³⁵ Who shall separate vs from the loue of Christ? shall tribulation or anguish, or persecution, or famine, or nakednesse, or perill, or sworde?

¹⁷ But the louing kindnesse of the Lord endureth for euer and euer vpon them that feare him, and his righteousnes vpon childrens children,

³ The Lord hath appeared vnto me of old, say they: Yea, I haue loued thee with an euerlasting loue, therefore with mercie I haue drawen thee.

¹⁰ Blessed are they which suffer persecution for righteousnes sake: for theirs is the kingdome of heauen. ¹¹ Blessed shall ye be when men reuile you, and persecute you, and say all maner of euill against you for my sake, falsely. ¹² Reioyce and be glad, for great is your reward in heauen: for so persecuted they the Prophets which were before you.

²⁸ And feare yee not them which kill the bodie, but are nor able to kill the soule: but rather feare him, which is able to destroy both soule and bodie in hell. ²⁹ Are not two sparrowes sold for a farthing, and one of them shall not fal on the ground without your Father? ³⁰ Yea, and all the heares of your head are nombred. ³¹ Feare ye not therefore, yee are of more value then many sparowes.

¹² But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, deliuering you vp to the assemblies, and into prisons, and bring you before Kings and rulers for my Names sake. ¹³ And this shall turne to you, for a testimoniall. ¹⁴ Lay it vp therefore in your heartes, that ye cast not before hand, what ye shall answere. ¹⁵ For I will giue you a mouth and wisdome, where against all your aduersaries shall not be able to speake, nor resist. ¹⁶ Yea, ye shalbe betrayed also of your parents, and of your brethren, and kinsmen, and friendes, and some of you shall they put to death. ¹⁷ And ye shall bee hated of all men for my Names sake. ¹⁸ Yet there shall not one heare of your heads perish.

²⁸ And I giue vnto them eternall life, and they shall neuer perish, neither shall any plucke them out of mine hand.

¹ Nowe before the feast of the Passeouer, when Iesus knewe that his houre was come, that he should depart out of this world vnto the Father, forasmuch as he loued his owne which were in the world, vnto the end he loued them.

³³ These thinges haue I spoken vnto you, that in me ye might haue peace: in the world ye shall haue affliction, but be of good comfort: I haue ouercome the world.

²² Confirming the disciples hearts, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, affirming that we must through many afflictions enter into the kingdome of God.

²³ Saue that ye holy Ghost witnesseth in euery citie, saying, that bondes and afflictions abide me. ²⁴ But I passe not at all, neither is my life deare vnto my selfe, so that I may fulfill my course with ioye, and the ministration which I haue receiued of the Lord Iesus, to testifie the Gospell of the grace of God.

³ Neither that onely, but also we reioyce in tribulations, knowing that tribulation bringeth forth patience, ⁴ And patience experience, and experience hope, ⁵ And hope maketh not ashamed, because the loue of God is shed abroade in our heartes by the holy Ghost, which is giuen vnto vs.

¹⁷ If we be children, we are also heires, euen the heires of God, and heires annexed with Christ: if so be that we suffer with him, that we may also be glorified with him.

³⁹ Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature shalbe able to separate vs from the loue of God, which is in Christ Iesus our Lord.

¹¹ Vnto this houre we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and haue no certaine dwelling place,

¹⁷ For our light affliction which is but for a moment, causeth vnto vs a farre most excellent and an eternall waight of glorie:

⁴ But in all things we approue our selues as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses, ⁵ In stripes, in prisons, in tumults, in labours, ⁶ By watchings, by fastings, by puritie, by knowledge, by long suffering, by kindnesse, by the holy Ghost, by loue vnfained, ⁷ By the worde of trueth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousnesse on the right hand, and on the left, ⁸ By honour, and dishonour, by euill report, and good report, as deceiuers, and yet true: ⁹ As vnknowen, and yet knowen: as dying, and beholde, we liue: as chastened, and yet not killed: ¹⁰ As sorowing, and yet alway reioycing: as poore, and yet make many riche: as hauing nothing, and yet possessing all things.

²³ They are the ministers of Christ (I speake as a foole) I am more: in labours more aboundant: in stripes aboue measure: in prison more plenteously: in death oft. ²⁴ Of the Iewes fiue times receiued I fourtie stripes saue one. ²⁵ I was thrise beaten with roddes: I was once stoned: I suffered thrise shipwracke: night and day haue I bene in the deepe sea. ²⁶ In iourneying I was often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils of mine owne nation, in perils among the Gentiles, in perils in the citie, in perils in wildernes, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren, ²⁷ In wearinesse and painefulnesse, in watching often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in colde and in nakednesse.

