשׁפט it with judgment H6666 ובצדקה and with justice H6258 מעתה from henceforth H5704 ועד even forever. H5769 עולם even forever. H7068 קנאת The zeal H3068 יהוה of the LORD H6635 צבאות of hosts H6213 תעשׂה will perform H2063 זאת׃ this.

  1 H3318 ויצא And there shall come forth H2415 חטר a rod H1503 מגזע out of the stem H3448 ישׁי of Jesse, H5342 ונצר and a Branch H8328 משׁרשׁיו out of his roots: H6509 יפרה׃ shall grow

  2 H5927 ויעל For he shall grow up H3126 כיונק him as a tender plant, H6440 לפניו before H8328 וכשׁרשׁ and as a root H776 מארץ ground: H6723 ציה out of a dry H3808 לא he hath no H8389 תאר form H3808 לו ולא nor H1926 הדר comeliness; H7200 ונראהו and when we shall see H3808 ולא him, no H4758 מראה beauty H2530 ונחמדהו׃ that we should desire

  5 H1980 ואלך So I went, H2934 ואטמנהו and hid H6578 בפרת it by Euphrates, H834 כאשׁר as H6680 צוה commanded H3068 יהוה the LORD H853 אותי׃  

  6 H1961 ויהי And it came to pass H7093 מקץ after H3117 ימים days, H7227 רבים many H559 ויאמר said H3068 יהוה that the LORD H413 אלי unto H6965 קום me, Arise, H1980 לך go H6578 פרתה to Euphrates, H3947 וקח and take H8033 משׁם from thence, H853 את   H232 האזור the girdle H834 אשׁר which H6680 צויתיך I commanded H2934 לטמנו thee to hide H8033 שׁם׃ there.

  21 H1961 והיה shall be H117 אדירו And their nobles H4480 ממנו of H4910 ומשׁלו themselves, and their governor H7130 מקרבו from the midst H3318 יצא shall proceed H7126 והקרבתיו of them; and I will cause him to draw near, H5066 ונגשׁ and he shall approach H413 אלי unto H3588 כי me: for H4310 מי who H1931 הוא that H2088 זה this H6148 ערב engaged H853 את   H3820 לבו his heart H5066 לגשׁת to approach H413 אלי unto H5002 נאם me? saith H3068 יהוה׃ the LORD.

  22 H3541 כה Thus H559 אמר saith H136 אדני the Lord H3069 יהוה GOD; H3947 ולקחתי will also take H589 אני I H6788 מצמרת of the highest branch H730 הארז cedar, H7311 הרמה of the high H5414 ונתתי and will set H7218 מראשׁ from the top H3127 ינקותיו of his young twigs H7390 רך a tender one, H6998 אקטף I will crop off H8362 ושׁתלתי and will plant H589 אני   H5921 על upon H2022 הר mountain H1364 גבה a high H8524 ותלול׃ and eminent:

  23 H2022 בהר In the mountain H4791 מרום of the height H3478 ישׂראל of Israel H8362 אשׁתלנו will I plant H5375 ונשׂא it: and it shall bring forth H6057 ענף boughs, H6213 ועשׂה and bear H6529 פרי fruit, H1961 והיה and be H730 לארז cedar: H117 אדיר a goodly H7931 ושׁכנו it shall dwell H8478 תחתיו and under H3605 כל all H6833 צפור fowl H3605 כל of every H3671 כנף wing; H6738 בצל in the shadow H1808 דליותיו of the branches H7931 תשׁכנה׃ thereof shall they dwell.

  24 H3045 וידעו shall know H3605 כל And all H6086 עצי the trees H7704 השׂדה of the field H3588 כי that H589 אני I H3068 יהוה the LORD H8213 השׁפלתי have brought down H6086 עץ tree, H1364 גבה the high H1361 הגבהתי have exalted H6086 עץ tree, H8217 שׁפל the low H3001 הובשׁתי have dried up H6086 עץ tree, H3892 לח the green H6524 והפרחתי to flourish: H6086 עץ tree H3002 יבשׁ and have made the dry H589 אני I H3068 יהוה the LORD H1696 דברתי have spoken H6213 ועשׂיתי׃ and have done

  23 H6965 והקמתי And I will set up H5921 עליהם over H7462 רעה shepherd H259 אחד one H7462 ורעה them, and he shall feed H853 אתהן   H853 את   H5650 עבדי them, my servant H1732 דויד David; H1931 הוא them, and he H7462 ירעה he shall feed H853 אתם   H1931 והוא   H1961 יהיה shall be H7462 להן לרעה׃ their shepherd.

