³ For (that that was impossible to ye Lawe, in as much as it was weake, because of ye flesh) God sending his owne Sonne, in ye similitude of sinful flesh, and for sinne, condened sinne in the flesh,

²⁷ They crucified also with him two theeues, the one on ye right hand, and the other on his left.

¹⁴ And that Word was made flesh, and dwelt among vs, (and we sawe the glorie thereof, as the glorie of the onely begotten Sonne of the Father) full of grace and trueth.

¹⁴ And as Moses lift vp the serpent in the wildernesse, so must that Sonne of man be lift vp, ¹⁵ That whosoeuer beleeueth in him, shoulde not perish, but haue eternall life. ¹⁶ For God so loued the worlde, that hee hath giuen his onely begotten Sonne, that whosoeuer beleeueth in him, should not perish, but haue euerlasting life. ¹⁷ For God sent not his Sonne into the world, that he should condemne the world, but that the world through him might be saued.

²⁴ Then againe called they the man that had bene blinde, and sayd vnto him, Giue glory vnto God: we know that this man is a sinner.

³⁹ And from al things, from which ye could not be iustified by the Law of Moses, by him euery one that beleeueth, is iustified.

²⁰ Therefore by the woorkes of the Lawe shall no flesh be iustified in his sight: for by the Lawe commeth the knowledge of sinne.

⁶ Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sinne might be destroied, that henceforth we should not serue sinne.

⁵ For when we were in ye flesh, the affections of sinnes, which were by the Law, had force in our members, to bring foorth fruit vnto death. ⁶ But now we are deliuered from the Lawe, he being dead in whom we were holden, that we should serue in newnesse of Spirite, and not in the oldnesse of the letter. ⁷ What shall we say then? Is the Lawe sinne? God forbid. Nay, I knewe not sinne, but by the Lawe: for I had not knowen lust, except the Lawe had sayd, Thou shalt not lust. ⁸ But sinne tooke an occasion by ye commandement, and wrought in me all maner of concupiscence: for without the Lawe sinne is dead. ⁹ For I once was aliue, without the Law: but when the commandement came, sinne reuiued, ¹⁰ But I died: and the same commandement which was ordeined vnto life, was found to be vnto me vnto death. ¹¹ For sinne tooke occasion by the commandement, and deceiued me, and thereby slewe me.

³² Who spared not his owne Sonne, but gaue him for vs all to death, how shall he not with him giue vs all things also?

³ For I woulde wish my selfe to be separate from Christ, for my brethren that are my kinsemen according to the flesh,

²¹ For he hath made him to be sinne for vs, which knewe no sinne, that we should be made the righteousnesse of God in him.

¹³ Christ hath redeemed vs from the curse of the Lawe, made a curse for vs, (for it is written, Cursed is euery one that hangeth on tree)

²¹ Is the Lawe then against the promises of God? God forbid: For if there had bene a Lawe giuen which coulde haue giuen life, surely righteousnes should haue bene by the Lawe.

⁴ But when the fulnesse of time was come, God sent forth his Sonne made of a woman, and made vnder the Lawe, ⁵ That hee might redeeme them which were vnder the Law, that we might receiue the adoption of the sonnes.

⁷ But he made himself of no reputation, and tooke on him ye forme of a seruant, and was made like vnto men, and was founde in shape as a man.

¹⁴ Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himselfe likewise tooke part with them, that hee might destroye through death, him that had the power of death, that is the deuil,

¹⁷ Wherefore in all things it behoued him to be made like vnto his brethren, that hee might be mercifull, and a faithfull hie Priest in things concerning God, that he might make reconciliation for the sinnes of the people.

¹⁵ For we haue not an hie Priest, which can not be touched with the feeling of our infirmities, but was in all things tempted in like sort, yet without sinne.

¹⁸ For the commandement that went afore, is disanulled, because of the weakenes thereof, and vnprofitablenes. ¹⁹ For the Law made nothing perfite, but the bringing in of a better hope made perfite, whereby we drawe neere vnto God.

¹ For the Law hauing the shadowe of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can neuer with those sacrifices, which they offer yeere by yeere continually, sanctifie the commers thereunto. ² For would they not then haue ceased to haue bene offered, because that the offerers once purged, should haue had no more conscience of sinnes? ³ But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance againe of sinnes euery yeere. ⁴ For it is vnpossible that the blood of bulles and goates should take away sinnes. ⁵ Wherefore when he commeth into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offring thou wouldest not: but a body hast thou ordeined me. ⁶ In burnt offerings, and sinne offrings thou hast had no pleasure. ⁷ Then I sayd, Lo, I come (In the beginning of the booke it is written of me) that I should doe thy will, O God. ⁸ Aboue, when he sayd, Sacrifice and offring, and burnt offrings, and sinne offrings thou wouldest not haue, neither hadst pleasure therein (which are offered by the Lawe) ⁹ Then sayd he, Lo, I come to doe thy wil, O God, he taketh away the first, that he may stablish the second. ¹⁰ By the which wil we are sanctified, euen by the offring of the body of Iesus Christ once made.

¹² But this man after he had offered one sacrifice for sinnes, sitteth for euer at the right hand of God,

¹⁴ For with one offering hath he consecrated for euer them that are sanctified.

²⁴ Who his owne selfe bare our sinnes in his body on the tree, that we being dead to sinne, should liue in righteousnesse: by whose stripes ye were healed.

¹ Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for vs in the flesh, arme your selues likewise with the same minde, which is, that he which hath suffered in the flesh, hath ceased from sinne, ² That he hence forward should liue (as much time as remaineth in the flesh) not after the lusts of men, but after the will of God.

¹⁰ Herein is that loue, not that we loued God, but that he loued vs, and sent his Sonne to be a reconciliation for our sinnes. ¹¹ Beloued, if God so loued vs, we ought also to loue one another. ¹² No man hath seene God at any time. If we loue one another, God dwelleth in vs, and his loue is perfect in vs. ¹³ Hereby know we, that we dwell in him, and he in vs: because he hath giuen vs of his Spirit. ¹⁴ And we haue seene, and doe testifie, that the Father sent that Sonne to be ye Sauiour of the world.
