45 H4886 וימשׁחו have anointed H853 אתו H6659 צדוק And Zadok H3548 הכהן the priest H5416 ונתן and Nathan H5030 הנביא the prophet H4428 למלך him king H1521 בגחון in Gihon: H5927 ויעלו and they are come up H8033 משׁם from thence H8056 שׂמחים rejoicing, H1949 ותהם rang H7151 הקריה so that the city H1931 הוא again. This H6963 הקול the noise H834 אשׁר that H8085 שׁמעתם׃ ye have heard.

46 H1571 וגם And also H3427 ישׁב sitteth H8010 שׁלמה Solomon H5921 על on H3678 כסא the throne H4410 המלוכה׃ of the kingdom.

47 H1571 וגם And moreover H935 באו came H5650 עבדי servants H4428 המלך the king's H1288 לברך to bless H853 את H113 אדנינו our lord H4428 המלך king H1732 דוד David, H559 לאמר saying, H3190 ייטב better H430 אלהיך God H853 את H8034 שׁם make the name H8010 שׁלמה of Solomon H8034 משׁמך than thy name, H1431 ויגדל greater H853 את H3678 כסאו and make his throne H3678 מכסאך than thy throne. H7812 וישׁתחו bowed himself H4428 המלך And the king H5921 על upon H4904 המשׁכב׃ the bed.

48 H1571 וגם And also H3602 ככה thus H559 אמר said H4428 המלך the king, H1288 ברוך Blessed H3068 יהוה the LORD H430 אלהי God H3478 ישׂראל of Israel, H834 אשׁר which H5414 נתן hath given H3117 היום this day, H3427 ישׁב to sit H5921 על on H3678 כסאי my throne H5869 ועיני mine eyes H7200 ראות׃ even seeing

49 H2729 ויחרדו were afraid, H6965 ויקמו and rose up, H3605 כל And all H7121 הקראים the guests H834 אשׁר that H138 לאדניהו with Adonijah H1980 וילכו and went H376 אישׁ every man H1870 לדרכו׃ his way.

50 H138 ואדניהו And Adonijah H3372 ירא feared H6440 מפני because H8010 שׁלמה of Solomon, H6965 ויקם and arose, H1980 וילך and went, H2388 ויחזק and caught hold H7161 בקרנות on the horns H4196 המזבח׃ of the altar.

51 H5046 ויגד And it was told H8010 לשׁלמה Solomon, H559 לאמר saying, H2009 הנה Behold, H138 אדניהו Adonijah H3372 ירא feareth H853 את H4428 המלך king H8010 שׁלמה Solomon: H2009 והנה for, lo, H270 אחז he hath caught hold H7161 בקרנות on the horns H4196 המזבח of the altar, H559 לאמר saying, H7650 ישׁבע swear H3117 לי כיום unto me today H4428 המלך Let king H8010 שׁלמה Solomon H518 אם that he will not H4191 ימית slay H853 את H5650 עבדו his servant H2719 בחרב׃ with the sword.

52 H559 ויאמר said, H8010 שׁלמה And Solomon H518 אם If H1961 יהיה he will show H1121 לבן man, H2428 חיל himself a worthy H3808 לא there shall not H5307 יפל him fall H8185 משׂערתו H776 ארצה to the earth: H518 ואם but if H7451 רעה wickedness H4672 תמצא shall be found H4191 בו ומת׃ in him, he shall die.

53 H7971 וישׁלח sent, H4428 המלך So king H8010 שׁלמה Solomon H3381 וירדהו and they brought him down H5921 מעל from H4196 המזבח the altar. H935 ויבא And he came H7812 וישׁתחו and bowed himself H4428 למלך to king H8010 שׁלמה Solomon: H559 ויאמר said H8010 לו שׁלמה and Solomon H1980 לך unto him, Go H1004 לביתך׃ to thine house.