  24 H589 ואני And I H3068 יהוה the LORD H1961 אהיה will be H430 להם לאלהים their God, H5650 ועבדי and my servant H1732 דוד David H5387 נשׂיא a prince H8432 בתוכם among H589 אני them; I H3068 יהוה the LORD H1696 דברתי׃ have spoken

  22 H6213 ועשׂיתי And I will make H853 אתם   H1471 לגוי nation H259 אחד them one H776 בארץ in the land H2022 בהרי upon the mountains H3478 ישׂראל of Israel; H4428 ומלך king H259 אחד and one H1961 יהיה shall be H3605 לכלם to them all: H4428 למלך king H3808 ולא no H1961 יהיה and they shall be H1961 עוד   H8147 לשׁני two H1471 גוים nations, H3808 ולא neither H2673 יחצו shall they be divided H5750 עוד more H8147 לשׁתי into two H4467 ממלכות kingdoms H5750 עוד׃ any more at all:

  23 H3808 ולא Neither H2930 יטמאו shall they defile H5750 עוד themselves any more H1544 בגלוליהם with their idols, H8251 ובשׁקוציהם nor with their detestable things, H3605 ובכל nor with any H6588 פשׁעיהם of their transgressions: H3467 והושׁעתי but I will save H853 אתם   H3605 מכל them out of all H4186 מושׁבתיהם their dwelling places, H834 אשׁר wherein H2398 חטאו they have sinned, H2891 בהם וטהרתי and will cleanse H853 אותם   H1961 והיו them: so shall they be H5971 לי לעם my people, H589 ואני and I H1961 אהיה will be H430 להם לאלהים׃ their God.

  24 H5650 ועבדי my servant H1732 דוד And David H4428 מלך king H5921 עליהם over H7462 ורועה shepherd: H259 אחד one H1961 יהיה shall have H3605 לכלם them; and they all H4941 ובמשׁפטי in my judgments, H1980 ילכו they shall also walk H2708 וחקתי my statutes, H8104 ישׁמרו and observe H6213 ועשׂו and do H853 אותם׃  

  25 H3427 וישׁבו And they shall dwell H5921 על in H776 הארץ the land H834 אשׁר that H5414 נתתי I have given H5650 לעבדי my servant, H3290 ליעקב unto Jacob H834 אשׁר wherein H3427 ישׁבו have dwelt; H1 בה אבותיכם your fathers H3427 וישׁבו and they shall dwell H5921 עליה therein, H1992 המה they, H1121 ובניהם and their children, H1121 ובני and their children's H1121 בניהם children H5704 עד   H5769 עולם forever: H1732 ודוד David H5650 עבדי and my servant H5387 נשׂיא their prince H5769 להם לעולם׃ forever.

  11 H3117 ביום day H1931 ההוא In that H6965 אקים will I raise up H853 את   H5521 סכת the tabernacle H1732 דויד of David H5307 הנפלת that is fallen, H1443 וגדרתי and close up H853 את   H6556 פרציהן the breaches H2034 והרסתיו his ruins, H6965 אקים thereof; and I will raise up H1129 ובניתיה and I will build H3117 כימי it as in the days H5769 עולם׃ of old:

  9 H1523 גילי Rejoice H3966 מאד greatly, H1323 בת O daughter H6726 ציון of Zion; H7321 הריעי shout, H1323 בת O daughter H3389 ירושׁלם of Jerusalem: H2009 הנה behold, H4428 מלכך thy King H935 יבוא cometh H6662 לך צדיק just, H3467 ונושׁע and having salvation; H1931 הוא unto thee: he H6041 עני lowly, H7392 ורכב and riding H5921 על upon H2543 חמור an ass, H5921 ועל and upon H5895 עיר a colt H1121 בן the foal H860 אתנות׃ of an ass.

  16 H5414 ויתן   H853 את   H3478 ישׂראל   H1558 בגלל because H2403 חטאות of the sins H3379 ירבעם of Jeroboam, H834 אשׁר who H2398 חטא did sin, H834 ואשׁר and who H2398 החטיא   H853 את   H3478 ישׂראל׃  

  7 H408 ואל not H1961 תהיו And be H1 כאבותיכם ye like your fathers, H251 וכאחיכם and like your brethren, H834 אשׁר which H4603 מעלו trespassed H3068 ביהוה against the LORD H430 אלהי God H1 אבותיהם of their fathers, H5414 ויתנם therefore gave them up H8047 לשׁמה to desolation, H834 כאשׁר as H859 אתם ye H7200 ראים׃ see.

