⁴⁹ Jesus answered, "I am not possessed, but I have respect for my Father, and you have no respect for me.

¹⁵ But Jesus answered, "Let it be so this time, for it is right for us to do everything that God requires." Then John consented. ¹⁶ And when Jesus was baptized, he went right up out of the water, and the heavens opened, and he saw the Spirit of God come down like a dove and light upon him, ¹⁷ and a voice from heaven said, "This is my Son, my Beloved! This is my Chosen."

²⁹ And he who has sent me is with me; he has not left me alone, for I always do what pleases him."

⁴ When Jesus received it he said, "This sickness is not to end in death, but is for the honor of God, that through it the Son of God may be honored."

²⁸ Father, honor your own name!" Then there came a voice from the sky, "I have honored it, and I will honor it again!"

³¹ When he was gone, Jesus said, "Now the Son of Man has been honored, and God has been honored through him, ³² and God will through himself honor him; he will honor him immediately.

¹³ Anything you ask for as followers of mine I will grant, so that the Father may be honored through the Son.

⁴ I have done honor to you here on earth, by completing the work which you gave me to do.
