¹ Oh that thou werest as my brother that sucked the brestes of my mother: I would finde thee without, I would kisse thee, then they should not despise thee.

¹² Kisse the sonne, least he be angry, and ye perish in the way, when his wrath shall suddenly burne. blessed are all that trust in him.

¹⁰ Hearken, O daughter, and consider, and incline thine eare: forget also thine owne people and thy fathers house. ¹¹ So shall the King haue pleasure in thy beautie: for he is thy Lord, and reuerence thou him.

¹⁷ The sacrifices of God are a contrite spirit: a contrite and a broken heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.

¹⁶ When the Lord shall build vp Zion, and shall appeare in his glory, ¹⁷ And shall turne vnto the prayer of the desolate, and not despise their prayer.

² Because of the sauour of thy good ointments thy name is as an ointment powred out: therefore the virgins loue thee.

¹⁴ Therefore the Lord himselfe will giue you a signe. Beholde, the virgine shall conceiue and beare a sonne, and she shall call his name Immanu-el.

⁶ For vnto vs a childe is borne, and vnto vs a Sonne is giuen: and the gouernement is vpon his shoulder, and he shall call his name Wonderfull, Counseller, The mightie God, The euerlasting Father, The prince of peace,

¹⁴ The sonnes also of them that afflicted thee, shall come and bowe vnto thee: and all they that despised thee, shall fall downe at the soles of thy feete: and they shall call thee, The citie of the Lord, Zion of the Holy one of Israel.

¹¹ That ye may sucke and be satisfied with the brestes of her consolation: that ye may milke out and be delited with ye brightnes of her glorie. ¹² For thus saith the Lord, Beholde, I will extend peace ouer her like a flood, and the glorie of the Gentiles like a flowing streame: then shall ye sucke, ye shall be borne vpon her sides, and be ioyfull vpon her knees.

⁷ For thus sayth the Lord of hostes, Yet a litle while, and I will shake the heauens and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land:

⁹ Reioyce greatly, O daughter Zion: shoute for ioy, O daughter Ierusalem: beholde, thy King commeth vnto thee: he is iust and saued himselfe, poore and riding vpon an asse, and vpon a colt the foale of an asse.

¹ Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord whom ye seeke, shall speedely come to his Temple: euen the messenger of the couenant whom ye desire: beholde, he shall come, sayth the Lord of hostes.

¹⁶ But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your eares, for they heare. ¹⁷ For verely I say vnto you, that many Prophets, and righteous men haue desired to see those things which ye see, and haue not seene them, and to heare those things which ye heare, and haue not heard them.

⁴² And there came a certaine poore widowe, and she threw in two mites, which make a quadrin. ⁴³ Then he called vnto him his disciples, and said vnto them, Verely I say vnto you, that this poore widowe hath cast more in, then all they which haue cast into the treasurie. ⁴⁴ For they all did cast in of their superfluitie: but she of her pouertie did cast in all that she had, euen all her liuing.

⁶ But Iesus saide, Let her alone: why trouble yee her? shee hath wrought a good worke on me. ⁷ For yee haue the poore with you alwaies, and when yee will yee may doe them good, but me yee shall not haue alwaies. ⁸ She hath done that she coulde: she came afore hand to anoynt my body to the burying. ⁹ Verely I say vnto you, wheresoeuer this Gospel shall be preached throughout the whole world, this also that she hath done, shalbe spoken of in remembrance of her.

²⁶ And it was declared to him from God by the holy Ghost, that he shoulde not see death, before he had seene that Anointed of the Lord. ²⁷ And he came by the motion of the spirit into the Temple, and when the parents brought in the babe Iesus, to do for him after the custome of the Lawe, ²⁸ Then hee tooke him in his armes, and praised God, and sayd, ²⁹ Lord, nowe lettest thou thy seruaunt depart in peace, according to thy woorde, ³⁰ For mine eyes haue seene thy saluation, ³¹ Which thou hast prepared before the face of all people, ³² A light to be reueiled to the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel.

³⁸ She then coming at the same instant vpon them, confessed likewise the Lord, and spake of him to all that looked for redemption in Hierusalem.

⁴⁵ Thou gauest me no kisse: but she, since the time I came in, hath not ceased to kisse my feete. ⁴⁶ Mine head with oyle thou didest not anoint: but she hath anoynted my feete with oyntment. ⁴⁷ Wherefore I say vnto thee, many sinnes are forgiuen her: for she loued much. To whom a litle is forgiuen, he doeth loue a litle. ⁴⁸ And he saide vnto her, Thy sinnes are forgiuen thee.

²⁶ For whosoeuer shall be ashamed of me, and of my wordes, of him shall the Sonne of man be ashamed, when hee shall come in his glorie, and in the glorie of the Father, and of the holy Angels.

¹⁶ He that heareth you, heareth me: and he that despiseth you, despiseth me: and he that despiseth me, despiseth him that sent me.

²³ And he turned to his disciples, and said secretly, Blessed are the eyes, which see that ye see. ²⁴ For I tell you that many Prophets and Kings haue desired to see those things, which ye see, and haue not seene them: and to heare those things which ye heare, and haue not heard them.