  20 H1961 והיה And it shall come to pass H3117 ביום day, H1931 ההוא in that H3808 לא shall no H3254 יוסיף again H5750 עוד more H7605 שׁאר the remnant H3478 ישׂראל of Israel, H6413 ופליטת and such as are escaped H1004 בית of the house H3290 יעקב of Jacob, H8172 להשׁען stay H5921 על upon H5221 מכהו him that smote H8172 ונשׁען them; but shall stay H5921 על upon H3068 יהוה the LORD, H6918 קדושׁ the Holy One H3478 ישׂראל of Israel, H571 באמת׃ in truth.

  21 H7605 שׁאר The remnant H7725 ישׁוב shall return, H7605 שׁאר the remnant H3290 יעקב of Jacob, H413 אל unto H410 אל God. H1368 גבור׃ the mighty

  11 H1961 והיה And it shall come to pass H3117 ביום day, H1931 ההוא in that H3254 יוסיף again H136 אדני the Lord H8145 שׁנית the second time H3027 ידו shall set his hand H7069 לקנות to recover H853 את   H7605 שׁאר the remnant H5971 עמו of his people, H834 אשׁר which H7604 ישׁאר shall be left, H804 מאשׁור   H4714 וממצרים   H6624 ומפתרוס   H3568 ומכושׁ   H5867 ומעילם   H8152 ומשׁנער   H2574 ומחמת   H339 ומאיי and from the islands H3220 הים׃ of the sea.

  7 H2962 בטרם Before H2342 תחיל she travailed, H3205 ילדה she brought forth; H2962 בטרם before H935 יבוא came, H2256 חבל her pain H4422 לה והמליטה she was delivered H2145 זכר׃ of a man child.

  8 H4310 מי Who H8085 שׁמע hath heard H2063 כזאת such a thing? H4310 מי who H7200 ראה hath seen H428 כאלה such things? H2342 היוחל be made to bring forth H776 ארץ Shall the earth H3117 ביום day? H259 אחד in one H518 אם   H3205 יולד be born H1471 גוי shall a nation H6471 פעם at once? H259 אחת at once? H3588 כי for H2342 חלה travailed, H1571 גם as soon H3205 ילדה she brought forth H6726 ציון as Zion H853 את   H1121 בניה׃ her children.

  1 H6256 בעת time, H1931 ההיא At the same H5002 נאם saith H3068 יהוה the LORD, H1961 אהיה will I be H430 לאלהים the God H3605 לכל of all H4940 משׁפחות the families H3478 ישׂראל of Israel, H1992 והמה and they H1961 יהיו shall be H5971 לי לעם׃ my people.

  7 H3588 כי For H3541 כה thus H559 אמר saith H3068 יהוה the LORD; H7442 רנו Sing H3290 ליעקב for Jacob, H8057 שׂמחה with gladness H6670 וצהלו and shout H7218 בראשׁ among the chief H1471 הגוים of the nations: H8085 השׁמיעו publish H1984 הללו ye, praise H559 ואמרו ye, and say, H3467 הושׁע save H3068 יהוה O LORD, H853 את   H5971 עמך thy people, H853 את   H7611 שׁארית the remnant H3478 ישׂראל׃ of Israel.

  8 H2005 הנני   H935 מביא I will bring H853 אותם   H776 מארץ country, H6828 צפון them from the north H6908 וקבצתים and gather H3411 מירכתי them from the coasts H776 ארץ of the earth, H5787 בם עור with them the blind H6455 ופסח and the lame, H2030 הרה   H3205 וילדת and her that travaileth with child H3162 יחדו together: H6951 קהל company H1419 גדול a great H7725 ישׁובו shall return H2008 הנה׃ thither.

  9 H1065 בבכי with weeping, H935 יבאו They shall come H8469 ובתחנונים and with supplications H2986 אובילם will I lead H1980 אוליכם them: I will cause them to walk H413 אל by H5158 נחלי the rivers H4325 מים of waters H1870 בדרך way, H3477 ישׁר in a straight H3808 לא wherein they shall not H3782 יכשׁלו stumble: H3588 בה כי for H1961 הייתי I am H3478 לישׂראל to Israel, H1 לאב a father H669 ואפרים and Ephraim H1060 בכרי my firstborn. H1931 הוא׃  

  9 H3651 לכן Therefore H7725 אשׁוב will I return, H3947 ולקחתי and take away H1715 דגני my corn H6256 בעתו in the time H8492 ותירושׁי thereof, and my wine H4150 במועדו in the season H5337 והצלתי thereof, and will recover H6785 צמרי my wool H6593 ופשׁתי and my flax H3680 לכסות to cover H853 את   H6172 ערותה׃ her nakedness.

  14 H3651 לכן Therefore, H2009 הנה behold, H595 אנכי I H6601 מפתיה will allure H1980 והלכתיה her, and bring H4057 המדבר her into the wilderness, H1696 ודברתי and speak H5921 על comfortably H3820 לבה׃ comfortably
