¹⁵ And others continued to say, That He is Elijah; and others continued to say that He is a prophet, indeed one of the prophets.

¹⁴ And they said, Some, John the Baptist; and some, Elijah; and others, Jeremiah, or one of the prophets.

¹⁰ And His disciples asked Him, saying, Why then do the scribes say that it behooves Elijah to come first? ¹¹ And Jesus responding said to them, Elijah indeed comes, and will restore all things:

¹¹ And the multitudes continued to say, He is the prophet Jesus, the one from Nazareth of Galilee.

²⁸ And they answered Him saying, John the Baptist: and others, Elijah; and others, One of the prophets.

¹² He responding said to them, Elijah indeed having first come, restores all things: and how has it been written in reference to the Son of man, that he should suffer many things, and be set at naught? ¹³ But I say unto you, that Elijah indeed has come, and they did unto him so many things as they wished, as has been written in reference to him.

³⁵ And certain ones of those standing by said, Behold, He is calling Elijah. ³⁶ And one running and filling a sponge with vinegar, and reaching it forth on a reed, gave Him drink, saying, Let Him alone, let us see if Elijah comes to take Him down.

¹⁷ And he will go before Him in the spirit and Power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient unto the understanding of the righteous, to prepare a people made ready for the Lord.

¹⁶ And fear seized them all: and they continued to glorify God, saying that, A great prophet has arisen among us: and, God has looked upon His people.

³⁹ And the Pharisee, having invited Him, seeing, spoke within himself, saying, If He were a prophet, He would know who and what kind the woman is, who touches Him, because she is a sinner.

⁸ and by some that Elijah has appeared; and by others that one of the old prophets is arisen.

¹⁹ They responding said, John the Baptist; and others, Elijah; and others, that one of the old prophets is risen.

²¹ They asked him, What then? Art thou Elijah? And he says, I am not. Art thou that prophet?

²⁵ And they asked him, and said to him, Then why do you baptize, if you are not the Christ, nor Elijah, nor that prophet?

¹⁴ Then the people, seeing the miracle which Jesus did, were saying, that, This is truly the prophet who is coming into the world.

⁴⁰ Then those hearing these words from the multitude, were saying, This is truly the prophet;

¹⁷ Then they again say to the blind man, What do you say concerning Him, because He opened your eyes? And he said that, He is a prophet.

²² Moses indeed said; The Lord our God will raise up to you from your brethren a prophet like unto me; Him you will hear concerning all things so many as he may speak to you. ²³ And it shall come to pass, that every soul whosoever will not hear that prophet, shall be cut off from the people.