⁸ Also I say vnto you, Whosoeuer shall confesse mee before men, him shall the Sonne of man confesse also before the Angels of God.

⁹ He spake also this parable vnto certaine which trusted in themselues that they were iust, and despised other.

¹⁴ And that Word was made flesh, and dwelt among vs, (and we sawe the glorie thereof, as the glorie of the onely begotten Sonne of the Father) full of grace and trueth.

¹³ For no man ascendeth vp to heauen, but he that hath descended from heauen, that Sonne of man which is in heauen.

⁴⁶ The officers answered, Neuer man spake like this man. ⁴⁷ Then answered them the Pharises, Are yee also deceiued? ⁴⁸ Doeth any of the rulers, or of the Pharises beleeue in him? ⁴⁹ But this people, which know not the Law, are cursed. ⁵⁰ Nicodemus said vnto them, (he that came to Iesus by night, and was one of them.) ⁵¹ Doth our Law iudge a man before it heare him, and knowe what he hath done? ⁵² They answered, and said vnto him, Art thou also of Galile? Searche and looke: for out of Galile ariseth no Prophet.

⁴² Therefore Iesus sayde vnto them, If God were your Father, then woulde ye loue mee: for I proceeded foorth, and came from God, neither came I of my selfe, but he sent me.

²⁵ Then he answered, and sayd, Whether hee be a sinner or no, I can not tell: one thing I know, that I was blinde, and nowe I see. ²⁶ Then sayd they to him againe, What did he to thee? howe opened he thine eyes? ²⁷ Hee answered them, I haue tolde you already, and yee haue not heard it: wherefore would yee heare it againe? will yee also be his disciples? ²⁸ Then reuiled they him, and sayd, Be thou his disciple: we be Moses disciples. ²⁹ We know that God spake with Moses: but this man we know not from whence he is. ³⁰ The man answered, and sayde vnto them, Doutlesse, this is a marueilous thing, that ye know not whence he is, and yet he hath opened mine eyes. ³¹ Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him heareth he. ³² Since the world began, was it not heard, that any man opened the eyes of one that was borne blinde. ³³ If this man were not of God, hee could haue done nothing. ³⁴ They answered, and sayd vnto him, Thou art altogether borne in sinnes, and doest thou teach vs? so they cast him out. ³⁵ Iesus heard that they had cast him out: and when he had found him, he sayd vnto him, Doest thou beleeue in the Sonne of God? ³⁶ He answered, and sayd, Who is he, Lord, that I might beleeue in him? ³⁷ And Iesus sayd vnto him, Both thou hast seene him, and he it is that talketh with thee. ³⁸ Then he sayd, Lord, I beleeue, and worshipped him.

³ Iesus knowing that the Father had giuen all things into his hands, and that he was come forth from God, and went to God,

²⁸ I am come out from the Father, and came into the worlde: againe I leaue the worlde, and goe to the Father.

²⁸ And vile things of the worlde and thinges which are despised, hath God chosen, and thinges which are not, to bring to nought thinges that are,

²⁶ But Hierusalem, which is aboue, is free: which is the mother of vs all.

¹⁴ But God forbid that I should reioyce, but in ye crosse of our Lord Iesus Christ, whereby the world is crucified vnto me, and I vnto ye world.

³ For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirite, and reioyce in Christ Iesus, and haue no confidence in the flesh:

⁷ But the thinges that were vantage vnto me, the same I counted losse for Christes sake. ⁸ Yea, doubtlesse I thinke all thinges but losse for the excellent knowledge sake of Christ Iesus my Lord, for whome I haue counted all things losse, and doe iudge them to bee dongue, that I might winne Christ,

¹⁶ And without controuersie, great is the mysterie of godlinesse, which is, God is manifested in the flesh, iustified in the Spirit, seene of Angels, preached vnto the Gentiles, beleeued on in the world, and receiued vp in glorie.

⁹ But we see Iesus crowned with glory and honour, which was made litle inferiour to the Angels, through the suffering of death, that by Gods grace he might taste death for all men. ¹⁰ For it became him, for whome are all these thinges, and by whome are all these things, seeing that hee brought many children vnto glory, that he should consecrate the Prince of their saluation through afflictions. ¹¹ For he that sanctifieth, and they which are sanctified, are all of one: wherefore he is not ashamed to call them brethren, ¹² Saying, I will declare thy Name vnto my brethren: in the middes of the Church will I sing praises to thee. ¹³ And againe, I will put my trust in him. And againe, Beholde, here am I, and the children which God hath giuen me. ¹⁴ Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himselfe likewise tooke part with them, that hee might destroye through death, him that had the power of death, that is the deuil,

²⁶ (For then must he haue often suffred since the foundation of the world) but now in the end of the world hath he bene made manifest, once to put away sinne by the sacrifice of him selfe. ²⁷ And as it is appointed vnto men that they shall once die, and after that commeth the iudgement: ²⁸ So Christ was once offered to take away the sinnes of many, and vnto them that looke for him, shall he appeare the second time without sinne vnto saluation.
