⁹ Let thine eyes be on the field that they do reape, and goe thou after the maidens. Haue I not charged the seruants, that they touche thee not? Moreouer whe thou art a thirst, go vnto ye vessels, and drinke of that which ye seruants haue drawen.

⁶ And God saide vnto him by a dreame, I knowe that thou diddest this euen with an vpright minde, and I kept thee also that thou shouldest not sinne against me: therefore suffered I thee not to touche her.

¹⁸ And she said, Drinke sir: and she hasted, and let downe her pitcher vpon her hand and gaue him drinke. ¹⁹ And when she had giuen him drinke, she said, I will drawe water for thy camels also vntill they haue drunken inough. ²⁰ And she powred out her pitcher into the trough speedily; and ranne againe vnto the well to drawe water, and she drewe for all his camels.

²¹ Haue pitie vpon me: haue pitie vpon me, (O yee my friendes) for the hande of God hath touched me.

¹⁵ Touche not mine anointed, and doe my Prophets no harme.

²⁹ So he that goeth in to his neighbours wife, shall not be innocent, whosoeuer toucheth her.

⁴² And whosoeuer shall giue vnto one of these litle ones to drinke a cuppe of colde water onely, in the name of a disciple, verely I say vnto you, he shall not lose his rewarde.

⁷ There came a woman of Samaria to drawe water. Iesus sayd vnto her, Giue me drinke. ⁸ For his disciples were gone away into the citie, to buy meate. ⁹ Then sayde the woman of Samaria vnto him, Howe is it, that thou being a Iewe, askest drinke of me, which am a woman of Samaria? For the Iewes meddle not with the Samaritans. ¹⁰ Iesus answered and saide vnto her, If thou knewest that gift of God, and who it is that saieth to thee, Giue mee drinke, thou wouldest haue asked of him, and hee woulde haue giuen thee, water of life. ¹¹ The woman saide vnto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to drawe with, and the well is deepe: from whence then hast thou that water of life?

¹ Nowe concerning the thinges whereof ye wrote vnto mee, It were good for a man not to touche a woman.

¹⁸ We know that whosoeuer is borne of God, sinneth not: but he that is begotten of God, keepeth himselfe, and that wicked one toucheth him not.
