¹⁰ For the love of money is a root of all evils: which some seeking after have wandered from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

¹³ But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because you shut up the kingdom of the heavens against the people: for you do not go in, neither do you permit those coming in to enter.

¹⁰ For Demas has left me, having loved the present age, and is gone into Thessalonica; Crescents into Galatia, Titus into Dalmatia.

¹¹ whose mouths it is necessary to stop; who overturn whole families, teaching those things which it does not behoove, for the sake of disgraceful gain.

¹⁹ My brethren, if any one among you may err from the truth, and one may turn him back;

⁷ and he delivered righteous Lot, being grieved by the deportment of the ungodly in their debauchery: ⁸ (for the righteous man dwelling among them, by seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds:)