¹³ But we ought to giue thankes alway to God for you, brethren beloued of the Lord, because that God hath from the beginning chosen you to saluation, through sanctification of the Spirit, and the faith of trueth, ¹⁴ Whereunto he called you by our Gospel, to obtaine the glory of our Lord Iesus Christ.

¹⁶ Now the same Iesus Christ our Lord; and our God euen the Father which hath loued vs, and hath giuen vs euerlasting consolation and good hope through grace,

¹² For the which cause I also suffer these things, but I am not ashamed: for I knowe whom I haue beleeued, and I am persuaded that he is able to keepe that which I haue committed to him against that day.

¹⁶ At my first answering no man assisted me, but all forsooke me: I pray God, that it may not be laide to their charge. ¹⁷ Notwithstanding the Lord assisted me, and strengthened me, that by me the preaching might be fully beleeued, and that al the Gentiles should heare: and I was deliuered out of the mouth of the lion. ¹⁸ And the Lord will deliuer me from euery euil worke, and will preserue me vnto his heauenly kingdome: to whome be praise for euer and euer, Amen.

³ Consider therefore him that endured such speaking against of sinners, lest ye should be wearied and faint in your mindes. ⁴ Ye haue not yet resisted vnto blood, striuing against sinne. ⁵ And ye haue forgotten the consolation, which speaketh vnto you as vnto children, My sonne, despise not the chastening of the Lord, neither faint when thou art rebuked of him. ⁶ For whom the Lord loueth, he chasteneth: and he scourgeth euery sonne that he receiueth: ⁷ If ye endure chastening, God offereth him selfe vnto you as vnto sonnes: for what sonne is it whom the father chasteneth not? ⁸ If therefore ye be without correction, whereof al are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sonnes. ⁹ Moreouer we haue had the fathers of our bodies which corrected vs, and we gaue them reuerence: should we not much rather be in subiection vnto the father of spirites, that we might liue? ¹⁰ For they verely for a few dayes chastened vs after their owne pleasure: but he chasteneth vs for our profite, that we might be partakers of his holinesse. ¹¹ Now no chastising for the present seemeth to be ioyous, but, grieuous: but afterwarde, it bringeth the quiet fruite of righteousnesse, vnto them which are thereby exercised.

² My brethren, count it exceeding ioy, when ye fall into diuers tentations, ³ Knowing that ye trying of your faith bringeth forth patience, ⁴ And let patience haue her perfect worke, that ye may be perfect and entier, lacking nothing. ⁵ Which are kept by the power of God through faith vnto saluation, which is prepared to be shewed in the last time. ⁶ Wherein yee reioyce, though nowe for a season (if neede require) yee are in heauinesse, through manifolde tentations, ⁷ That the triall of your faith, being much more precious then golde that perisheth (though it be tried with fire) might bee founde vnto your praise, and honour and glorie at the appearing of Iesus Christ:

¹² Dearely beloued, thinke it not strange concerning the firie triall, which is among you to proue you, as though some strange thing were come vnto you: ¹³ But reioyce, in asmuch as ye are partakers of Christs suffrings, that when his glory shall appeare, ye may be glad and reioyce. ¹⁴ If yee be railed vpon for the Name of Christ, blessed are ye: for the spirit of glory, and of God resteth vpon you: which on their part is euill spoken of: but on your part is glorified.

⁵ And from Iesus Christ, which is that faithful witnes, and that first begotten of the dead, and that Prince of the Kings of the earth, vnto him that loued vs, and washed vs from our sinnes in his blood,

¹⁴ And I saide vnto him, Lord, thou knowest. And he saide to me, These are they, which came out of great tribulation, and haue washed their long robes, and haue made their long robes white in the blood of the Lambe. ¹⁵ Therefore are they in the presence of the throne of God, and serue him day and night in his Temple, and he that sitteth on the throne, wil dwell among them. ¹⁶ They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more, neither shall the sunne light on them, neither any heate. ¹⁷ For the Lambe, which is in the middes of the throne, shall gouerne them, and shall leade them vnto the liuely fountaines of waters, and God shall wipe away all teares from their eyes.
