⁴ And it came to pass, while they were at a loss concerning this, and behold, two men stood by them in shining garments:

² And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel descending from heaven, having come rolled away the stone from the door, and sat upon it. ³ And his countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow. ⁴ And from fear of him the keepers did quake, and they became like dead men. ⁵ And the angel responding, said to the women, Be ye not afraid: for I know that you are seeking Jesus, who has been crucified. ⁶ He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

⁵ And having come to the sepulcher, they saw a young man sitting on the right, clothed in a white robe. And they were affrighted.
